Our waitress Josephine was amazing! So was the food!
Nonna Rosa brings excellent scratch Italian cooking to my hometown of Robbinsdale. Their dining and wine selections are top-notch.
I had a wonderful birthday celebration!! Our waitress was very meticulous and had a wonderfully positive attitude!!
Great experience and the best Italian I have found since the East Coast!!
I am Italian and VERY fussy about Italian food. The food was the best I have had in the twin cities. Generous servings, great presentation and all four of us gushed about the quality and taste of the food. Great service and a very nice intimate atmosphere. I felt I was having dinner in my Sicilian Grandmother's kitchen! Can't wait to go back.
It is so relaxing and the food and help are amazing.
Wonderful staff and incredible food! My favorite restaurant for sure!
Regular patron and love it every time.
Nonna Rosa is a Robbinsdale fixture, destination “eat street” venue. Genuine Italian cuisine cooked fresh , homemade and delicious. Classic dishes, nice sized portions and reasonable prices. Besides pastas, there are seafood and steak, lamb, veal choices, great appetizers and desserts including in house made gelato. Full bar and sophisticated wine menu. Delectable aromas fill the dining room from open portion of kitchen. Our last visit included shrimp scampi, veal Marsala, salmon with crab stuffing, mussels in garlic angel hair & tortellini-all perfect. Wait staff is excellent and I am always going home happy and wanting to visit again soon. Very few dishes I’ve over the years in other places leave as wonderful an experience as those I’ve had at Nonna Rosa’s. Family atmosphere is fun and both Francesco and Tina make sure all is exceptional always.
I'd you want great service and wonderful food at a reasonable cost, Nonna Rosa's is the place for your. Seriously the best service in the biz.
Great dinner for Valentine’s Day. The food was delicious. The place was packed and the staff was really hustling. Our server, Josephine was efficient and gave great recommendations.
Nonna Rosa's is a very friendly, family-run place. The service is always good, as is the food. It is especially charming in the summer, when the outdoor patio is open. Highly recommended.
It was Valentines Day supper time so we were not made about wait even with our reservation, since the Hostess was really nice & seemed slight stressed but trying to not show her stress much.
All the food was Really Good and was brought to our table in normal amount of time. Except the clam chowder soup which was not the best but I have had worse clam chowder soup other places before. Plus the waitress could have brought drink refills more often, but have had worse service at different restaurant.
Both my husband & I Really enjoyed the FUNGHI RIPIENI (cheese & sausage stuffed mushrooms) good and Really cheesy!
Food was great, service was great, they were quite overbooked for valentines evening dinner so there was quite a wait even with reservations. They handled it well and was worth the wait!
My reservation was at 8 stood for an hour and 5 minutes before I got seated the service was great the food is awesome what's the standing for over an hour and 5 minutes is unacceptable
We have eaten there in the past and the food was Great. However for Valentines, we had Reservations for 7:45 p.m. and got there at 7:30. There was a long line so checked in and went to the bar area for a drink. Around 8:00 pm the hostess came back and asked if anyone from the 6:30 reservation group were left. Thinking we would not get in until 9:30 or later we left. Some of the people who were also waiting said they overbooked last year also and had to wait a very long time. The purpose of a reservation is the get in somewhere near your assigned time. They need to plan better.
We came for Valentines day, had a reservation at 6:30, but was not seated until 7:30. (very understandable as it is a smaller restaurant and a busy holiday) The only downside is the waiting area is very small, so people were packed close together. After being seated though, the service was fantastic and quick. All around the food was phenomenal from the salad to the dessert. We will back again, just not on such a busy occasion. :-)
First time here, came for Valentine's day. Was very busy as expected, but after we ate there, can see why. Smaller, cozy restaurant. Food was good, service was excellent, made for a great night.
Food was very good, as always. Service was outstanding considering it was Valentine’s Day and they had a full house. Parking was and always has been a problem which is the only reason we don’t dine there more often.
We were quite surprised to get to Nona Rosa's a bit earlier than our 5pm dinner reservation, and found that most of the seats were already taken, but Tina got us to our table promptly. We were a bit apprehensive that our food and drinks would be served quickly, given the amount of diners, but we were pleased that everything arrived very promptly, and that there was no rush of the part of the staff to move us along to get more people seated. Thanks again for your wonderful hospitality!

Great place for food and service in robbinsdale. Classic Italian restaurant with big portions done right
A bit hectic when we got in, waited a while for somebody to greet us at the door and sit us. But after that service was great and we both loved all of our dishes. Great selection, great food, great wine
Food was fantastic! Nice atmosphere.
A little Smokey and cold near the door but otherwise great!!
Loved the food and service was wonderful
LOVE the food at Nona Rosa’s. We have been regulars since they opened and have been treated like family. But, the service is extremely slow. Noticed this the last several times but this time was the worst. Glad they have grown into a very solid restaurant. But there is a need for more wait and kitchen staff.
We had a very pleasant evening. Food was excellent and service was timely and friendly. Thank you Nonna Rosa you do it well!
The food was very average. The service was good though.
2nd time. Much better than the first! Really enjoyed the experience.
Sauce was not very flavorful on the Shrimp Fra Diavolo and it wasn't spicy despite the description. On the other had, the cioppino was spicy but is just tasted like lots of cayenne pepper without other flavors. Caesar salad dressing was very bland. Lots of better choices for Italian in the twin cites. Give this one a pass.
The eggplant parmigiana was bland. It needed more salt and pepper
The food and service was amazing! Definitely a family feel. Finally good italian food.
Delicuous food, very nice waite staff!! Will definitely return!
This was a new years eve 2019 dinner at 5:45pm. We had reservations and were 15 minutes early and got seated in about 5 minutes. I'm not sure that I saw on their website that day the limited and special (price too) menu. I was able to get a pork tenderloin dinner that I usually order and why wife had shrimp scampi. The pork in my meal was a little thick in cuts but not a problem. The sampler appetizers were good accept for the caprese salad that had Kalamata olives with pits in them. My first bite into the salad had me chomping on an olive with pit. I'm lucky a crown didn't break. I mentioned it to the waitress and she said they were hand pitted by the vendor and they didn't check all of them. She also said there is a warning on the olive package about this possibility. No warning for the customer though. No smashing the olives with a fork before putting them in the salad. I had 3 pits in my salad. Hardly a rare occurrence. There wasn't much balsamic dressing either. The salad was the only failure. I spent $105 in total for two. I wouldn't expect any major flaws.
For a busy Christmas Eve dinner ....the waitstaff and kitchen handled it all well.
Great experience as usual! Lovely family owned restaurant!
Food was great and staff were friendly. The bread was flavorless and the texture felt stale. I had the chicken bruschetta and it was delicious! Chicken was moist and the flavor was great. They were short staffed so service was quite slow.
Really good traditional Italian food very busy place use reservation
Great food. Great waitress. A very enjoyable evening.
Food was amazing just such a sweet place will be back again
Perfect place if you want to share a nice meal with friends. Relaxing atmosphere where people can hear the conversation and enjoy the company. Wait staff was so nice and attentive and the food is wonderful.
This is a real treasure, very good food and get atmosphere.
