NOMO Kitchen Ratings and Reviews
The service was absolutely horrendous. The most inattentive waiter and dismissive manager. We were there for a birthday brunch. Our reservation was at 11AM when they were still serving breakfast and the service was so slow that by the time they made it to our table, they refused to serve us breakfast. Not even eggs. The waiter told us the chef was in a “bad mood” and he was too afraid to ask about continuing breakfast for us. It took 15 minutes to get coffees, bread and pastries on the table. It was overall a horrendous experience and would never go back.
Our servers name was Yonnie. He was very distracted and rude. He got a table of 16 and completely ignored his other tables, I’ve asked for coffee with milk and sugar he only brought coffee and no milk no sugar no spoon and walked away; before I’ve even opened my mouth. then I had to ask for another waiter to bring us utensils and ketchup for the burger. It took him at least 20 mins to bring a bottle of water and coffee. To order our food it took another 15 mins because he refused to come and take our order so a floor manager came to take our order. I used to come here often but I will no longer come nor recommend it. Just because we’re obligated to tip I hated giving him 20% in fact he didn’t even deserve 10%. Who sits down for lunch and has to hunt for a waiter to get what she needs every now and then. It was a miserable experience.
The food was pretty amazing and the restaurant itself is beautiful. Worth coming to just for that! We had the lemon ricotta pancakes - they were delicious; not too sweet and very zesty. Great for brunch and a very romantic date spot. Can't wait to try the patio in warmer weather.
Service is awful and terrible .
The server was so much late in attending to me ,it takes 30 minutes seat in even though we made a reservation , 45 minuets take my order.
You can’t imagine how slow.
and didn’t even provide the correct cutlery for the dish I ordered.
Beautiful place,but never go again.
I want to pay what i feel the service, I don’t know why some city restaurant includes tips without my opinion and feeling.
This is my second time here. The first time was for lunch, and this time it was for breakfast. I had the breakfast burrito, which was delicious, and my friend had the omelette, which she said was very tasty. Our only complaint as far as the food was concerned, was the fact that the coffee was barely warm. Honestly, I think they poured hot coffee into really cold cups. In terms of the service, our waiter was less than attentive, as we were left waiting for items several times, such as creamer, coffee refills, and the check. The ambience here is amazing, especially at Christmas time. Their decorations are beautiful. We definitely will be back.
While the food was good, there was nothing quite remarkable about either of our dishes. It was rather standard brunch fare. The service was considerably lacking; we had to ask and order drinks twice before they arrived at the table (after our food) and then ask again for steak knives to accompany our meal, which included an order of steak and eggs. The server was not particularly knowledgeable of food allergies or intolerances, and he was not otherwise attentive. The atmosphere, however, was lovely, fun and festive!
We ordered a cocktail with a choice of liquors and our server didn't ask which one we wanted. I ordered steak and eggs and the server didn't ask how I wanted my steak and I had to ask him for a medium rare steak as he was walking away from our table. When the food arrived, my girlfriend's lemon ricotta pancakes were quite nice, but the steak was stringy, and scramled eggs had been left out and seemed dried and crusty on outside, and our server didn't provide a steak knife. He also forgot the mac and cheese side we ordered and had to be reminded.
While the food was good, the inattentive service ruined this restaurant for us. It has all the right ingredients for a memorable dining experience - gorgeous setting, tight but tempting menu, and ultimately a strong kitchen - but unfortunately was memorable for all the wrong reasons.
After telling our server that we were in a rush for lunch, she made us wait 25-30 minutes each time to both place our orders AND pay. When we asked other servers to bring our bill and to remind our own server to come collect our payment, they said we'd just have to wait for our own server. This was especially frustrating when we saw her lounging around the bar chatting up a storm with her colleagues. When we asked her for the Wifi login as we sat down, she said she would bring it to us and instead just abandoned our table without checking in on us during our meal. Of course it's fine for a restaurant not to have a public Wifi login - in which case she should have just graciously said so instead of running away from us and avoiding us during our entire lunch. By Manhattan standards, this restaurant should not survive much longer with service like this and I would not recommend it to anyone with less than two hours to enjoy a glacially slow lunch.
Beautiful spot, previous experience was great, but this time we waited for an hour after ordering only to be told they ran out of one of our order, and another 30 min to get our actual food. Also asked for ketchup 4 times from 3 different servers only to never get any.
