Always great service and good dim sum. Jenny is wonderful. Look forward to them opening again soon.
This is the best Dim Sum in Philly. Hands down!!
Prompt seating and our waiter was nice. Food came out sporadically which is expected except some took much, much longer like the red bean paste buns. We also ordered a second, much smaller round of food and that was just amazingly slow to come out. We were given our check and then when the receipt from payment came out, it was a different amount on there. The food was good. The spicy wontons were not spicy but still good. Our waiter kept forgetting things after we asked and our one and only soda came to our table at the very end of the meal. We’d go back on a day where there’s nothing happening at the convention center so there’s a little more street parking.
Great service for a large party of 10 on a Friday evening. We were seated in their downstairs space which was perfect for our party.
We had a good meal, the food was pretty good for downtown Chinese. The dishes were interesting and the flavors were good. Service was OK and it’s a bit of a tight spot but not a bad choice
Best Dim Sum in Philly - fresh, hot, and amazing! Our go-to spot with the family. The hostess is wonderful and kind. We love going to Nom Wah!
The one in New York is amazing! This was a disappointment!
When a customer comes in the least you could do is acknowledge them. I understand that it was packed but if thats the case then you should manage your staff better. I waited 5 minutes before I was even acknowledged. The food was great though and service is usually better than what I experienced today.
Nam Wah is great. If you want really good DimSum this is the place. Actually bigger tables would be a good idea.
Nom Wah was absolutely delicious. Both their pan fried dumplings as well as their pork soup dumplings were the best I’ve ever had. We did not order a single thing we didn’t enjoy, although the General Tso’s tofo could be given a bit more time to marinate in the sauce to truly capture the flavor. Overall an absolutely incredible meal. Service wasn’t *fantastic*but was on par with what I’ve experienced in general in Chinatown and Philly in general, so it is nothing to complain about.
Delicious food and great selection of small plates that makes it easy to order a variety without spending a ton!
Dim sum all day and made to order. Everything came out hot and tasted fresh. Recommend.
Great food. We've eaten there twice and will not hesitate to go back.
Really great food! Exceeded my expectations. Did not realize it was BYOB ($5 corkage fee), they also carry a handful of wine and beers. They do have a cocktail list, but when I sat I was warned that cocktails take 20 minutes so I did not bother.
Very fresh and good
Great dinner service was fast and very friendly . You fill out a card with your choices , they were super nice when we added items and made sure we had everything we needed. The shrimp and pea pods was delicious and would return for the red bean paste steamed buns. Glad we had a reservation , Saturday 7:30 . There was a line but I saw they had our table reserved . Will go again .
The food was spectacular and the staff was attentive. Highly recommend.
Our first trip to Nom Way, but not our last. Met family from out of the city and luckily we had a reservation. Average table wait time on a weekend was 30 mins. The variety of dim sum was excellent. They prefer cash but will take credit in a pinch. Noise level was pretty loud but we had no issues carry on a lively conversation. Soup dumplings were very good as was the special soup and special bok choy veg of the day. Will be back. Wait staff was a bit stressed but given the type of establishment (lots of small orders), it was to be expected.
Good food - worth the drive into the city. Service was slow but it was extremely busy. Nice people. Will go again.
Great dim sum lunch
Always have a fantastic time here. Best dim sum in philly!
Love Nom Wah, and everyone who I bring loves it to! Excellent dim sum at a great price!!
Always reliable
Fabulous Dim Sum
Fabulous dim sum! Very clean restaurant.
We went to Nom Wah for Christmas Eve dinner, and it just might have been our finest Christmas Eve dinner in a decade or more!
Always great service and food is exactly as expected. We love Jenny!
Best dim sum in town. Fresh and yummy.
Excellent food and quick service.
arrived 20 minutes early
no one at the restaurant receiving or processing guests
30 people waiting in and outside not knowing if their reservation was going to be honored
if they’re going to run the place like this they shouldn’t take reservations
They took our large party with ease! We had 8 in our group which made it a little snug, but Nom Wah accommodated us with no issues. The food was excellent and the service was fast and professional. We will definitely be back next time we're in town for PAX Unplugged. Thank you!
We had an early reservation which was a great time to go before it got too busy. Dumplings were amazing! Every dish was better than the next. The only thing we did not like were the spare ribs, which weren’t exactly what you would expect. Can’t wait to g back and try more off the menu!
Food is consistently delicious and the service is excellent! New favorite dim sum place in Philly! Also, the teas are very special.
One of my favorite easy, low-key meals in the city. I come here often, and the service is always warm, friendly, and efficient. Food is delicious and priced fairly. The shrimp and shrimp and snow pea leaf dumplings are addictive. Great place to go solo or as a group and stuff yourself with delicious dumplings and surround yourself with the sweetest staff in town!
I was glad to discover Nom Wah, which serves very tasty dumplings!
Pretty good.
I took a group of students there to eat after a day of committee sessions for Model UN. For those who’d not had dim sum before it was a great intro. Good food and prices. If you’re not as adventurous and want to dip your toes in or like baby steps, it’s a good way to begin to experience dim sum.
Heard about your restaurant from the Business Casual podcast from the Morning Brew. So glad I did! Great food and experience.
We ordered a LOT of food and loved almost everything. Everything with shrimp was wonderful. Wanton Soup was fantastic. Dumplings were fantastic. Only think that wasn't "loved" was the sweet and sour chicken. It came slathered in sauce and we didn't love the sauce. For what it's worth, the chicken underneath the sauce was crispy on the outside and tender and juicy on the inside. Really loved our visit to Nom Wah.
Dim sum game - weak.
