We chose this place because of the high reviews it had on open table and yelp. The food was extremely salty and it was very loud. The hype was not worth it
Visited NOLA 4 years and loved it. This visit was very good
but menu fell short for us. Sommelier was helpful and recommended a nice wine!
We were unable to eat here. We arrived for our reservation and the restaurant was closed for plumbing issues. It would have been nice to know from someone in advance (open table or the restaurant) so we could have made arrangements to eat at another restaurant.
Loved the Cobia Bundles and the Pork Chop was amazing!
The food was great!!
Service was slow. Restaurant looked a little tired. The portions didn’t seem consistent. Our neighboring table order similar food and their portions seemed bigger and they also seemed to be served more quickly. It was a disappointment for a celebrity chef restaurant.
Miss the “old NOLA”. Walked into a neon, too casual, unprofessional atmosphere-so disappointing.
Gorgeous food. The oyster pie was so interesting! A flaky crust on top with a creamy sauce and packed with oysters. The frog legs were VERY spicy but balanced out with a creamy yogurt sauce. NOLA greens - get it if nothing else for "Bucky's" vinaegrette - a wonderful herby dressing on a light salad. We shared the gulf fish - an amazing dish - so balanced and well cooked. The dessert - turtle pie...incredibly rich and chocolaty. We only had a couple of bites because by that time, we were done! Service was outstanding.
We had reservations here and still had to wait about 20 minutes. We ordered cocktails that were tasty in the bar and people- watched, which was really fun. The waiter was not that friendly, but efficient. The food were very small portions, but full of flavor. Highly recommenced the mama's stuffed chicken wings! Overall a fun experience. Good to visit once. Don't think I'd go back to this restaurant again as I had plenty of other restaurant experiences that were more reasonably priced with bigger portions in NOLA.
We had been at this restaurant a year ago & learned it had since been redesigned. Instead of a refined, elegant place we walked into what now resembles an upscale sports bar. We were seated in a corner and were subsequently surrounded by two large pre-wedding parties. Noise became intense & service became very slow. Although the food was satisfactory we did not like the new “small plates” concept.
Bring back the former NOLA with the tablecloths!
