We chose this place because of the high reviews it had on open table and yelp. The food was extremely salty and it was very loud. The hype was not worth it

Service was slow. Restaurant looked a little tired. The portions didn’t seem consistent. Our neighboring table order similar food and their portions seemed bigger and they also seemed to be served more quickly. It was a disappointment for a celebrity chef restaurant.

Miss the “old NOLA”. Walked into a neon, too casual, unprofessional atmosphere-so disappointing.

Gorgeous food. The oyster pie was so interesting! A flaky crust on top with a creamy sauce and packed with oysters. The frog legs were VERY spicy but balanced out with a creamy yogurt sauce. NOLA greens - get it if nothing else for "Bucky's" vinaegrette - a wonderful herby dressing on a light salad. We shared the gulf fish - an amazing dish - so balanced and well cooked. The dessert - turtle pie...incredibly rich and chocolaty. We only had a couple of bites because by that time, we were done! Service was outstanding.

We had reservations here and still had to wait about 20 minutes. We ordered cocktails that were tasty in the bar and people- watched, which was really fun. The waiter was not that friendly, but efficient. The food were very small portions, but full of flavor. Highly recommenced the mama's stuffed chicken wings! Overall a fun experience. Good to visit once. Don't think I'd go back to this restaurant again as I had plenty of other restaurant experiences that were more reasonably priced with bigger portions in NOLA.

We had been at this restaurant a year ago & learned it had since been redesigned. Instead of a refined, elegant place we walked into what now resembles an upscale sports bar. We were seated in a corner and were subsequently surrounded by two large pre-wedding parties. Noise became intense & service became very slow. Although the food was satisfactory we did not like the new “small plates” concept.

Bring back the former NOLA with the tablecloths!

Slow service, entrees for the table arrived as staggered delivery instead of all of the same time. The food offerings tried too hard-overthought and over spiced, leaving the fresh fish/seafood unrecognizable.

Went here for a business dinner and the food was good! The crab cake was delicious and the Fried chicken is a must have!! The sweet potato puree that the fried chicken came on is just like the sweet potato casserole I make for the holidays.... scrumpdiddlyumptious!!! Desserts were good as well, notably the turtle pie and monkey ice cream cake. I would go back!

We shared several dishes (the Cowboy Caviar, Mirliton Salad, and the Fried Chicken) and each was absolutely delicious and unique. Cocktails were also excellent. The atmosphere was comfortable, but artwork and decor were a bit dated. The location is right in the heart of the French Quarter tourist district. I'd definitely go back and highly recommend NOLA for the incredible food and attentive service.

Underwhelming - The gumbo was fine but my wood plank fish was way over-sauced with butter and the service was poor for it not being very busy.

Eh, so-so. We went for dinner and were seated downstairs, where it was weirdly bright for a dinner place. Maybe it's better for lunch? Anyway the meal was fine but a little disappointing. Much better places to eat in New Orleans for similar prices.

This used to be a great place for a special dinner but it has changed quite a bit. None of the dishes were great- the foot long egg roll was doughy and slightly under cooked, the pork chop was over cooked and the special fish of the day- the drum was too heavily coated in bread crumbs so you could barely taste the fish. The service was good and nice wine list, but the actual food was disappointing.

What a disappointment and let down from a place that used to be phenomenal. First sign it changed was the emptiness in the restaurant and bar. Service was extremely slow and it seemed to be a burden for them to bring a wine list and explain the menu. Food came out warm to cold. Fish special was bland. They used to serve everyone at the exact same time, now it is one plate at a time with a five minute wait between first and last served. Went from planning three additional meals at an Emeril's places to none They need to fix this place because NOLA has too many other choices for great food

We were wowed. From the moment we were greeted at the door until we paid the check, we were so happy with our selection of place, time and food! Gregory was our main server and he is top of the line!! We cannot wait to go back.

Anyone who comes here who hasn't been here in a while needs to know there has been a change. No longer is this French quarter establishment, second of the Emeril empire, has gone back to it's unknown casual roots. While the food was unquestionably good, it's no white shirt and tie establishment that you might remember. While they tried hard, the service seemed overmatched and much more impersonal than I used to remember. While the remodel adds to the square footage of the bar, I was left thinking that I have to put this New Orleans favorite on the shelf for return visits for the time being.

Ambiance got a low score because it was SO noisy. Nothing to absorb sound at all (hard surfaces only). The service was lacklustre although the busperson was lovely. Waiter was somewhat disengaged. My husband's duck was AMAZING but my oyster pizza was really soggy and I could only eat the perimeter. Good and mediocre dishes and one entree so small as to be more of an appetizer made for a mixed experience. I think for such a famous name and location, they could certainly up their game a bit. I had noted there was a birthday with our reservation, but there was no indication they had read that. Not a big deal, but denotes a careless kind of attitude that seemed to pervade our evening. Meh.

Always enjoy the food at NOLA, just wasen't pleased with the two person seating arrangements. The tables for couples are way to close together. You are looking at the people next to you and hearing there every word and vice versa.

Food was as always great, the service was at best slow - waited 45 minutes for our dinner.Noise level was impossible, having been seated next to 6 screechy women and 2 men celebrating a birthday, impossible to have a conversation with each other. Remodelled restaurant is a disappointment , after several years of enjoying the old. Will maybe switch to Emeril's restaurant outside the Quarter.

Food was good but I ordered the bbq shrimp expecting a decent amount of food. When the plate arrived it had 3 shrimp and one slice of bread underneath. It definitely wasn’t worth $12. I have been to Nola’s twice before and loved everything but I was definitely disappointed this time.
