This is a good place for somebody looking for Thai food with absolutely no heat/spice in their meals because the heat/spice levels were extremely weak. They scale 1-5 but a 4 had no spice whatsoever - and this is coming from somebody who typically likes mild food! Thai food should definitely have a kick if somebody orders higher on the spice scale. The food took a while too and it was so hard to get water refills, the poor waitress was running around doing it all herself. The entrees were mediocre. The crispy garlic chicken was extremely sweet with no heat/spice and the drunken noodles were average, but a little more bland compared to last time we ordered them - still no heat/spice. Would have been delicious with a little kick! The best things here are the apps, the drinks, and the papaya salad.
We had a fabulous multi-course set meal (#2). Everything was excellent. Loved the basil margaritas!
Excellent food return when in Bend. Service needs work.
Excellent in all respects. The best dining experience we had in Bend. Highly recommend.
My favorite restaurant in Bend. Everything is fabulous! The setting is so comfortable and romantic if you wish to be. The service is impeccable. I love the Tom Kai chicken soup with brown rice to start. And at the end of the meal we tried a dessert for the table that was presented in a large bowl made of chocolate… Outstanding!
Great happy hour and dinner! We had garlic chicken, pad Thai and the crying tiger. Coconut rice was great!
First time at Noi and we were pleasantly surprised. Food and ambiance was wonderful! Superb flavors! Lovely decor. Great variety of foods to choose from, as well as beverages. Service was questionable. Server was a bit slow and didn't follow up very often. Day after we ate there, read the owners were going to jail for tax evasion and not listing all income. Not sure who is in charge now but, we hope they will continue with operating the restaurants (3 of them). Hope it stays open and the quality isn't affected!
As always, meals were precisely prepared, plated beautifully and served with pleasant and friendly efficiency.
We were seated and waited for 9 minutes beforr anyone acknowledged us. Usually someone will stop by and poor water or something but we sat somewhat alone in a corner. When our waiter finally arrived he argued with me about my order. I usually order Tom Yum soup as a main dish with a side of rice. I tried twice to order that soup and he interrupted me to say that it was too large an order and was designed for a party of three or four. While I can appreciate that he was trying to "coach me" on my order, I have been eating Thai since before he was born. I got tired of the argument and decided to order a Basil Fried rice. This dish was subpar at best, very salty with very little if any basil. When I ordered the dish our waiter gave me three or four choices for rice which I found odd for fried rice. This was a frustrating experience. The place was highly rated and I think it is rated so high due to its ambience, certainly not for the waiter with attitude. My guess is that there is little competition for Thai food in Bend.
They were very busy. Noise level quite high.we awaited an hour to be served.
Entrees very large ...next time we will split one.
Entrees were good except that the eggplant entree had more pork than eggplant
We will return with the above caveats.
Not on Friday night!
Service: The service was very good, but two of us ordered the same dish with different spice levels. When I tasted mine, I thought it was quite spicy and the other diner thought his was pretty mild. After a quick stir of each dish, we traded, and figured that a 2 was exactly the same as a 4. If you are spice sensitive, be sure to ask you wait staff what they recommend.
Food: In general, Thai food tends to run spicy except for dishes meant to be mild (e.g., Pad Thai). I do like enough spice to taste, but not so much it overwhelms. Among the 4 of us, the Spicy Basil Stir Fry was liked best, and my usual favorite, Bangkok Red Curry, was the least favorite (it lacked enough salt, oddly). Both were spicy and flavorful. Portion sizes are plenty for two moderately hungry people to share (IMO), but the waiters will graciously box up anything you want to take home.
Noise level: When we arrived early (5:30) it was very quiet, but as soon as a large group arrived, we could hardly hear our dining companions. The restaurant is divided into smaller sections by very thin sheets that are see-through, but do not really moderate the noise much. If you are hearing-impaired, you might want to arrive early or eat in the bar area, which can be loud, but not as difficult as the main room.
Brothers get together
Incredible food and service! Best Thai we have ever had!
Took some out-of-town friends to Noi for lunch, and it was excellent. One was vegetarian and there was plenty for him to choose from. They were impressed and said they'd recommend Noi to folks they know who many be coming to Bend. We eat at or order out from Noi frequently. Great food and classy restaurant, with top-tier service. We'll be back soon!
Great experience overall. Food was delicious.
Met a friend for lunch. We had the fried rice with salmon. Was very good and we enjoyed the atmosphere.
Great service, great food, a special treat.
Great food! Really good atmosphere
Super good service as well as some AMAZING food, got the Wontons for an appetizer and they were delicious!!
Great staff. Informative and consistent.
Service was slow. Twice we were told our meal was just coming out. Food was warm not hot. Even the tea was just warm. Two of us ordered garlic chicken which was beyond “crunchy” and meat was tough.
There were 4 in our party. It took a long time to get drinks. When I ordered, I told our server I wanted it hot and spicy and would she recommend a 4 or 5 spice level. She assured me I would not want more than a 3 as the Thai peppers are ripe and hot this time of year. I told her I thought I wanted a 4 but she INSISTED I go with a 3 and use the spice tray if I needed it hotter. I conceded. I had the Thai Basil Chicken. It took a long time to get our food. My husband requested a knife 3 times~~finally took one from another table. I asked for the spice tray immediately as the “3” so not near hot enough. Never got the tray until most of my chicken was gone. She NEVER asked how it was. Then she was in a big hurry to clear off the table and she grabbed my husbands jasmine rice which he was saving to take home with his garlic chicken. As she was grabbing it he said , “hey I wanted to take that with me”. She kept it and said”I will put a container of it with your chicken in the to go box. We got home and saw there was no jasmine rice. She was rude, arrogant and needs training or something. Dinner was $130. I tipped her $17 and should not have left her s penny. DO NOT GO TO NOI! There are 3 other Thai restaurants in town that are way better. Our friends had suggested NOI. NEVER GOING BACK.
Great atmosphere, I'm not a Thai food connoisseur, but I thought the selection on the menu was great and our food was delicious-spicy green beans, Pad Thai, and chicken with cashews.
Worst experience ever
Waitress seemed under the influence of something- didn’t show up and mixed up order and forgot everything
Manager came to apologize and offer gift card but we never got a gift card
Instead we were charged the FULL amount !! So rude !!! Will never go there again and will tell friends about it
It was awful and it was my daughters 17th birthday that they didn’t acknowledge
This was my first visit to Noi. The food choices are very creative, interesting and plentiful. Service staff was very busy and it was difficult to get the waiter's attention when needed.
Overall great experience! Food was delicious, waiter knowledgable, friendly and attentive.
Only negative-was sat in a table for 2 in a dark corner, not even a foot from neighboring table of 4. Table not large enough for plates, glasses etc Noise and neighboring conversation made intimate conversation impossible and ultimately a silent meal between husband and I.
Not what was desired or expected for 15th wedding anniversary date.
This will not prevent return! Others should not expect an intimate environment or dinner conversation unless you are willing to be louder than the surroundings.
It was a little noisy sitting at the booth near the kitchen it would be nice if you could do something about that, put a swinging door up or something maybe but other than that everything was wonderful!
Friendly staff and delicious food that is reasonably priced. Our out of town guests were delighted with our choice of where to go for dinner. Definitely one of the best restaurants in Bend.
We loved the service and the food. We were with a previous Executive Chef of his own restaurant in Tucson, Arizona all of us had a fantastic time with everyone that works there and their food was amazing.
The service was excellent and the food was very, very good. They seemed to be having some technical difficulty with seeing the Open Table reservations this night, but they seated us right away in spite of this!!
Went to Bend for a short getaway. Found Noi and stopped in for Happy Hour. Food was delicious and our server was great. We had the Pad Thai and I will say it is the best I have had. Not too sweet. I like Pad Thai and am always trying it everywhere we go. I usually find that they make it too sweet for me but it was amazing at Noi. Their Crispy Garlic Chicken was good too. I will definitely visit again when in the area.
Noi is pleasant. The fare is quite good. It does seem that perhaps there has been a change in ownership. New menus although many of the same courses.
Everything was delicious! We were seated promptly and had attentive service, although a bit slow not doubt due to busy Valentine's Day crowds.
We waited too long to visit Noi Thai. Great spot for a special occasion. Food and ambiance was over the top and the staff was wonderful. We will return again soon , with friends this time. Really a special place in Bend.
Food and service were excellent. Meals are a very good value. Restaurant is quiet with a nice atmosphere.
We had another wonderful experience at Noi. They have probably the most user-friendly menu I have ever seen. All of the appetizers and entrees are neatly divided different categories – curries, noodles, specialty dishes, etc. – with nice pictures of everything. The service was attentive and prompt. And we had only minor complaints about the food. My wife got the Cashew Chicken with fried tofu instead of the chicken. She enjoyed it a lot, but it seemed to have fewer cashews than usual. I got the Crying Tiger (flatiron steak) which was delicious and tender. It comes with sticky rice, but I would probably substitute a different kind of rice next time since they have several different varieties that are more interesting (coconut, ginger, etc.) I was a little surprised that the dipping sauce that accompanied the steak was served cold, which automatically made the steak seem cold as well. I asked the waiter if I could have the sauce warmed up and he promptly brought me some, which made the meal just perfect.
Great food. We had a large group and the staff was very accommodating.
Our party of five adults was promptly seated in a reserved booth which could have seated six. It was difficult however for the server to reach the guests at the far end of the booth.
The food was served hot and was consistently good. There needs to be more consistency in the spiciness of the dishes. The “hotness” of the papaya salad was far greater than the green curry, both of which were ordered at level 3 of five.
Great staff and food. We will return!
All three entrees were excellent. The service was good considering how busy it was.
