A great evening with good food, good service and lovely ambience.
Always a favourite. Never disappointed
Came for Valentine’s Day was hoping to have a nice meal. But most things on the menu were sold out. Leaving very few options. Very disappointed.
Risotto and duck pasta were not very good. The porter house steak was fantastic.
Cute italian restaurant w good wine. Had a good valentines dinner
My favourite restaurant in the city!!
Food was sub par, service was friendly but slow. Too many great Italian restaurants in the city of better value to repeat at Noce.
- Tiramisu that was described on the menu with lady fingers was essentially a very simple tiramisu cake. The cheesecake was more like a dried out biscuit base with lemon whipped cream on it.
- I ordered Salmon for main course and while the side salad and puree was ok, the salmon was very subpar.
- Staff were not responding to our requests whether it was for a different table or when I asked her not to take the my cocktail glass as I was still drinking it. The table they said was booked, stayed empty for the whole time we spent there/ 2 hours.
Food was delicious, ambiance is casual yet classy. Service excellent. Food value good, just 1 star off for the $7 bottle of flat water. Good place for a date. Will be returning.
Food and service was excellent. Would definitely recommend this place!
Winterlicious 2020 was a mediocre experience.
The stewed octopus appetizer was overcooked and overpowered by the tomato sauce and 'Nduja.
The porcini tagliatelle has so much potential but was underwhelming. I’ve had much better in other restaurants.
My friend’s beef tenderloin scallopini tasted sadly like meatloaf.
For dessert I had the Nutella tiramisu, which was palatable.
Overall, I am disappointed in the Winterlicious menu and I likely won’t be back. It is not worth $53.
The only positive aspects are the lovely ambience and nice staff.
Winterlicious menu was delicious and waitress was lovely
My friend and I dined here during the snowstorm on Saturday January 18 at 6:45, and we were looking forward to catching up over great food. The food and atmosphere was overall excellent, but our server was not the best and it put a bit of a damper on our experience. He rushed us with our orders as soon as we sat down, not even giving us a moment to settle and enjoy a bit of drink and chat, even when we said we were not ready yet. I understand they had a large party coming in, but that should not mean our experience should be rushed in any way. I did not feel welcomed or wanted in the way that he handled our table. For this reason, I am unsure whether I would go back again or not.
I also was unaware that "still water" meant paying $4 for water (and brought out a second bottle once the one was done, without letting us know it was another cost), so make sure to ask for tap water if you just want free still water.
It was a solid dining experience. I wish our waitress could have recommended a few more wines or had more insight and offered more of an opinion. The drink list was a little slanted to the dry and sour. The wine selection was decent but lacked a variety of choices. The carne cruda was outstanding as was the pizza. Great overall experience.
My wife and I have been coming here for over 20 years. It's never disappointed us. It changed quite a bit 6-8 years ago, but the new format and menu are still of great quality. Really miss the osso bucco though. That was a thing if beauty on so many levels.
Last Saturday, my family and I went for Diner to celebrate my birthday.
The waitress was welcoming and very attentive and delightful.
Food was excellent but size of the menu was too small.
Great place!
Food is amazing. Great italian food starts with great ingredients and simple spices. Top notch. Have to get the Fiorentina. Wine list needs help though.
Borderline 5 stars. Food and service was truly excellent. One pasta dish was a touch salty for me but still very, very good. Loved the seasonal ingredients. 100% would go back again. Highly recommend trying out this restaurant if you haven’t been.
The food at Noce was amazing, especially the fungi pizza! Their cocktails are great too. Unfortunately, all of us at the table found the service to be arrogant and dismissive.
I have been to this restaurant before and liked it. But our last experience was so bad it was funny. The waiter was grumpy, which made the entire evening awkward. A few orders were wrong, but we didn’t want to say anything. The food was ok but it’s a well located restaurant, across from Bellwoods Park.
Food was honestly not that great. It tasted average and nothing special or amazing. It also took extremely long to come out. The restaurant looks nice and cozy but overall the experience was definitely nothing special.
We have had the steak here before and it was fabulous, but we stuck to pasta and pizza this time, and it was pretty blah
This experience was a mess from start to finish. I had booked reservations for a group of 6 for 8:30 PM and we were only seated at 8:50, after having to flag someone down to let them know we had been waiting at the front for 20 minutes without anyone acknowledging us. We were then seated without any menus, which we asked for on three separate occasions before we were finally brought them (this was after the THIRD server had come to take our order and realized we didn't have any menus). While taking our order, the server was acting really strange. He literally drop kicked the pen he was writing with out the open back door, in the middle of taking our order. We found that to be really unprofessional and also why are you littering, it's 2019?? He also seemed to not like the fact that we were not ordering starters, as he made a face each time we said no when he asked us. Maybe that's why we never saw him again and a new server took over? The food then took forever to come out, which of course was cold by then. We had ordered a pizza which was not cut for us into slices. When we asked one of the servers if they could cut it for us, he offered us a steak knife and said we could cut it ourselves. No-one checked on us during dinner and after we said no to dessert they literally disappeared for so long. Not to mention, when I made the reservations I had said it was for a birthday and once again, nothing was acknowledged. We had to flag someone down to bring us our bill, which was divvied up wrong and had to be sent back (another wait). And then after the correct bills were distributed, no-one came back with a machine. We had to wait again until we finally asked one of the chefs to find a server who could bring a machine. By far one of the worst dining experiences I've ever had. It's funny because the food was actually not too bad; however, the service just ruined the entire thing. I will not be returning back here and will be sure to tell others not to waste their time.
The wine and apps were delicious. Great service and amazing atmosphere. The branzino was bland and needed more seasoning. Peach cobbler was a treat. Will definitely come back!
Our server told us only the items from the menu that were vegetarian while the server next to our table was flexible and was suggesting dishes that were not in the menu. Our server also suggested wrong ingredients on items that we ordered on his suggestion.
I have been to this restaurant before and it has always been good with a lot of vegetarian options. This time, this server was horrible. Also, they didn’t acknowledge our notes on the reservation of birthday and being vegetarian. We had to tell them that we are vegetarian
Both times I’ve been here, I’ve had to wait at least 45 minutes until we were served water... it was ridiculously slow, and I was considering leave.
It’s too bad, the ambiance of the restaurant is beautiful, and the food is great.... it’s the service that ruined the experience.
Service was extremely slow, we had to ask multiple times for someone come to the table.
Not a good experience. They did not know how to manage the gift card we had and had initially implied that the issue was ours. After a prolonged period of time, it was straightened out and apologies issued. As regards the food, it was mediocre compared to the last 2 visits we had there over a span of two years. Overall, not a very pleasant experience.
Wine glasses smelled dirty. Bar tender couldn’t figure out how to make a basic drink. Olives were good. Bread Tasted stale and remained on the plate… In my opinion that dinner was not worth $50 let alone $110.
Everything was great except for the pastas. Portions were small and taste wasn’t great. I would have expected more because everything else was so delicious.
I would go back though. Cute place.
While the food tasted good, there was not nearly enough of it. I went for summerlicious and the portion sizing left me very hungry after, and I am not a big eater. To make a decent sized portion, it should have been double. What we got was a tasting menu. The service was also incredibly slow.
We visited on a Sunday and were given a 50% off wine list that is only for Wednesday. We asked the waiter and then he told us the actual prices were twice as much, but never explained why we were given that wine list in the first place and acted like it was a routine thing for him.
We ordered from both regular and Summerlicious menu but the overall quality of the food was mediocre at best. The yellow fin tuna was soggy. The grilled seafood was overcooked tasteless. I would not recommend to try the Summerlicious menu at all because the food was awful.
This is our third visit and it was disappointing.
Phenomenal. In every way. Period.
I booked Noce for summerlicious 2019. The place is very cozy with a modern & contemporary finish. Our experience was average due to limited menu options . While I enjoyed my all 3 course meals [cornish hen and pistachio dessert were just remarkable :)], the other 2 girls with me were heavily disappointed. Both of them preferred vegetarian meals, and the menu did not offer any good selections for vegan/vegetarian people. On top of it, the appetizer they received was basically a watermelon , cold puree soup, called zuppa (Huge disappointment - lacked taste, very minimal). For mains they could only choose from plain spaghetti w olive oil and tomatoes or a Pizza (which we thought would be okay), but we saw the dish served to other customers, and all tables seemed to dislike the fact that pizza had this long, long beans (which looked like serpents) basically spread on the pizza. It was straight No. Very off-putting. Spaghetti was also very bland and had no taste.
Drinks - They did not had 1 out of 4 drinks on summerlicious menu, so again, limiting the choice.
I want to write the review because I want to share the experience of everyone under my reservation. I felt bad because they did not like it at all (except the dessert), and it was not worth for the $33 a meal .
I would recommend the chefs to take a look at current menu and revise it, to cater to wider audience.
The servers were helpful and responsive. I would go back if I see more options on menu !
It was great; loved the food as always.. never disappoints!
Arrived at 8:00 pm with reservation, waited until 8:35 to be seated. No one asked if we want a glass of water or something else in the meantime. The appetizer came fairly soon, but then our patience was put to test, the wait time was about 45 minutes for the main course. Total chaos in respect to service. The food was nothing to write home about. Will never go back.
Amazing food and service. Looking forward to going again soon!
Way too noisy. We couldn’t talk to each other without yelling.
The best pizza I've had in the city along with lots of other tasty bites
Excellent food and attention to detail
