As always, the food was delicious. We always enjoy the food, service, and surroundings here at Nobuo.
This is our favorite Japanese restaurant in Phoenix.
Had memorable experience. My wife was very happy with the pick.
The Hamachi with grapefruit dish was delicious. Duck salad memorable. Good selection of saki. Next time I'll try the pre-fix options. An elevated non traditional sushi experience with a local focus on food sourcing.
Outstanding food and staff. Easily the best sushi experience in AZ.
We've been waiting to try this place, and Restaurant Week allowed us to try it. the food was outstanding, the service impeccable. Everything you would expect!
Went for Restaurant Week. Such a deal. Food was phenomenal. Server was friendly and helpful. Adorable setting. It was an experience. I will go back again and again.
One of the best meals you will find in Phoenix hands down. Thoughtful, local, amazing food. A glimpse into Japan and nothing typical about it. Open your mind and go.
We did Nobou at Teeter House last night for Restaurant Week and the food itself was overall incredible; however after it was all said and done, the bill was $150 for 2 of us...which started at the $44/person and we did not drink alcohol...we added a small amuse bouche and two ice teas. So, for the price....I’m not sure. The service left much to be desired considering it’s a “fine dining” restaurant with a James Beard chef. Waitresses were in casual attire... like sneakers. Our waitress walked up to the table and basically was like “here’s the menu, do you want seafood or meat and what dessert do you want?”...well, I’d like an explanation of what I’m potentially ordering first of all. What is in the meat vs. seafood Bento box? What’s your recommended dessert? Do you have any non alcoholic beverages?...when the food came, the explanation of what each part consisted of was pretty basic—not sure if she maybe just didn’t know the menu well? The courses were also quite rushed...we were in and out in slightly over an hour for a three course menu...she was pushing us for sure. But overall, it was pretty delicious and unique. We’ll come back for lunch perhaps.
Bright dishes really amazing fresh flavorful cuisine !
Tried this gem for Restaurant Week and it was outstanding. It is in one of the small historical houses in Heritage Square. We were there early and it was hot inside the house. That is the only semi negative thing I have to say. They later opened the windows, which helped.
Our server was knowledgable and helpful. She recommended we add the himachi app. It was fantastic and made us wish we had gotten a few other extras. The veggie/antipasto starter was delicious. We shared a fish and meat Bento, and both thought the meat was slightly better. The Pork Bao was perfect and so yummy! And we shared the two dessert, which also did not disappoint. Really wish we lived closer but I highly recommend giving it a try. We will definitely be back!
went there for restaurant week. Excellent select menu.
Excellent value for Restaurant Week. I never thought a Bento Box could be special. It was!
All the dishes were well prepared and presented. As we were there early the service started out a little fast paced. Our server was very friendly and informative.
The only negative comment is that the fois gras course was either extremely small for the price or the price was extremely high for the amount.
Excellent Mother's Day Brunch. Greeted upon arrival and right on time with our table. We had the Japanese breakfast and it was delicious. Every item tasted fresh and was prepared just the way my wife and I like it. The Mackerel was excellent. Service as always was outstanding. Thanks Chef Nubuo for a great meal.
Everything was wonderful! Thank you.
My mom, aunt and I always go here on Mother’s Day weekend. We have favorites but also like to try something new. It is consistently delicious! The small rooms ensure that the ambience is intimate and quiet. The service is friendly and very attentive.
Food was disappointing because one person is gluten free and a simple way to accommodate would have been changing soy sauce base to tamari and chef that day refused- food would have otherwise been amazing
Amazing food beautifully prepared. Attentive and helpful service. Lovely house setting
Wow. Amazing food and presentation. Not your typical Japanese but they don’t try to be. Great service. It is not cheap.
Great as always!
Special food prepared by an amazing chef. Perfectly balanced explosions of flavor and artful use of textures.
Excellent meal. Sophisticated Japanese food with great presentation
This place always rocks!!! Best food in Phoenix
This place was amazing on all fronts. It’s quaint setting is perfect for a small get together with friends or for a date. The food was out of this world and the service could not have been better. Overall, a must try spot! It is a little pricey if you order a lot of food but nothing abnormal for this quality of food and experience. I loved that it was upscale in every way but still a casual dress code. I would recommend this place to anyone
This was hands down one of the best restaurants I have visited in Phoenix. It’s a little pricey but worth it!
It was a trip worth taking. The food was amazing, the service was knowledgeable and kind. I had waited weeks to dine here and don't regret it for a moment. I can definitely attest to their James Beard Award and Best restaurant in Phoenix!!!
Another fantastic meal! Nobuo has become a favorite in Phoenix.
Second visit and well worth the price. Very unique and creative small dishes perfect for sharing.
One of the best in Phoenix...
We took an out-of-town guest who is also a food critic (not to critic Nobu at Teeter House). She was very impressed with the presentation and the creative combinations. We shared the Grapefruit & Hamachi, Shiromi Carpaccio and the Tako and Tomato. There were three of us so we asked that the order be placed on three spoons instead of four.
On the other menu we shared the Warm Duck Salad, the Soft Shell Crab Salad and the Pork Belly Wrapped in Banana Leaf. Nothing but spectacular.
I highly recommend the sparking sake and the regular sake from Arizona Sake.
I had the pork belly sliders and they did not disappoint. I dined by myself but wish others would have been with me so I could have tried everything on the menu!
Delicious dishes prepared with upmost care. Try Grapefruit & Hamachi and Saikyo Yaki.
Great Service too.
11 am lunch before museum hopping. No wait, prompt and pleasant service, well prepared and beautifully presented food. The building is intriguing.
We went on a date night for two. The food and drinks were *mostly* really good. A few of the dishes really fell flat in comparison to the others. It was a great date experience, very intimate.
For the price, however, I feel like we have had better quality meals and drinks as a whole and we didn't order that much food. For a couple of drinks each and dinner it was about $230. We were hungry shortly after we left.
Took my wife here for her birthday with a few friends and had an absolutely amazing experience. Not sure why it took us so long to get here, but will definitely be back. Great food, cocktails, and service. Top notch.
Chef Nobuo has been amazing me with his culinary creations and wine pairing mastery for decades. First time trying his current location and I was not disappointed. The food was outstanding and the service was impeccable. Chef even came over to the table and shaved raw Wasabi root on a shark skin grater. It was so good. If you want to impress someone in the Phoenix area or you are celebrating a special occasion, this place is perfect for it!
Do not miss out on his wine pairings. He is a master at it!
The best meal we’ve had in Phoenix
Dinner was very inventive and delicious. Service was attentive and the ambiance conducive to a relaxing meal. A perfect evening!
Fantastic! Every Element was Flawless! Chef Chris was attentive as was our learned Server David! These 2 Chefs were IMPRESSED! We can’t say enough good things about the Food!!!🤩🤩🤩 We will be back👍🏻
I very much enjoyed my meal here. The food was outstanding and creative Japanese cuisine. I had the tasting menu and enjoyed all of it, but I especially recommend the sashimi and the black cod. The waitstaff was very helpful, especially with drink recommendations. Highly recommended!
