Nobu did not disappoint. Superior food and service. We had a great experience here!
Very nice food as usual👍
Super fresh sushi! Gluten free accommodation was excellent!
Kitchen Service was unusually slow, waiter was very good, not his fault. Excellent sushi as always!!
Well prepared seafood options, attractively presented. Our server provided spot-on recommendations. Prices were a bit on the high side overall vs. local competition.
food was absolutely delicious, servers were extraordinarily friendly and attentive, but the water was $9
Great location and excellent service! Sushi was impeccable!
Great food really good service. Try the miso Black Cod. Exceptional
First time dining at Nobu San Diego and the food was outstanding! Small portion sizes with rich flavors and handcrafted comfort cocktails really won us over. The pricing is very high for the amount of food served but the flavors leave you satisfied and overall I'd recommend this for a special occasion or for the die-hard foodie.
Very pricey, but outstanding sushi. Our waitress was extremely friendly. The busboy was a little too quick to pick up our plates when we weren't quite finished.
Service was great but the food was salty.
DO not order the $150 OMAKASE. All Sushi and Sashimi is great. All the cooked dish is not good at all.
The menu on open table is not correct & we were very disappointed to find out the happy hour menu is not even valid. Otherwise dinner was good & we had a good time.
It just wasn’t that good
Everytime I have to go to a convention in San Diego I take a meal at Nobu. Be ready to spend some cash but its so well worth it if you love amazing food.
I've been back twice... Each time I have the opportunity to take clients to Nobu, they rave, especially if it's a first time visit. Warm, inviting atmosphere... Wait staff and team are always sharp, informed and understand the value of suggestions without being pushy. Food quality and presentation is superb. We'll be back!
Delicious food and wonderful drinks.
I was there twice over the weekend, and happen to be waited by the same waiter, he was friendly and nice. I am more disappointed by the management. First night experience was great and food was good. In fact, I liked the sea bass with blockbesn sauce so much and we ordered two of them. On my return trip, we ordered another one as our end course. After a very long wait, one staff dropped our sea bass to a table next to us and later bought a different entree and tried to tell me that was what I’ve ordered... . While a nice couple next to us also realized they also received an entree in error and the one the staff trying to push on us really should be theirs. The waiter dropped that to them and left with a terrified face. Another 15 minutes gone by, our waiter returned to apologize and agreed to get our right order in. We waited another 40 minutes for it, which is fine since we weren’t in a hurry. What I didn’t appreciate is that the manager felt that he had to do something for us, so he send another dish at end of our meal (which was far away from what we been enjoying the whole night) and clearly it was another mistake from the kitchen. We spent nearly $400 there that night on sashimi and such, what make the management think that I would want to end my meal with overly fried shrimp that was under the heat lamp for a very long time is beyond me!
I politely paid the whole bill along with generous tip and will most likely not return to Nobu again.
The food was amazing the salmon tataki with miso was delicious! The black cod is a must it’s their signature dish and it’s so good. The service was great and the ambiance was nice.
Delicious but confusing menu. Not your typical sushi restaurant.
food and sake were awesome, atmosphere was great, servers were excellent
Fantastic! We loved everything we tried. The black cod miso is a must!!
Had an amazing experience there - it came highly recommended from a friend and it did not disappoint! Our waiter (Matthew) was phenomenal - provided a great selection of dishes and we had a great experience. Will definitely go back.
The flavors of the food were amazing! This review pertains to the overall vibe of the restaurant, prepare to send big $ on over priced appetizer sized meals, talking over the music and loud conversations, and being so close to the table next to you it’s awkward if you DONT talk to them.
Not a $200 value at all. Maybe $75-80. Service was just not there. Food was mediocre at best. Nothing like Nobu in Vegas.
We got this restaurant recommended and left it disappointed. The food is great Japanese stuff but not outstanding in any way if you know Asian cuisine. It was very noisy and we were surrounded by business people who wanted to impress their clients. The prices are high and the value that we got were eating from usual cheap one-time-use Bamboo chopsticks and our bowls for the starter soup were plastic...really? For a high price I expect a high standard. The quality of the fish was very good but that should be a given thing for their prices, right? Their staff is really friendly and they did their very best.
We had a great dinner but we sat at Sushi Bar- the servers hovered over us EVERY minute. Taking plates before done, glasses before done. It was like they were trying to have quick turnover so they get more tips or something. It didnt work and have never been bugged like that before. We will eat at a table next time for sure and we hope they leave us be and let us eat at our leisure not theirs.
My husband and I really enjoyed our first visit to Nobu. The food was really tasty and creative and the ambiance was great.
Very nosie and Table was small for the dishes. Food was good, but would not do a special date there as it is difficult to talk.
Great service, black cod amazing
Great food. Not as great of a deal anymore. They got rid of the happy hour menu. Wouldn’t recommend for business meetings. Too expensive!
For the Nobu name expectations are high. The food was just ok.
Amazing food choices and unique creations. Thoroughly enjoyable meal and we were well taken care of. Attentive, helpful and enthusiastic service. Really enjoyed our meal.
Sorry but I just didn't think the food was very special. Only one out or our many dishes was stellar. The sushi nigiri was just average. There are a lot of sushi places with better quality sushi than here - especially for the price. It was very expensive and I would have happily paid that price for a stellar meal but I didn't feel that the quality of the food matched the price. It was a very nice looking restaurant with lounge type seating but also very loud.
I loved it!
Food and service was on piont Left there very happy.
