Great food & exceptional service.
It was our 50th Anniversary and we wanted an exquisite dinner and chose Nobu to celebrate and reminisce over our time together. The multi-course tasting menu was delicious and each course was a work of art. The service was impeccable. It was truly a treasured evening.
Superb service, the food is out of these world.
Thanks for making my evening so special.
The ambiance is lacking. It is not inviting. Our assistant server was outstanding.
Please act like an upscale restaurant - and do not interrupt diners in midst of conversations.
San Diego tasting menu was superb. Each course was beautifully done and delicious! Most impressed by how well the kitchen and servers perfectly timed each course.
very nice food and very attentive service. The tempura shrimps are defenitely a must have.
Had such an awesome experience at Nobu San Diego! Everything was just as good as I remembered Nobu57 in NYC to be. I was especially happy with our very nice table and the attentive service! Will be back. Thanks again!!
Overall did not meet expectations actually provided feedback through this app almost 2 weeks ago and never heard back from the restaurant shocking goes right along with our service
Amazing dining experience! We love this place and can't wait to come back!
Went here for the first time and it was amazing! My boyfriend and I loved the food and drinks. The waiters were very attentive and the service was quick. Will definitely be coming back
Been here before several times while in town. This last time was the most disappointing dinner I have had at any Nobu restaurant, and we have been to 5 others in the last 2 years. The menus need to be replaced desperately, they delaminated around the edges. The servers seemed new and and did not take the time to go over the menu once they found out that we had been there before, my wife and I were taking another couple out to celebrate a birthday. The blue fin toro left much to be desired, it had a paste like texture to it, not the delicate texture with a satisfying crispness that I have had at several locations in the past. My wagyu beef flambé was over cooked and was very tough in comparison to A5 that I have had at other Nobu locations and in Japan as well. Not sure if this is a one off or if maybe they are just starting to let things go downhill as a chain and costing on brand awareness vs quality. In the past my wife and I have always defaulted to Nobu locations for dinner while on trips if there were any available, now will have to take other restaurants into serious consideration before choosing Nobu again. I believe that my guest should leave amazed after I spend over 700 for dinner and none of my guest drank alcohol, I was the only one who had any and it was a bit of Sake. Maybe if we had drank enough liquor, the impression of quality would have been there.
This was the fifth time we have been to a Nobu Restaurant (San Diego and Las Vegas). Once again, we were not disappointed. The service was outstanding, very attentive yet not intrusive. The wait staff was knowledgeable, courteous, and professional. The food was nothing short of amazing, very delicious and exceptionally well prepared. The ambiance allows for a casual meal before a ball game or a more formal celebration of a significant event.
Pricey but well worth the money!
Too noisy for my husband, typically so we unfortunately don't go as often as I would like.
Great service and amazing food. The location was great for food after a Padres game.
Good service, food, and ambiance. Location and cleanliness up to Nobu standard.
Excellent VEGAN options!! We let the Server design our experience. It was awesome!
The food was good, but not worth the $$$$. We ordered 6-7 dishes and nothing was outstanding. The scallops were good because they filled us up more than the other dishes. The service was very good, but would never go back. Glad I was able to try it only once.
Ottimo cibo e servizio, ma rumorosissimo!
Nobu was amazing! The food, the service and the ambiance was incredible. The Nobu experience gave us a chance to sit back and relax while enjoying delicious food prepared by the Chef.
It was wonderful food and service
First timer, good food and drinks, very friendly service.
Food was great. Ambience was nice, the small birthday surprise dish for my wife was unexpected. Only negative was it took a long time for our waiter to take our order. From being sat down, took an hour to finally have our entree orders placed.
We always treasure our time sitting at sushi bar with Marcus. He knows what we want and always remembers no matter the passage of time. We enjoy sushi ota but prefer nobu.
It was an evening of great fun with great food. Our waiter knew the products (rare) and was there to assist but not an annoyance. A real opportunity to enjoy good food with good service.
The food and service are spectacular. Marcus is an amazing chef. He is very knowledgeable and SO amazing when it comes to being creative and working around allergens.
My daughter and I both have dietary restrictions and our waiter was spectacular !!
Nobu is the BEST.. but not the one in San Diego. It was FINE. But usually NOBU is amazing
Freshest sushi in town!
Okay gotta start with this, I am not a fan of sushi. If on business and dining on my own I would never go to a sushi restaurant. But my wife is so I thought I would go where she would enjoy herself. And she did, thought it was wonderful. But here it comes. Yeah it’s San Diego and the Gas Lamp area. WAY OVERPRICED! $36 for a single 6oz piece of fish? Yeah it was tasty, but come on, bring me some ‘chips’. Add one beer, some kind of slimy fish slices, 6 other pieces of bait and a salad with 5 bbq’d medium shrimp for $150+!! And still look for a JB’s burger after leaving. Please. If it’s about being seen and part of the millennial crowd, well now I’ve done that.
Excellent service and the most amazing food! Had a great time celebrating my mother’s birthday
Amazing!!! Amakase is worth it
Service was a bit rushed as we booked for 9pm and the kitchen was nearly closing (being California!). We were in and out in just over an hour which seems quick for a a
Food was to expensive for the quality
Celebrated my thirtieth birthday with my husband here. It was my second time being back to this location and it did not disappoint! Bummer is they don’t give free desserts for Birthdays.
One word: Amazing
The food is awesome
Everything else is terrible
