Meet and great was fantastic
Waitress knowledgeable of food items
Speed of service is awesome
Overall it’s a place to dine in whenever visiting NYC
The food and service at Nobu is always excellent. A great selection of the freshest fish you can find probably anywhere in the city. The price is about 10$ per piece of sashimi which may seem high, but the quality is unmatched. There was a special otoro sushi which was wrapped in diakon and placed over some crispy rice noodles. The tuna melted in the mouth, was tender, juicy and savory, like a piece of high quality iberico ham from Spain. Great sushi, you will pay for the quality, but won't be disappointed.
Culinary Excellence. Loved the new location
We were very pleased with the quality of the dishes - creative, well-balanced and very tasty. We put in a second order of two of the starter dishes (they were that good), and almost put in another repeat order.
Servers were very knowledgeable about food, drinks, history, and presented what they offer in the context of Japanese and Peruvian food traditions.
We informed them only towards the end of dinner that we were actually celebrating a wedding anniversary and the staff handled it very professionally and thoughtfully, turning out a surprise platter of desserts and message.
The music Level was turned up much too high in the latter half of the evening. We enjoy the lounge vibe but it felt like the volume was much too high for conversation in the dining area.
Years of listening to Howard Stern convinced me to give Nobu a shot. I was in NYC taking my fiancee to see Wicked & was lucky to book a table just after the show. It was well beyond expectations: Our server was awesome, the spicy edamame was the best I've ever had & the scene was cool, chic & had all types of looks. My date loved the grilled octopus & spicy tuna, I thoroughly enjoyed the Chicken Teriyaki with Wasabi Pepper Sauce. I was told that Nobu is a little pricey, I was pleasantly surprised as it was very reasonable & no more than the upscale restaurants in Philly. In fact, bring one to Philly now!!
food and service was amazing
Food and service were superb! The atmosphere is lovely and the food is divine ~ fresh and fabulous!!!
A bit difficult to enter with the locked doors on Broadway and Dey Street; better signage needed.
Exceptional dining experience. Worth the expense, worth every minute. Knowledgeable staff, exceptional service, exceptional quality and a truly outstanding meal.
Birthday and very nice staff
Nobu downtown was ok. The meals were prepared in really small portions. We waited 45 minutes after our reservation time to get seated. I'm disappointed.
Amazing! Black cod is the best!
We came on Wednesday for a special birthday . We are from London and eat in Nobu there .
The welcome at the bar was terrible . The bar man was very rude and made cocktails very quickly, spilling them in the process . The quality of the drinks was very bad . No ice or decoration. We were told we were not able to sit a table as they were all reserved.
The service in the restaurant was much better. The ambience was better . The foods was good but I would say over priced .
Sadly I would not recommend anyone to go to Nobu DOWNTOWN .

Excellent food, unique space, would definitely recommend. Packed on Wednesday night. Waiters were excellent but not warm.
We went for an anniversary lunch and had a great corner table. Our waiter Casey was attentive without being pushy. We ordered the rock tempura shrimp to start and while yummy, was certainly not worth the $30 price tag. We got the spicy tuna and king crab rolls and both were delicious and very fresh. We also got the tempura udon which was very bland and only had two pieces of shrimp, so that was a little disappointing. Would go back, but only for sushi.
Have always loved Nobu's food...but they rushed us...we had to order extra wine just to make sure we weren't out of there in slight more than an hour.
All good as usual, excellent food and an excellent venue with great Ambiance.Only problem is that I hate arriving at a restaurant only to find that my table isn’t ready until 15 minutes after the booking. I imagine they would not wait so long for me if I was that late. Good restaurants need to make all elements top quality and having to wait for a reserved table is not good enough.
The server was very chaotic and maybe a better fit for a TGI Friday than a high end restaurant. He was loud, talking very fast as to not let us make our decision and was obviously trying to sell us to take the most expensive dishes on the menu.
It totally ruined the experience
The rest of the service from other staff was great
After our server deligiently explained the menu for us first timers, the food we ordered was exceptional. It accommodates everyones wants and we thoroughly enjoyed everything. The rock crab tempura and the teriyaki steak was the best I’ve ever eaten. Would 100% recommend and will be visiting our local Nobu in London
Always love this place. Beyond fresh sushi and creative entrees. Service very accommodating. Will come back as much as I can
Our fist time at Nobu! Excellent service and delicious food!! Tuna and scallops are amazing!
Very attentive service and quiet enough to enjoy a normal conversation. The server was very knowledgeable and brought forward some good recommendations.
Took my mother to dinner to try something new and she loved it.
New digs with the same WOW and wonderful date
The food and presentation are enough to make you swoon. Delicious. Beautiful.
Food was outstanding as always!
First of all nobu has great food and a wonderful atmosphere. Service and everything was fantastic! However, why people are paying $27 for 6 tater tot sized crispy rice pieces and $25 for a small lamb chop has me so confused! The food is good but if you want to leave here full make sure you bring a good $300. There are too many places that serve this type of food for less and taste just as good. I still love Koi AND Tao more than this place. I think people come for the name. Good to try once, probably won’t go back.
Food was great. However, I think they forgot part of our order as we had to ask about it, 30 minutes or longer into the meal and saw the chefs scrambling to make it. First world problem, but we're also paying premium though so I think it's a fair criticism. Other than that, the food is definitely 5 star and the dessert was amazing.
The new Nobu location is better than the original- decor, service and scene is all top notch. The value has definitely gotten worse; lunch dishes all hover around $40, excluding tax, tip and any drinks, and you will spend upwards of $100/pp at dinner, excluding drinks etc. The sushi is better than neighborhood fast casual spots, but definitely not as good as Sushi of Gari or Azabu. However, now that ISE is closed, this is really one of the best spots for sushi/fusion in the Financial District, as long as cost isn't a consideration.
Everything here is off the hook! the seabass with jalapeno salsa and the black cod miso are a must!
We went for my daughters 16th birthday. Everything was perfect from the service to the food. We felt spoiled and enjoyed every minute of it!
Food still good but felt touristy. They made give a card to reserve and still called and bothered me several times to confirm the reservation. The last time they told me that I could only have the table for so long. Tacky.
Nice atmosphere. Too many stairs but good exercise after all that fabulous food. Great service also.
I loved everything from the minute I walked in to the minute I walked out. Best restaurant in lower Manhattan
The best sushi and service in the city....
Better than advertised. Our experience was something you would think we are getting paid to write about. First and foremost, our waiter Andrew was fantastic. He had he knowledge he should have in regards to the menu, but his personality was the perfect fit for us. Why even look at the menu when everything he recommended we went with? The dishes are portioned correctly and the flavor is phenomenal. We will be back.
It was amazing, always love going there
The food was excellent. We tried the tasting menu and were treated to the restaurant’s signature dishes. Our waiter was helpful and attentive. It was a splurge, but fun and worth it. This newer setting downtown is even more memorable and attractive than what I remember of the old location.
Wow. Again, so surprised that it is still this good.
Best sushi I have ever had! Can't wait to go back!
The sushi quality was disappointing. I have been to Nobu in midtown years ago and thought the sushi was terrific. I expected the same from the downtown location. Not so. The sushi tasted fishy, not fresh.
On the plus side, the deserts were delicious. Sad though about the fish. Expected better quality.
