Nobu Las Vegas - Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Ratings and Reviews
This was so terribly disappointing. I know it is not THE Nobu but I was hoping it would be a close approximation of the famous New York restaurant. Well if this is, then hard pass.
To be fair, the Shisito peppers and the Miso black cod was good.
But the sushi was terrible...and expensive...and terrible. The yellowtail was not fresh, had a very odd texture, and an old fish flavor. The albacore was clearly a bad cut with sinew and tasted last ke canned tuna. Perhaps it is simply the location does not get any traffic therefore the fish sits around and rather than throw it away, they use it.
Do NOT waste your money as this place is expensive and not worth it. Maybe the Caesar’s location is better as they get more traffic. Still bummed at how disappointing this was.
Why are the waiters mostly men. The temperature in the restaurant was too hot. They brought our food one after another I felt like they wanted us out of there quick, therefore they kept asking to pick up appetizers that were not finished to open room for the main dishes. I know it’s Nubo but really the pricing a bit high. Dot get me wrong the food is good but!!!!
Amazing meal - the Alaskan Black cod and Wagyu Ribeye were to die for. I have gluten and dairy allergies and everything the chef prepared was enjoyed by the the other seven people and I could eat it all!!! The only problem was the music was so loud and it was hard to talk business....
We had a Reservation to 8pm and arrived 8:07pm when they asked us to wait at the bar until 8:34pm. Other people(“executives”) arrived later and entered first. That’s not ok. The noise level was absurd, we couldn’t hear the waitress sometimes, but her service were great. About the Food, took more minutes then expected to arrive, but was good(not remarkable).
Sat at the sushi bar and asked Chef to help us out. Proceeded with 2 incredible sashimi offerings and 2 exquisite rolls. The cocktails were thoughtful, unique and delicious. The wine list was relatively reasonable and wound up getting a bottle of a Pinot that was offered by bottle at a very accessible price. Service was amazingly friendly and attentive and each server seemed to have bought in to Chef Nobu's vision. Overall a bit of a splurge for my PA, but so worth it!!
Caveat, I like an active, busy, loud restaurant with a great vibe. Being in the Hard Rock is a big negative for Nobu. Been going to Nobu's for years. Used to love Nobu in the Hard Rock. It appears everyone now goes to Nobu at Caesar's now. It's time to shut down Nobu Hard Rock. Maybe put one in Aria, Bellagio, or Wynn. The restaurant was quiet and super empty. It used to be always active and a hip hot spot. Now it's just a quiet empty restaurant. The food and service is still awesome, but if you want a vibe, you better go to Nobu Caesar's or Nobu Malibu or Nobu 57.
I booked a TravelZoo - for a $280 value it was $149 + alcohol and Tip (another $80)... I've been to Nobu before and thought this would be a nice dinner. This was a scam from the start - signature dishes were not included, the seats were right on top of each other, and the bottom line the food wasn't even good. I wont be back.
I bought a deal on Travelzoo for Nobu because we were staying at the Hard Rock Hotel where the restaurant is. I was so happy I did. Everything was amazing. The food was the best we had all weekend. We both ordered the same cocktail and enjoyed it completely. It is very typical of high end restaurants that you get small portions, but the taste of everything was amazing! Service was also the best!
I was underwhelmed with the food, I expected more considering the price I paid for it. We had a six course sampler dinner that started off with small bite sized fried potato french fried shaped slices with Mayo infused Cilantro on the side. That was totally unexpected for me and expected it to taste delicious only to find out that that it wasn't and that it's ordinary. The second course can't be any worse which it wasn't but it tasted like any yellow tail sashimi from any ayce buffet around las vegas. The third course was delicious with three choices of Nigiri and the fourth was Miso infused cod that was a little too sweet but not bad. The dessert was a macha ice cream with some Chocolate cake filled ganache and a few berries on the side. My predictions came true as I told my wife that we will be visiting IN/Out burgers afterwards. the place wasn't all bad however since the wait staff were extra attentive. I supposed that's what we're paying for though.
Good food, a little pricey. They ask you for a price point and then build a menu based around this but do then immediately encourage you to increase your stated price per person preference. Good space but behind us there was a family with drama and yelling going on for about 30 minutes and nobody intervened or tried to calm the situation, and unfortunately it did dramatically affect the overall ambiance and experience. Great service!
My sister and I were in Vegas for a concert and made reservations here for our first night. It was incredible. We choose the omakase style where you tell them you food preferences and price range and they build courses to fit. We have 6 courses for $125 per person. It was completely worth every penny!
Some of the courses I remember:
Spicy tuna on a waffle potato chip
Salmon in a chili and sesame oil with chives
Firecracker shrimp-like dish
Yellowtail sashimi with citrus soy sauce and cilantro
Waygu beef tenderloin
We have dined here before. This time we noticed that the restaurant was not as busy as it normally is...now we know why. We started with an order of Edemame and and order of Shishito peppers, both were very salty. We also got Miso soup which came to the table lukewarm. Usually the food at the Hard Rock location is very good but this time the sashimi & sushi rolls taste were very basic and lacked creativity like regular sushi from basic sushi restaurants. We were very dissapointed in the quality and taste of the fish/food and feel that is no longer worth going to.
Though the food is tasty, this is not the Nobu I know of from Honolulu to Crystal Cruise as the loud music really doesn't provide the atmosphere for more itimate conversation. This restaurant is more for younger crowd if you like rock music blasting all over.
