The music over lapping from Sports Bar above mixed with your anemic music nearly ruined a perfect painting setting is beyond me. You went to all this beautiful work as to view , taste, etc. and ruin it with inappropriate music in that beautiful setting.
Do you not know beautiful Hawaiian Music which is part of why some of us come here—- the auditory combined with visual and taste.
We ordered the omikase menu to celebrate but the service order was so mixed up it spoiled what could have been a tasty meal.
Bathrooms were a total disaster and dangerous with broken glass and spilled wine on the floor. See pictures below.
Resort manager failed to offer anything other than “a better experience next time we visited “ - like we’re likely to return to Lanai to try it again!
Really good food but service was not as good as i thought it should be. Also before we were finished they started cleaning up and breaking down restaurant for the evening, putting away cushions from couches and other items, seemed wrong to do when guests were still eating.
Great Nobu on par with Las Vegas Ceasars palace. Recommend the tasting menu to fully appreciate the menu.
World class Restraunt in world class resort! Great lychee martini. Great wagyu beef on tasting menu. Outstanding service. Probably one of the best Restraunt's in all the four seasons on par with George V in Paris which as excellent.
Wife had fantastic vegetarian tasting menu also and an incredible shaved ice for desert Nobu style!! Our server was Stephanie who used to work in the Dubai Nobu. She was excellent and really made the dining experience over the top. She had a fantastic knowledge of the menu and drinks which really helped.
Our first Nobu experience and we were NOT disappointed! My wife and I shared 4 choices from the tasting menu and that included a piece of the best fish (baked cod) we ever put in our mouth. (This is saying something as we live in Florida, and eat lots of seafood)! I ordered the beef shortribs with some trepidation as I have never been happy with the apparent preference of Hawaiians to have as much (or more) fat as opposed to meat in this preparation. Wow! Were we glad we got talked iton ordering this by our server. We live and travel extensively in the U.S. SE & our somewhat of BBQ 'snobs'. I'd put Nobu's take on the beef shortrib up against ANY BBQ I've ever dined on. The smoke in the meat was perfect. It did not overwhelm but permeated every bite of the exquisitely tender but firm meat. What an experience!!Well woerth the approx. 10 mi. Drive to the Four Seasons from Lanai City where we were located!
Wonderful overall dining experience. Locally-sourced ingredients expertly prepared & presented. Each course offered elightfully varied and often exotic creations which titillated our taste buds. Local fish was an emphasis, but Kobe beef was also featured. Service was professional but warm & instructive. We dined @ Nobu on three of the five nights of our stay & look forward to future visits!
My husband and I came here on our last night of our honeymoon while staying at the Four Seasons. This is by far the worst service that I have experienced in a while- and it totally ruined our experience.
Once seated, it took 15 minutes for them to even hand us a menu or to provide us with water. The staff was slow and totally inattentive throughout our whole time there. Multiple people blankly walked past our table on many occasions when we clearly had empty plates or water glasses, or were in need of assistance. We were never introduced to our server, and when asked at the end of our meal who our server was, the manager stumbled over his words and finally said that it was him, as it was a "busy night" and our server was "busy tending to others." As a result, he comped us drinks and dessert, as he was aware of how poor the service truly was.
Being from NYC, I have dined at many restaurants in the past- and at a place as high end as this with such a well known name, this in my opinion is completely unacceptable. There is no excuse for service like this- and being "busy" certainly shouldn't be an excuse. They should staff appropriately. People are paying a lot of money to dine here.
In addition, the food did not impress me at all. I have definitely had way better sushi at a much more reasonable price.
It is unfortunate that they will continue to receive business, being one of the only "nice" restaurants on the island and one of the few restaurants in the hotel.
We ended up eating here 3 nights in a row, food & cocktails were great, atmosphere very relaxing with a beautiful view. The family style small plates was perfect to try different dishes and not get over stuffed. The teriyaki sauce that they had as a special with venison one night was amazing, and although they didn't have venison another night they were able to serve the same sauce with beef short rib and we were not disappointed. Soft shell crab sushi roll was a favorite. For dessert I would recommend the whisky foam cappuccino, or skip dessert and have the white chocolate cocktail with espresso ice cube.
Spectacular venue overlooking the bay at the Four Seasons Lana'i, but it's all part of the overall wonderfulness that is Nobu. The Lana'i team misses nothing in terms of fulfilling the Nobu vision of fantastic quality, local sourcing and friendly, helpful and informed service. We couldn't stay away and ate here three of the four nights we stayed at this gorgeous property. From the bar staff, reception and wait team, terrific and nicely attentive service. From the kitchen, amazing foods - the lobster tempura is a standout! Domo arigato!
