As the first uptown New York location for legendary chef Nobu Matsuhisa, we opened with much anticipation in the summer of 2005.Nobu's co-owners are his longtime partners: renowned restaurateur Drew Nieporent, Oscar-winning actor Robert De Niro, and Hollywood film producer Meir Teper. The restaurant showcases Nobu's signature new style Japanese cuisine with classic dishes such as Tiradito Nobu Style and Black Cod Miso. The restaurant received three stars from the New York Times.

Indulge in iconic dishes like Black Cod Miso and Soft Shell Crab Amazu, followed by Koji-aged Japanese Mirai Beef, and end on a sweet note with our signature Whisky Cappuccino.     First time having a bad experience at Nobu. There was no air conditioning on and the whole restaurant was warm. The service was terrible. It took close to an hour to get our food. We were seated all the way in an outer corner of the restaurant so no ambience at all except for watching someone's small child running up and down the walkway the whole time.

    The food is great. Really feels like they try to turn the tables too quickly. Also, high end restaurant shouldn’t have the servers coming to the table w the white credit card device - it’s not classy.
