As the first uptown New York location for legendary chef Nobu Matsuhisa, we opened with much anticipation in the summer of 2005.Nobu's co-owners are his longtime partners: renowned restaurateur Drew Nieporent, Oscar-winning actor Robert De Niro, and Hollywood film producer Meir Teper. The restaurant showcases Nobu's signature new style Japanese cuisine with classic dishes such as Tiradito Nobu Style and Black Cod Miso. The restaurant received three stars from the New York Times.

    Our waiter made excellent recommendations and paced our courses perfectly. The salmon appetizer melted in our mouth. The black cod hot dish was unbelievable

    Had the Omakase again. It wasn’t as good as the last couple of times but still is excellent. The reason for giving only four stars is that it just wasn’t up to par. Overall, though it was a very nice dinner. also, the elevator is broken and I had to go ahead and use the stairs, which is very difficult for me as I use a cane and have a very bad leg.
