As the first uptown New York location for legendary chef Nobu Matsuhisa, we opened with much anticipation in the summer of 2005.Nobu's co-owners are his longtime partners: renowned restaurateur Drew Nieporent, Oscar-winning actor Robert De Niro, and Hollywood film producer Meir Teper. The restaurant showcases Nobu's signature new style Japanese cuisine with classic dishes such as Tiradito Nobu Style and Black Cod Miso. The restaurant received three stars from the New York Times.

    The food is good, but if you’re young they will be slow and dismissive. I’ve been here probably 20+ times and I’ve had slow service a couple times, even had to ask for specials and flag them over to order or ask for something.

    Nobu is one of the best, most consistent restaurants in the world. Just keep it simple and get the classics: yellowtail sashimi with jalapeño, miso black cod and any of your favorite sashimi or sushi rolls. Awesome!

    It was my partner and I anniversary. We had a wonderful experience at this location. Everything was amazing and our waitress Kesura (I know I butchered her name) was absolutely incredible! She even gave us a small treat in honor of our anniversary. We will be visiting again!

    Never a dull moment at Nobu! We dined on a selection of nigiri, toro and king crab tacos, salad, and hot dishes. All the food came out promptly and was delicious — efficient service as always. I appreciate that Nobu maintains its staples across different locations, creating a sense of familiarity no matter where you are! Diana took great care of us and was pleasant and personable throughout our dining experience!
