Nobu Fifty Seven
Designed by David Rockwell, Nobu Fifty Seven evokes fluidity and the imagery of an Asian river with curves and details of abalone shell chandeliers, sliced bamboo stalks in terrazzo tiles, scorched ash tables and Japanese quilt fabric. Sake barrels imported from Japan tower over the first floor bar counter as diners make way to the upstairs dining room. Burnished woods, rich hues and soft lighting create an ambiance of elegance and refinement.

Overall it was okay. The food was fine. The hostess and Serving team were great. The restaurant noise level was so high that we could not even have a conversation. It was obnoxiously loud like a stadium. Not a fun time.
Good meal, extremely busy place, they get you and out.
The sushi was outstanding as always, tried a few specials and they tasted great!
Too noisy, too loud, too crowded, wait staff literally pushed against your chair to get by. Very small portions. Nice, attentive wait staff. Excellent food.
I have eaten sushi for a long time. The crowd is fun, service was great but food was average for the price. I enjoyed a hole in the wall more than Nobu, food wise. Still a nice place with great service.
All in all great restaurant. 2 people can easily run into the $300+ range with drinks and desert. Seared tuna belly is amazing. Order it.
We had higher expectations, we’ve been in NOBU Las Vegas and Mexico and is beyond better, the food was good but not as good for the price you pay. Everything was ok but maybe we were expecting more. The best was the short rib, jalapeño salsa.
Food overrated. Too expensive for what you get. Would try it for lunch. Staff Enthusiasm/courtesy not commensurate with the cost.
My date and I had an incredible time, delicious cocktails and great tasting menu.
Disappointed. While the mini tacos and Toro sushi was quite good, the other sushi was we had was nothing special. Did not meet the high standards you expect from a Nobu restaurant and certainly not at this price point.
Great place with nice brunch prefix. Perfect service. Food was delicious!!
Nobu was definitely worth the hype - We had a reservation and still had to wait a few minutes but nothing terrible. For a date night type of vibe I would definitely suggest requesting that you sit upstairs.
Table of really loud young teens ruined the evening for the whole room
Overall it was just over priced. We ate at Yakitori Totto and had an incredible meal for 2 totaling $150. In contrast we had a very good meal at Nobu, but not any better, (actually sub par in comparison) and yet we spent $400. For a meal nearly 3x the cost, it should have been extraordinary like El Bulli, Veritas or Alinea.
Food was good but hard to enjoy. We ordered a ton of food to try and it all was coming out too quickly. Still eating one course and another would come out. Ruined the meal. Slow down the service until one course is finished. Would not go back, too nany restaurants on ny to try. We went for lunch at 1:30 on a Saturday. Desserts were outstanding. Sushi was good. Waygu i have had better other places but if you haven't had it before and have nothing to compare to, yes its good. Other places i have had it way better.
The omakase is extraordinary---inventive, delicious and definitely enough food. Attentive and friendly staff. I would suggest that restaurant itself needs some updating---feels a bit drab and lighting is not dark or light enough.
I have been going to NOBU for as far back as I can remember. Last 2 times was in DC & 57th Street. Food was subpar and while in the past I would go once a month, now i will stop going.
Disappointed and it’s not a real Japanese restaurant.
The food and service are outstanding.
Perfect New Year’s Eve dinner
Food was coming out too quickly
Still having soup and salads when everting was brought out at once
The food was very good. Service was good and the place was packed.
Expensive, but good sushi, Toro and Waygu beef.
Brilliant, great service, great food. Was pleased to be introduced to a new variant of the black cod, exclusive to NY according to the waiter. Great recommendation and an overall great experience
Fantastic food. Some items are overpriced but overall the food is of very high quality. The wine was overpriced and the one I had was not particularly good, but it could be just that particular one. The sake was very nice. The service was too attentive I would say. We had a server watch over our table almost continuously and take away our plates the instant the chopsticks were placed on the table. That was a bit too much for me. For the amount of money you pay in this restaurant, you expect to be able to enjoy your food and the breaks between dishes too.
Birthday dinner was awesome!
Always a great experience with fantastic food and service.
Amazing food and drinks. Our waiter recommended some great dishes. We was not obtrusive or pushy and responded quickly to our requests. Great meal, can't wait to go back!
Heerlijk eten, maar toen de serveerster maar $20,- fooi kreeg, liep ze boos weg en heeft ze geen woord meer gezegd Belachelijk!!
Wonderful experience!! Loved the black cod and the crispy rice and tuna tartare!!
Not that great
Not a perfect night. Little problem with the food.
Excellent food and service. Nobu 57 is always consistent.
Incredible service!! Delicious food. Our waiter was EXCELLENT!
Our waiter Rudy was phenomenal. He took his time to understand what flavors we were craving & recommended things tailored to our personal taste. My family & I ordered quite a decent amount of food and ate almost everything. Even after eating all that food, we didn't feel full or bloated whatsoever. For a family of 4, we thought the pricing wasn't too bad, especially with all that we got including the alcohol we ordered. Definitely will come here again. It's an amazing treat!
Food and drinks consistently excellent - service at the bar and waitstaff in the restaurant is wonderful. Front desk staff always seems put out by having to deal with you but once you pass the desk all is lovely.
