Nobu Fifty Seven
Designed by David Rockwell, Nobu Fifty Seven evokes fluidity and the imagery of an Asian river with curves and details of abalone shell chandeliers, sliced bamboo stalks in terrazzo tiles, scorched ash tables and Japanese quilt fabric. Sake barrels imported from Japan tower over the first floor bar counter as diners make way to the upstairs dining room. Burnished woods, rich hues and soft lighting create an ambiance of elegance and refinement.

We love Nobu 57, it is a must go whenever we are in New York!
We loved our server, his knowledge and recommendations.
Cool spot. very 'scene' but the sushi was not on par with other 'great' sushi restaurants I've been to (Sugarfish, Katsuya, etc.) Plus our server was completely disinterested in us which could be an NYC thing and not specific to Nobu. Overall a 3 and not 5 star experience.
The food was great as usual. The service was not. We had to ask 3 times to get a waiter and get a drink ordered. We had to initiate each interaction. I’ve been to several Nobus and this one before and it was the worst service I’ve had.
First time at Nobu, and I wasn’t disappointed. Phenomenal food. Excellent service. We will absolutely be back.
Outstanding service and a terrific outstanding dining experience!!!!!
Drie jaar geleden voor het laatst hier gegeten maar menukaart leek nu wel hogere wiskunde, een studie op zich!! Met astronomische prijzen!!!
Excellent food. Great service. Very cool atmosphere. Can’t go wrong with Nobu. Has tickets for Broadway show that night and they made sure to take that into account. Got us our food quickly so we could make it on time but didn’t make us feel rushed. Highly recommend.
Daughters 21st Birthday !
Absolutely amazing, exceeded our expectations!!!
I went there with my mom for her birthday, we took some champagne and the first menu. The champagne was not good and the menu was really average, we had some sashimi, an avocado salad, a green salad, some other stuff and we finished with sushis... not good at all! I’ve been in a couple of Nobu (Paris, Washington, budapest...) and the menu was very good in each place. In NYC we didn’t even have the desert in the menu. The waitress asked us if we were ok to eat scallops, tuna, crab and raw meet but we never had anything like that, so why did she ask us??? I will not come back in this Nobu again, it’s the worst one.
Thanks. Great food
Excellent food though the ambiance at nobu downtown is preferable to me. The server seemed a bit disgruntled at times though the service itself was excellent. Can’t stress how good the food is.
Furniture is unique and the atmosphere is great, but seafood toban yaki was too salty to eat.
My husband and I have gone to Nobu Fifty Seven on a few occasions. This time our experience was much worse. Our table right by the kitchen was very noisy and service left much to be desired. We waited over 20 mins for our first drink order to be taken and then waited for a very long time for each course to arrive. Food was good but not great - some things excellent like Black Cod but some just so so like Poke Tuna bowl or lobster tacos, both of which were too sour where salsa, lime and vinegar killed the mild taste of lobster and tuna. Definitely not worth the money. Looking back, over $500 we spent on dinner (we did try many dishes!) could have definitely fed more than 2 people in another great restaurant. And we had peanuts when we went home as we were still hungry. I don't think we are going back.
It was my birthday and they made it extra special. Great food great service. Everything we hoped for
Out of town birthday
Been to Nobu 57 a number of times and I continue to think it is a weak link in the chain of Nobu restaurants. Nothing is bad but nothing is particularly great either (food or service), and it never seems to have the specials that some of the others have. It almost feels touristy to me and good for those who haven't experienced Nobu before, but I was reminded again why I always leave 57 unsatisfied and with a much lighter wallet.
The ambiance was great
Great food and service, quite noisy though.
Same quality as in noun Los Angeles
Definitely much much better than bony in Dallas
Went on a date with my girlfriend to celebrate. Service was lousy. Had to wait 15 minutes with hand raised. Several items were soled out so had to compromise. When food and drinks arrived orders were wrong. Payed 300Usd. Better spent somewhere else. Nobu is a no go!
Not really since there are so many other options. The service was ok but the food wasn’t as good as expected. The sitting quarters were really tight, dated, and noisy. Definitely was not what we were expected.
Nobu 57 was absolutely fantastic I hosted my family and it was their first time there they trusted me ordering all of the food and we’re not disappointed with any dish this is a fantastic place to go I’ve been to Nobu all around the world and this did not in anyway disappoint great job!
To be fair I have never been to a Nobu before so I had really high hopes - I really liked the rock shrimp and scallop and cod - but the mixed platter sushi was very basic and overpriced. I think overall it's a little bit overpriced.
As always, Nobu did not disappoint. If you haven’t done it before, I encourage you to give your favorites a break and let the chef design a menu for you. It’s honestly the best way to get introduced to things you wouldn’t otherwise try. I’ve done it a few times and haven’t been disappointed. The drinks and food are always top notch. I highly recommend!!!
Excellent food and service. The Wagyu tacos were simply amazing. Very good sake recommendations from the waiter.
This was one of the best food experiences I ever had with my family. We tried Chef's tasting menu (Omakase) and complemented with other dishes not on the Omakase.
It was a mind blowing experience as usually the case is with Nobu..
Simply well done..
Good was great. Toro and Wuago are expensive, but you get what you pay for. Miso, tacos and sashimi all fine.
Best food I have ever had. Definitely recommend the dumplings and the prawn spinach salad.
The service was very very slow. It took a long time
For our food to come out.
Exceptional wine pairing with pasta tasting! Unforgettable!
Overall food was mediocre and sushi was terrible. Overpriced and not worth the value
Daughter’s pregnancy and friend’s birthday
Amazing food. A bit pricy, but definitely worth it. The waitress was super nice!
This was truly a marvelous dining experience! The food was absolutely superb and our server was incredible, he went above and beyond to ensure we had a fresh experience w
It's always a fantastic experience at this restaurant. The food is extraordinary and the service impeccable.
We were anxious to have the black cod again and it tasted exactly as me and my wife remembered! The starters were very tasty and the scallops with butternut squash were also delicious! Saporo beer for me anda lichee saque for my wife made our experience complete!! Would definitely come back!!
