It was okay but no where as good as usual. The miso cod which is usually my fav dish was barely flavored and we had to ask for additional sauce on the side. I brought my parents after raving about this dish and then was embarrassed to have called it my fav dish. The last time we came it was amazing but this time okay. Wish the quality had been as good as last time.
We stopped in for lunch prior to seeing Wicked that evening. Everything was great. This was our first time in an upscale sushi restaurant. Our server was great in recommending options based on what we liked. Sake was phenomenal. I do wish they were open all afternoon so we could have eaten closer to our 7 pm showtime. Also, when they informed us that the kitchen was closed we weren’t told this included desserts. Our server was able to get us some amazing sorbet though. We will be back!
Excellent menu selections and wait staff did a great job
Service was amazing! Food was wonderful as always.
Food was not hot. Orders confused and items sold out but not conveyed until they delivered wrong item.
Great food and service. The propotions were of good size, and the staff was very attentive !! Sushi to die for !!
Everything was great ! They even brought us a anniversary dessert, without asking for it at the restaurant. We had a great time.
It was our 40th anniversary dinner and it was everything I hoped it would be. We sat outside and were dressed for the weather and felt very comfortable. Everything we ordered was delicious and the service was incredible. Thank you
The DJ in the afternoon kills the mood.
The food was top notch but the service and ambience were both terrible. We had high expectations and we’re incredibly underwhelmed.
Vibe was nice, rolls were decently priced (about $10-$15 for 6 pieces), and the guy filling our water was on top of it! Waiter was short and seemed annoyed when we needed to look over the menu before ordering. The salmon/avocado, yellowtail/scallion, and eel rolls were amazing! Would go again, but only for the rolls - drinks very overpriced and entree items are insane.
Very good quality sashimi, though highly expensive. Service was very cordial, though I rate it only a 3 because we had to ask for the rice which was supposed to accompany our meal. For the price, I would have expected that that would not have happened. Dessert repertoire is disappointingly American. I would have liked to see offerings of classic Japanese sweets.
Ambience upstairs is a little dark...it could be a little cheerier up there, which would have been nice.
Other than the hostess girls that made us walk around the roped entry when nobody was in line then letting other people bypass the rope when we finally walked around the rope and when asked, they said its the rules… wasn’t the best way to start our experience. The food and drinks were outstanding. The hostess girls can learn a little bit about hospitality.
Nobu has fallen mightily since it’s days at 105 Hudson street. What used to be quality service and sushi at a premium price has devolved into mass produced choices (think tuna roll), barely there service, more suitable for a midwesterner on vacation rather than an experienced or curious epicurean. The massive venue feels like a TGI Fridays meets PF changs. When asked about an omakase menu the waiter seemed unaware of one existing or even what it was. The sushi and sashimi ordered were good, but an appetizer and the main sushi entrees were served simultaneously overwhelming the small table we were seated at. Such a shame of how far this restaurant has fallen while I’m sure enriching the owners. There are FAR better options in NYC for quality sushi that will leave you feeling like you’ve spent your money well. Look elsewhere. I’ll remember your past fondly, but seek new options in the future.
Good order was unfortunately placed incorrectly by server.
Great food but too noisy for a conversation.
Omikase was disappointing compared to previous experience. Some dishes were great (scallops!) but others were just ok. Steak was very tough.
Had higher expectations. The dishes lacked nuance and balance.
I will say the food is great. Definitely. But the price a bit ridiculous….
Everything was excellent as always!
I prefer Nobu 57 as I really find the service much nicer here!
The fish did not feel fresh at all! But the server was so great.
Great dinner! Don’t miss the black cod or spicy crab roll. Perfection.
We sat outdoors and unfortunately were scheduled for the late seating. There’s absolutely no onions outdoors and our waitress was highly busy elsewhere. We received very in attentive service with 35 minutes between her first and second courses. We love the tuna with caviar dish and the crispy rice and tuna dish but the chefs sushi selection was extremely Quotidien. We ordered dessert one that the waitress encouraged us to order and 15 minutes later she told us they had no more of that dish. I would tell everyone to insist on eating indoors if they want a true Nobu experience and never ever book the late seating
Totally delicious experience though VERY EXPENSIVE.
Our dinner was the best, as was our server who made great suggestions. It’s hard to say what our favorites were because everything was fabulous. If I had to choose 2 favorites, I would pick the rock shrimp and the crispy rice cake with tuna which was so different. For dessert we shared the doughnuts which was a perfect end to a delicious meal. We definitely will return.
Excellent food, service and ambiance. Would highly recommend.
I always call out the wonderful food at Nobu. But this time I want to call out the front of house who were so excellent in accommodating my request for a special table and from the moment I checked in downstairs all the way through to the end of the meal the waiting staff were utterly phenomenal.
Nobu really is a place to visit not just for the food but the ambiance and the excellence and care of the staff.
One and all.
One of the best meals of my life!! Absolutely OUTSTANDING!
I love Nobu and I always bring friends and family. The service for the first time unfortunately left much to be desired
Food and service excellent. Noise was so loud that it was impossible to carry on a conversation. Would not go back.
Meeting with my Daughter
The food is always very good. The drinks are expensive and the pours are poor. That’s my main issue. For what you pay, they should give you more. A vodka is 23 dollars with not much to drink.
Otherwise I would recommend this restaurant. Be prepared to spend a lot of money for dinner.
Great, as usual and John our waiter was fantastic!
Excellent service and very fresh sushi.
We were thrilled with the wonderful staff. Everyone was efficient, helpful, and pleasant. We have been going to one Nobu or another for over 22 years and have memories of so many wonderful meals.
Last night if NYC vacation. Perfect in every way. Our server led us through the menu. Did not over order. Super experience
