As the first uptown New York location for legendary chef Nobu Matsuhisa, we opened with much anticipation in the summer of 2005.Nobu's co-owners are his longtime partners: renowned restaurateur Drew Nieporent, Oscar-winning actor Robert De Niro, and Hollywood film producer Meir Teper. The only complaint and I’m being very cheap here is that they charged us for a coke refill for my daughter. Everything else was outstanding!

In comparison to other Nobu’s that I’ve visited this one was just okay. The server was great but food came too fast so the whole meal felt rushed. The Black Miso Cod was overcooked which was disappointing because it’s usually my favorite.

A Memorable 39th Anniversary at Nobu's From the moment we walked in, it was clear that Nobu's was the perfect choice for celebrating our 39th wedding anniversary. The ambiance was inviting, and we were led to the most romantic table, setting the stage for a memorable evening. Our waiter, Luis, was nothing short of incredible. Not only did he help us navigate the menu, but he also surprised us with some of his own selections. Each dish was a culinary masterpiece, tantalizing our taste buds and leaving us eager for the next course. Luis' service was attentive, personalized, and genuinely outstanding, elevating our dining experience to new heights. In summary, Nobu's delivered an amazing dining experience that made our special day even more unforgettable. We couldn't have asked for a better way to celebrate our 39th anniversary.

The service was very rude, especially the hostess at the entrance. Customers are paying a lot of money to dine at the restaurant like this. And come there for experience which is ruined by the attitude of the hostess. The only person who was very friendly and nice was a bartender.

I have dined at other Nobu restaurants and loved everything but Nobu Fifty seven was underwhelming. The server was rude and not attentive. When we asked questions about the menu he seemed agitated. The food was not presented well and we had to ask for plates when it arrived. It was my birthday and I was very disappointed in our experience. I hope that this was just an isolated incident and that we can expect excellent service and food the next time we visit.

We have dined numerous times at Nobu 57. This experience was horrendous due to appetizers being charred or cold (when they were supposed to be served hot). Rolls were ok with spicy tuna and house special poorly assembled. Server was fine but plainly overwhelmed with number of table responsible for serving. Number of tables assigned more than any efficient person could or should have to manage.

Excellent service I received last night! We went out for my mom’s birthday, and she was so happy at the service, and at the quality of the food she had. Thank you to the servers Deon and Jojo for being so lovely to us the entire night and accommodating all of our needs. Will be coming back again!

The food at Nobu is consistently phenomenal all be it , very very expensive . I don’t mind paying the price though, it’s special . The acoustics however are so horrible that my ears were ringing for hours after we left . We sat at a booth upstairs one of the satellite kitchens . It was pretty brutal .

The restaurant itself was nice. Food, outstanding (pricey, but it’s Nobu), our experience was soured by other guests, loud, profane, tactless. We were seated right before a guy with no reservation with a “do you know who I am” attitude. The only fault I could place on the restaurant is not reeling this people in (party of 8). Staff said they were sorry, but that was the end of it. So overall, good. Second best steak I ever had. Get the Wagyu! I’d give them another chance next trip, or the one after that.

This by far has to be the best food ever. I was highly impressed by the food, the staff and the environment. We loved it so much we went back the next day for lunch. I’ve heard about this place but to experience it yourself is a must!
