Nobu Dallas Ratings and Reviews
Love this restaurant. However, they seemed a bit scattered when we arrived. Then I got a DING from Open Table for not showing up to my reservation. We were there. I even called before we arrived. Not sure why they said that we did not show up. Otherwise, always a great experience.
Absolutely amazing. Everyone kept telling us go to Uchi, but it was impossible to get into. There's no way it was better than Nobu. Fresh, fun, delicious and great waiter. There's a reason this gem has been around a while. Loved it all, and don't forget the miso cappuccino dessert, to die for!
Nobu Dallas was a really nice evening with friends for a special birthday ! Everyone found something they loved. We enjoyed an hr.of drinks in the lounge to warm up then sat at a round table which is ideal . The tasting menu wasn't as impressive as I've experienced with the tasting menu in NYC or Miami Nobu so next time I'll spend almost $200 on creating my own ...of coirse the food was delicious , exotic and unbelievably fresh quality !
Have eaten at several NOBU's and find their food excellent but extremely overpriced/valued. Traditional Japanese food, both here and as presented in Japan is expensive due to the necessity of hand preparation for Sushi and Sashimi, but at a 3 to 4 multiple in price is simply not worth paying for Nobu Matsuhisas $15.6 million dollar home in Bel Air, CA.
It was all great. Midway through our meal a man joined the lady next to me on the two top where he squeezed next to the woman crowding me some. I didn’t mind as I was more absorbed in my conversation and the meal.
The manager came by and asked if we were okay and nodded to the three people at the two top. We told him we were just fine.
At dessert time we were served two lovely desserts as a gift from the manager. What a thoughtful manager.
Nobu is by far, for me, the epitome in shashimi, service, ambiance.
WE HAD A GREAT DINNER, ALL OF US HAD THE 'EXCLUSIVE'
THE FOOD REALLY STOOD TO ITS MENU NAME...EXCLUSIVE.
REALLY DELICIOUS AND WE CAME CAME FROM THE DINNER FEELING NICLY SATISFIED AFTER 7 COURSES.
A GREAT BOTTLE OF SAKE, THAT WE WERE SURPRISED ON HOW MUCH WE DRANK CONSIDERING THE SIZE OF BOTTLE... ALL OF US FELT REALLY GOOD TOO, VERY IMPORTANT...
I really wanted to like this meal - after all, it was New Years Eve AND my anniversary dinner with my wife. But unfortunately, it was very inconsistent. There were some brilliant flavors, but the service was poor and some of the sushi still had bones, and frankly, some of the dishes just weren’t good.
When the staff complains to guests about long hours (on NYE, no less) and the food is sub-par, it calls into question this ICONIC chain’s reputation.
The meal certainly wasn’t worth the $500 price tag, and since the dining room was at least 1/3 empty, I must not be the only person that thinks so.
Nobu is consistently a wonderful dining experience! We enjoy sampling the chef’s specials and have never been disappointed by his selections. We also love the crispy rice tuna, the rock shrimp and the spinach salad which is so good and not something I would normally think to order at a sushi restaurant. The nigiri is always fresh and beautifully presented and the wagyu beef truly melts in your mouth. We’ve taken quite a few guests to Nobu and everyone has been wowed by the food and the overall experience!
We partook in The Chef's Choice. It was Amazing!! Delicious, attractively served, variety of components, taste delicate to spicy, but everything crestively presented with healthy ingredients. We have been to Nobu's many times. We are continually impressed and will continue to return. Service was excellent.
The food was good, not great and the service was horrible. We ordered the omakase (150 pp) and we waited 30 to 40 min between courses. Generally over priced for what you get. Best bet would be to try one of the other well known sushi bars / Japanese restaurants in the area.
