Loved the food, service and atmosphere.
For a small place in Dallas, the setup is very nice for a date and well worth the price.
Everything was delicious and service was good
Food was awesome. Service was very slow, it took at least 20 minutes to know who our server was.
I have been here several times in the last few months, but this particular time, the service was very slow and non-attentive, and they forgot a last-minute iced tea order (which fortunately they did not put on the ticket). Food great, though, and I go here for that, notwithstanding service problems with some of their employees. In summary, the wait staff is a little thin for a restaurant with this scale of operations, but the food is so outstanding that I keep coming back.
Been here many times before, this experience was poor from start to finish. Finished is what I am now done with for Nobu.
Overall, it was a good experience. The food was great. However, the service could be improved. Our server barely checked on us. I had to flag down other servers and bus boys for help. When I am paying top dollar for a meal — I expect decent service.
it was alright. they sat us in the back
The evening started off a little shaky. Knowing how much money we were about to spend, you would expect immediate & attentive service and it took about 10 mins for water to be brought to our table and 20 mins to order cocktails. From that point, everything was on point...especially the food. I would highly suggest the Omakase tasting menu.
We have enjoyed dining at many Nobu restaurant all of the world. Always a wonderful experience!! Food consistently excellent and attention to detail always spot on. Nobu Dallas was very crowded and a bit more noisy and service maybe 4 stars rather than 5, but a great night!!
Even though our table was nearest to the kitchen, the activity was not annoying. I actually found it to be an interesting distraction from the business meal. Needless to say the service was excellent and the meal was still consistently exceptional. I love the tacos❤️ What a yummy bite of deliciousness. Thank you Chef.
Service was terrible. Barely was paid any attention too. She was more interested in the 2
2-3 tables of 4 business men then the our table... drinks left empty she just didn’t give two cents for our table. Terrible. Will never return. 100$ dinner for the worst service I have had in a long time. Higher end restaurant and I felt like I had to set the table on fire to get her attention.
Go someplace else other than here! Unless your a 4 top of business men. You won’t be looked at.
my boyfriend and i went to nobu for our 3 year anniversary dinner. our waiter was so friendly & the food was phenomenal! after we finished, the waiter surprised us with an anniversary dessert specifically for us. it really topped the overall experience off and was such a special touch! we will definitely be back :)
Eat here often. Food always great BUT Have never had service that bad before. Waitress blamed everyone (bar and cooks/chefs) for being slow and forgetting orders. One individual with us never got their order. It was just awful. If it happens again, I’ll never eat at this or any other nobu. Plenty of other great sushi options.
We are regular customers at Nobu (in several cities) and today the quality of the food in the Dallas location was subpar. Dishes that were supposed to be warm, were served cold and honestly did not reflect the quality that this restaurant should have. Will definitely not come back for a while. Today at least terrible value for the price.
Terrible food. Terrible service. Took 3 hours just to finish dinner for 3 people(in a bad way). Not worth it. GO TO UCHI INSTEAD!
Where to begin. If I ate the food at a regular Japanese restaurant I would have thought it was just ok, but for Nobu it was shockingly disappointing. We ordered Wagyu and foie gras dumplings because the server told us there was twice as much foie gras as the usual dumpling. Firstly they were completely overcooked as the wrappers were hard and chewy, with a pretty tasteless filling, definitely not twice the amount of anything, Just Wagyu that was ground. As a chef I can tell you there is no way any restaurant grinds up good quality wagyu for any reason, So I am completely skeptical about the whole Wagyu filling deal. If you don’t believe me Google Anthony Bourdain and his disdain for Wagyu burgers served in restaurants. My wife and I each got a roll which were very good, although I think around $40 for a king crab roll is highway robbery but it was our anniversary. They brought my wife the wrong main meal, so I had to wait to eat my black cod miso which was OK, but for almost $40 for a very small piece of fish literally on a plate by itself was sad looking. The topper must’ve been the fatty tuna or Toro sashimi. Three pieces for $45, but having silver skin in any fatty tuna that you’re paying that much for is utterly unacceptable. My wife and I are not complainers and do not like wasting food, but returning or complaining about most of the food would’ve looked like we were trying to get out of an expensive dinner. What a shame, lesson learned. I’ve been to Nobu in New York before so I knew what I was getting into with regards to the $365 bill for two of us with tip, but for that price it better be spectacular, but sadly this was not as there are way better Japanese restaurants for less money in a Dallas.
First off the food was good. The service was good but our waitress was just adequate. Nothing special. The cost. I don’t mind paying for great food and atmosphere but this was $560 for the night with only 2 glasses of wine a piece. While the food was good it definitely wasn’t good enough to justify the cost. There is better here in town. As for the atmosphere, if you like the LA scene, then this is for you. It’s def for people that want to peacock their status. Felt fake and forced.
Great experience! Highly recommend.
Our experience was probably adversely affected by Valentine’s Day and how busy the place was, but a well-known restaurant like this must be able to handle the crowd.
Our drink orders arrived about 10-15 minutes apart, not the best start. This is not even acceptable from a sports bar.
We both went with the special Omakase and the food was just okay. Nothing really stood out in that menu.
In the first course one of us did not get the palette cleanser on their plate, another disappointment. The waiter noticed it and told us he would bring it; but he, much like the chef, forgot.
The place really looks good and has a nice ambiance, but at this price range, it’s certainly not worth it.
Great Place with Great Food and Atmosphere.
Wait staff was mediocre, over poured wine, was seated at 9 and was told kitchen was closing so get any additional orders in...
Super pricey and just not worth it....
6 tiny pieces of tuna for $38.....
Ok ambiance but been to nicer. Not worth the wait hype or $$$
It was great
It was such a wonderful experience! Our waitress Christina was amazing - we never waited for refills and she made amazing recommendations! I could not have been happier with my experience. Even my friends who weren’t the biggest sushi fans had a fantastic meal and tried some new stuff!
Amazing as always!! LOVE LOVE LOVE ❤️ the yellow fin with jalapeño.
Although the quality of the food was good, the value price wise was horrible. The sushi rolls are way too small for the price and desert as well. I have been to similar restaurants with the same quality of food for a much better value and volume.
It’s just so damn good
Good meal not as “wow”
Of an experience as las vegas but quality was good. Drinks were the best, service was great. Food quality was lacking though
I’ve been to Nobu in other cities before, Nobu Dallas really dropper the ball in terms of their service. To be honest, the waiter may have been new and overwhelmed or we observed they could have been vastly understaffed. It took 30 minutes to get my cocktail, and I ordered it right when we sat down, it came after my food. Overall just more frustrating and disappointing experience than anything. However, I’d return to a Nobu in another city.
Awesome place! Black cod with miso is the best! Thank you.
Went there for a birthday dinner. I have been there 3 or 4 times before and always enjoyed it very much. But the service was poor and the food was mediocre this last time. Maybe it was an off night, but I will not be back for a long while.
We visited with our office staff. We all ordered the Dallas experience and 2 bottles of very expensive wine. I believe the Dallas Experience is 6 course. The first three courses came out right behind each other, we barely finished one course before the next course was delivered. The last 3 were approximately 15-20 minutes apart. We had not seen our waiter, but communicated to other staff that this was unacceptable. It didn’t seem to matter. We did get the courses and check after repeatedly asking and letting the wait staff know, we had somewhere to be. I told the hostess stand upon leaving, a manager did call me, and said she would email me , which she has not.
I thought the food was average, but the pricing outrageous! There are many other places that are superior. We will not return. The lack of caring from the staff and average food are not worth my time!
Nobu is always a great place! From New York to Miami to Dallas.
The service was a little lack luster from the other Nobu locations i have experienced.
Consistently awesome every time we go.
Unfortunately nothing totally wowed me. I had higher expectations. Though, it was definitely not horrible.
We made a reservation far in advance but still got sat at a table that was in the middle of a walkway between two sides of the restaurant. They tried to hid the walkway with a curtain which makes that table even more awkward as all the waiters walk through there and hit the chair. Our waiter dropped the menu on me while trying to open it, and a couple waitstaff were talking right behind our table about how they lost track of what course we were on for the omakase.
Otherwise, the food was delicious.
