Why they're an Icon

Executive chef: Jennifer Chow

From the OpenTable editors: Come to legendary chef Nobu Matsuhisa’s Caesars Palace spot for the refined Japanese-inspired dishes that made the restaurant a global phenomenon. Dressed with lanterns and natural wooden accents, the elegant dining room sets the stage for a decadent meal of knockout sushi along with Nobu classics like miso black cod. For a full-on celebration, get the omakase menu, prepared tableside on teppanyaki grills.

Nobu never disappoints. We have been dining here since it opened. Heather was excellent. Highly recommend Nobu at any location, but this is our favorite.

My wife and I had dinner last night and it was a wonderful dining experience. The service was great from the entire team. Daniel was our server and he was very knowledgeable about the food and drinks and also very attentive. Daniel put our meal together based on our preferences. We had the jalapeño yellow tail, seared albacore nigiri, salmon belly, tuna avocado, Japanese Wagyu, black cod miso, and my wife had miso soup. Everything was fresh, delicious, and presented beautifully. The black cod miso is decadent and absolutely divine, The Wagyu was flambéd at the table and every bite was savored. It was a little salty though. We each had lychee martinis to start and then my wife had an espresso martini and I had the sidecar with Japanese whiskey and an orange liqueur. All were excellent. Overall, dinner was incredible. The only issue, and it was a big one, is that there was a miscommunication on expectations for what we wanted to spend. I explained my wife doesn’t eat much which is why we opted not to do the Omakase menu. He said he could do an a la carte version. He asked if we wanted keep it at about $200-250 which is exactly what we wanted to do. The miscommunication was that he meant $200-250/person, not total. We could’ve done the Omakase for $250 each which is why we wanted to do it a la carte. We ended up with a $550 tab before tip and I ended up eating way too much food because my wife didn’t eat much, as expected. So, I was a bit taken back to see the bill that high. My only suggestion would be to make sure that’s clear because a $250 difference in the tab wont go over well with many customers and put a little damper on an otherwise unforgettable dining experience.

The music was way too loud and did not allow for conversation. After we were seated and obligated to our dining experience the service started to taper off.
