Noble Fare Ratings and Reviews
The ambiance was a bit strange. There was one girl who was the bartender, the waitress and the host in the entire restaurant. She was so busy and overwhelmed that we were afraid to even call her. A restaurant this level should not have one person servicing the entire restaurant
Please see my Yelp review. great service. Cheese plate was a little stingy. Filet mignon was very good. Scallops were delicious. Cocktails awesome. I loved my Manhattan. Wine selection was nice. Large but not too big. Just right. Great attentive wait staff.
Charming, romantic and friendly. This small but elegant little restaurant is a new favorite. The food was delicious, creative and beautifully presented. The staff was friendly and attentive. My husband said his filet mignon was the best he ever had. I tried the chilean salmon, which was excellent. We will be back.
With all of the newer restaurants that have sprung up in Savannah over the last few years, It had been a while since we'd dined in this gem. Our experience made us realize that it needs to be back in our rotation of fine dining establishments. The food, preparation and service were excellent. After our beef carpaccio appetizer, I had the market catch of the day, which was grouper this evening. My wife had the short rib. I highly recommend this cozy establishment in Historic Savannah that's tucked away from the high traffic areas making it easier to find parking on the same block. We will be back soon.
Food , service and atmosphere are all excellent. We enjoyed our dining experience and will most definitely both recommend and return to this lovely restaurant.
Food presentation is very nice and tastes wonderful. Very small intimate dining experience, highly recommend if you have a special occasion.
Because I didn't like the table that they had initially reserved for us, right next to the kitchen sandwiched between the men's room and the ladies bathroom , we waited at the bar for about 45 min. The bar is very tiny and right in the middle of the dining room. The bartender was extremely rushed , making drinks for a large party upstairs and made us feel very unwelcome. Once our table was ready , they pointed over to it and did not wait on us for at least 15 min. The waiter was not knowledgeable about wine selection and seemed very rushed. The food was average at best. I really wanted to like this place , but unfortunately I left feeling let down.
We chose this restaurant for our 10th wedding anniversary and were very impressed overall. The atmosphere was very cozy and romantic. We were greeted with complimentary glasses of champagne to celebrate our special day. The menu was not extensive, but the selections were varied for taste. We enjoyed some nice wine and our dinner was fabulous.
This was our first time at this highly recommended restaurant. I was worried because I wanted a vegetarian dinner and saw no options on the menu. The waiter said the chef could whip one up with a spinach risotto base so I crossed my fingers & ordered it. Wow!! It was incredibly good. Meanwhile, my husband had a fish with the same basic base. He was very happy with his decision. The waiter recommended a beer after my husband indicated the type he liked and I ordered a seasonal martini with pumpkin as a main ingredient. Both were fabulous. Amazingly, it was only moderately noisy so we could carry on a conversation—unusual these days at most restaurants. Overall, expensive but great dining!
Husband and I went there while on a weekend away. This restaurant was a prize to behold. When we got there we were going to be seated at a table right at the entry and requested to wait for a table that was not in the direct flow of traffic. The Hostess was very accommodating and we had a drink at the bar while we waited which turned out to be only about 15 min. The dining room was small, intimate, and beautiful in black/white decor with just splashes of bright pink resulting in a very attractive but sophisticated decor. The bar was small but well stocked . Our waitress was well versed on the menu items so we started with the beef carpaccio and mini wedge salad. The carpaccio was ultra thin and delicious. For dinner my husband had the filet with asparagus and garlic potatoes that he thought were perfectly done and very good while I had the veal osso bucco that was one of the nights specials. It was fantastic! The meat was moist, tender and fell off the bone, the polenta was flavorful and with the roasted vegetable accompaniment it was absolutely delicious. The wine list was extensive and we had wine from our favorite Napa winery. The entire evening was one we'll remember as a great part of our trip to Savannah. Note: Because of the small size reservations are a must.
Attended Little Easy Dinner - promoted as New Orleans influence. 2nd worst food and most expensive in a 10 day Charleston/Savannah trip. Before dinner cocktail and dinner with wine pairings - $220 for 2.
1st course - Crab had good flavor, sauce was bland, overall so-so. Rosé paired was a good match and improved the dish.
2nd course - Gumbo(?) Primarily rice and chicken without seasoning. A few overcooked shrimp were present. Way too thick for gumbo.
Couple chunks of some kind of sausage, not like any andouille I have ever tasted. I regularly try andouille from many butchers around the country and good andouille is not difficult to obtain. Tend to use Jacob's as a benchmark but others are out there.
Overall poor interpretation of gumbo, it should be served over rice not rice as the primary ingredient.
Chardonnay pairing couldn't help this dish but didn't hurt.
3rd course - Dry bread pudding. Little taste didn't want to waste the calories.
Flambé Cocktail - Served in a cordial/shot glass. Cocktail was impossible for the severer to light as the glass was very narrow. The drink was extremely sweet but may have been an execution problem.
Very disappointed after looking at positive reviews for Noble Fare. Overall not a time I'd ever want to repeat. Regular menu might be better but poor special menu will eliminate another visit for the poor food and value.
One of the best restaurants in Savannah. Cozy bar upstairs and an intimate dining space downstairs. Food is always consistently great. Service was outstanding as usual. I was trying to find a glass of wine and our server suggested a wine. I tasted it and it was not to my liking. Without me having to ask she then brought me a taste of another wine. That's one of the reasons this restaurant is top notch. I ordered the lobster appetizer which was wonderful my husband had the grilled romaine salad which is a favorite of ours. Both were superb. For a main course I had the duck breast and Mike had the fish special. Both were cooked to perfection. We love this place!!
Filet mignon ordered medium. Arrived raw. Sent back . Arrived very rare. Sent back again
arrived medium but meat was all cut up and looked horrible. Ordered coffee with cream and sweet n low. Coffee arrived but no sweet n low. Could not alert waitress.
Would not go back.
Conflicted. Have eaten here multiple times. We made notes this was for wife's birthday. We sat between the bathrooms while open 2 top tables in front were unused. Service started great and ended badly. The last half hour were basically forgotten. No offer of birthday dessert, had to ask for check 3 times. Very disappointing experience.
