We always have a wonderful meal and dining experience at Noble Fare.
Food is always excellent. Steaks and fish dishes are the best on town!
Excellent food and service. A neighborhood gem that is worth the trip . One of the great restaurants in Savannah.
This cozy neighborhood gem offers consistently good food made with fresh local ingredients. The cocktail list changes seasonally. During St. Patrick's "month" try the Leprechaun. The wine list is fine, and there are craft beers available.
For starters, the wilted romain salad gets rave reviews. The mushroom soup is a meal in itself. I wish they would give the option for ordering a cup instead of a full bowl. The menu features a catch of the day and if it is halibut, look no further for your dinner selection.
The decor is funky...kind of New Orleans bordello with its black and white damask wallpaper and red drapes. I don't say that disparagingly; somehow it works. The chairs are comfy and the noise level is subdued. You can actually talk to your dining companions without yelling.
On occasion the restaurant offers a $15 "TV Dinner" that includes an entre, side, and dessert.
You can arrange for parties on the second floor where there is a dedicated bar and additional table seating. I love this upstairs bar. It is not really part of Savannah's bar scene, but if you want a place to hang out with girlfriends for a private chat, this could be the place. Just be aware that the second floor is up a steep flight of stairs.
Dinner guests are mostly locals. The restaurant also operates a sandwich shop two blocks south of the restaurant that offers tasty take-out.
Another delightful evening at Noble Fare!
Great food and good service. Short ribs and filet mignon were excellent.
The food was very good, the drinks were great. Very romantic, nice for celebrating and anniversary.
The food was great. Most of the diners , including us, were attending a special event nearby. The service felt rushed but actually was very slow. We Will go back, but might not choose on a big event night.
I don't understand why this place has so many good reviews. As some of the posters have already mentioned, don't waste your time or money.
I knew this probably wasn't going to work out well when the completely frazzled lady behind the bar then did double leave duty to be our waitress. To be fair, she was a very nice lady, just slammed by the disorganized manner of the restaurant. She said, "all our steaks are wet-aged because the chef prefers them that way so he can put a good char on them." I'm thinking, yeah, because they're cheaper.
The steak cane our completely overcooked and I sent it back. The next one came out completely cold red in the middle but, just like the other one, burnt to a crisp on the outside. It was sent back. They tried a third time but it was still the same, cold red in the middle, burnt outside. How hard is it to cook a medium rare steak? Eventually I told them to forget it and I went without a meal.
The other dish, fish, was drowned on a buttery sauce and, like the first steak, overcooked.
The decor is old and tired but perhaps that is part of the charm for some.
I thought at the very least they'd apologize and offer the main courses at their expense. Initially I refused to pay for the entrees but they said it was my fault for not knowing what a medium rare steak is supposed to be and reluctantly agreed to comp the steak. How kind! They decided to not charge for me for something I didn't have.
Went to Noble Fare for dinner with my wife and friends. My friends and I had the filet and my wife had the diver scallops, all of which were cooked to perfection by Chef Patrick. After a wonderful meal we had dessert and after dinner drinks. Our regular server, Stephanie, helped everyone make the perfect selection for wine and after dinner drinks. Another perfect evening at Noble Fare, thanks to Jenny, Patrick and Stephanie.
My wife and I went to celebrate Valentine's day . The atmosphere and food were phenomenal.
We had a great valentines dinner at NobleFare! They had a very good menu. We enjoyed the food and drinks, cocktails that we had were very well priced. Overall: great experience.
It was Valentine's Day and both the local cab company and Uber let us down, so we arrived 15 minutes late for our reservation on a busy night. The restaurant couldn't have been nicer about it, and what could have been a problematic evening wasn't.
Great food and service. Very consistent. Menu has changed very little over the years which could be good or not, depending on how you look at it. Not a cheap evening but one of our favorites
The braised short ribs lacked flavor but the duck was good. And the creme brûlée and decaf coffee were amazing. Very attentive and pleasant staff. Overall it was a decent place for a special dinner for two.
Expertly prepared dishes. Lovely quiet atmosphere. Notable service. The scallops were the best I have ever eaten. The timing of everything was perfect. Not rushed or slow. I will dine here again and recommend Noble Fare to all my friends.
Besides the know it all of politics at the other table made sure everyone heard him the restaurant was excellent wonderful food and a very cool waiter
Visited during restaurant week with my son, his lady friend and another couple. All were impressed. We live in the neighborhood and we will be back regularly.
Probably my favorite Savannah restaurant. Been there many times - never disappointed.
I had the braised short ribs and my wife had the diver’s scallops. We also had soup de jour which was tomato bisque. Everything was great.
Great food in a small atmosphere—great for special occasions or if you just want a good meal.
Cute, intimate space with good food! We enjoyed our dinner...salads, entrees, and dessert were all delicious!
We enjoyed everything!! Great meal, great service and great atmosphere
Superbeb food, excellent customer service, cozy ambience and excellent choice of ingredients and combination of ideas.
We dined here for New Year's Eve. It was a prix-fix menu, all delicious items with recommended wine pairings. The food was fabulous, beautifully presented, and more than sufficient. Elegant with white table cloths and very comfortable armchairs with pillows! The decor was charming, sort of an eclectic style using black, white and red. I highly recommend Noble Fair.
Wanted small, southern, quaint, quiet, upscale. Got it all. Limited menu but great food and service in wonderful environment. Walking distance to Courtyard Marriott and historic area.
Make reservations. Expect about $150 - 200 a couple. Don't rush, enjoy.
Excellent - Beyond our expectations! Cheryl is an waitress, very helpful in menu selections! Next time in Savannah we will return to Noble Fare!
As locals we have a lot of good restaurants to choose from but Noble Fare is always our choice for a "special" evening. It is romantically cozy and the food is superb. The staff is friendly and attentive. The drink list is good and the menu is excellent.
The food was impeccable as was the restaurant. The Chef is extremely talented and loaded with personality. A must visit in Savannah.
Excellent meal and service. A quiet restaurant. Our party of 8 enjoyed all entries, salads and appetizers
A short menu but food is taken seriously by this restaurant. Elegant atmosphere.
The ambience, service and location was great. The food was not what we were expecting based on the recent reviews. They were all sold out of duck so we settled with a fleigh mignon and NY strip steak. Both were done nicely on the inside but too charred on the outside.
I used to love this restaurant and I never had a bad experience. This past visit the both female staff were rude and not available, making us feel as though we were a bother. The food was okay but has been much better in the past.
I always enjoy coming here with my husband and guest from out of town. Beautiful inside not casual attire. So dress for dinner. Interesting mix drinks before dinner. Quiet and romantic but I have gone here with older children. Not for young children unless they are well travelled!
The food was just ok. I had the filet with mashed potatoes, harcot vert and mashes potatoes. My 22 year old is a line cook and could provide me the same meal for a lot less money. The server was pretentious which didn't help any. Overall, an ok experience, but there are other places I would go to and recommend before going back to this one.
Love, love, love. Noble Fare never fails to please. We had an outstanding meal in a very cozy setting. Will be back again!
A quaint spot with great food and drinks!
My friend and I thoroughly enjoyed our experience and they took into account my added notes that I wrote at the time of the reservation, which was to make a show on time. The food was delectable and once our waitress understood my friend was a vegan she immediately offered a chef option that was delicious. We also made it to our Christmas show in plenty of time across town.
If I could give 6 stars I would. My top restaurant. Steaks are better than any of the “famous” restaurants......make your reservations months ahead.
Have dined here many times and it remains one of our absolute favorite restaurants in Savannah.
