This place has declined. They still have great sounding options on their menu, but the execution is so much worse than it used to be. What a shame!
I love Noah's and try to go there almost every time I am out in Greenport which is fairly often. I live in Manhattan, and like most people in the city, I am fond of fine cuisine and a lively crowd. Noah's does not let down.
The menu looked so good, we had a hard time deciding what to order. We decided to go with the small plates. Highly recommend the local oysters. The broccoli was the best thing on the menu, which is weird, but totally worth it. I docked two stars on service because it took a long time for the waitress to take our drink and food orders and another because I had asked for the sausage to be left out in the mussels, and it was included. Otherwise, a lovely experience and I highly recommend.
It was a great evening. The roasted garlic was amazing. I liked the smaller plates, was able to try several different items. The cocktails were very delicious too!
Food is always fresh and clean and I like the portions. Pleasant service better in off season
Great food, especially the tapas, and equally great service. Thanks
Excellent food and nice people. We enjoy going there. Only one gripe, hairs in the napkins...
I was really impressed with the food. It’s the kind of spot where everything is very good and you could easily become a regular.
Amazing food - consistently high quality, very well prepared, locally sourced, and really delicious. Attentive, professional friendly service even on a super busy night amidst lots of varied service requests. Also excellent value - both Prix fixe and regular menu. The consistently best value, highest quality and most enjoyable experience in dining In Greenport and top 2 on NoFo. I recently had a high end meal at a 2-star Michelen NYCity restaurant that cost more than Noah’s and wasn’t near the great experience. I wish I could have brought our guests out to Greenport instead.
We always love Noah’s. He has a great happy hour and we frequently dine there for a special occasion. The food is superb!!
I just love Noah's! My husband and dined here for an early New Year's Eve dinner. We both had a tasting menu. That was a hard decision because the regular menu is so interesting. The meal started with an amuse bouche - deviled egg. Then pan seared foie gras on a toasted brioche with a tomato jam. So delicious! This was followed by a winter citrus crab salad - light and wonderful. The pan roasted filet mignon was fork tender and served with a smoked celery root puree and shaved brussel sprouts. The Cab Franc reduction was to die for. I choose a cheese plate for dessert (which I took home because I was so filled) and my husband had a pot de creme that he loved. Noah's always has wonderful, friendly service. We always feel welcomed here. Check it out. Noah's will not disappoint!!
Top notch service surrounds fresh delicious food. Consistently one of the best in the region.
We ordered tastes, slider to share, then entree. Ecletic and delicious. Thanks Noah.
Love Noah’s! We enjoyed the deviled eggs with crab!! Yum!!! My favorite is the bbq duck with polenta. We also loved the filet mignon sliders and the oyster po’boys. Noah’s is always delicious!!! One of my favorite place in Greenport!!!
Noah's has pretty good food and lovely atmosphere. The value appears to be best (and it's the most fun) if you order small plates. I did that, and except for excessive vinegar in the Portobello mushroom skewer, the food was good. Also, there's a good wine list, and they serve 3-ounce pours, so lightweights like me can taste a couple different things.
My husband ordered the bouillabaisse. It was good, but meager in size -- one scallop, some clams and mussels (4-5 total, at most). The cod didn't make it into the dish, but was brought out after we mentioned it to our server.
So we liked this place, but feel that the chef should at least make sure that all of the ingredients make it into the dish.
My husband and I had a thoroughly enjoyable meal. As usual, the food was very good and the service was attentive.
Noah's continues to be an outstanding North Fork restaurant. It specializes in "small plates" and "tastes", though you can also get full entrees. We usually get three "tests" (such as the wonderful crab-stuffed deviled egg and duck liver mousse) and a couple of "small plates" (such as the crab tacos, grilled sardines, steamed mussels, and duck BBQ) for the two of us, and find that ample. All are delicious, and many feature creative combinations of flavors. Desserts are good too, though probably not as outstanding: for example, the key lime pie is good, but that at the Frisky Oyster, down the street is better. The service is attentive and knowledgeable. They seem to have devoted attention to keeping the noise somewhat under control via soundproofing in the ceiling.
Consistently good. New fall menu is exciting. Many new items cause you to want to go again soon.
