Noah Grant's Grill House and Oyster Bar Ratings and Reviews
WOW! What fantastic meal! We had a 7:45 reservation on a very busy Saturday night but we were seated at a comfortable and almost private booth immediately. Our server (Taylor) was wonderful with recommendations. We went with the grouper and the risotto. They were both delicious! They decor was beautiful and modern. We found the noise level to be lively but we could definitely carry on conversation. We had a GREAT night overall and I can't wait to go back!!!
My daughter and I were staying in Indy over the weekend to visit colleges. We happened into Noah Grant's by accident and were glad we did. The service was great, the food was great, the place has a really cool vibe. Being from NJ, we didn't know what to expect from Zionsville (what a great place). Here's hoping she gets into one of the IN colleges so we can return with the rest of the family.
After friends and relatives had a negative experience at Noah Grant's I was reluctant to visit the new location. I was pleasantly surprised, however, with most aspects of our visit. I like the new location -- attractive decor suitable for a restaurant that features seafood; much more spacious and comfortable than the old place. A larger reception area might have been nice, though.
Food was great. The pace was a little slow, but they were busy. Our server, Matt, did a very nice job. There were some lost-looking teenage bus boys roaming and hovering, quick to snatch an empty plate. This was a bit annoying as I had a bite halfway to my mouth and more on the plate when I was asked if I was done. We laughed it off.
Don't go to Noah Grant's if you're hoping for quiet dinner conversation. The bar area patrons were kind of rowdy and the larger dining area decor has no soft surfaces to absorb sound, so everyone in the restaurant was speaking loudly. The tin ceilings probably contributed to the situation. Not the kind of "ambiance" I would want every time, but it was OK this night.
Overall, a good experience. We'll be back.
The food was fantastic, however, the sound was almost unbearable! We couldn't hear each other across the table or hear our waitress. Our Hostess was extremely rude. We were very excited to try the new location. We have always loved Noah Grants and were disappointed. The food was amazing, but not sure it was worth it. We will be ordering carry out until for awhile and hopefully the will work out the glitches.
First visit to the 'new' Noah Grant's on the Brick Street. The best word to describe the new restaurant is 'WOW'! However, other words include 'spacious', 'huge bar' 'high ceilings', tin ceilings', 'bright', 'open', 'well-planned'... The food and drink were top notch as always. Service was excellent as usual. The new menu was smarter looking (only 2 pages) and improved with appealing new items like the Grouper dinner that my wife enjoyed, but also simplified with fewer sushi choices. The only complaint that I could register was the missing anchor highlights of menu choices...
The new space had a Victorian era vibe going on with the tall tin-covered ceilings and the creative use white/black/gray coloring throughout...good fit for the Z 'Village'. Unlike the very cozy previous site on 1st Street, the new Noah also has the larger, open feeling of a big city steakhouse while retaining the classic nautical charm of a Nantucket seafood bistro.
Our hats off to the owner and staff for raising the bar at the new Noah Grant's! We'll be back for more...and likely for the new daily Happy Hour with half-priced oysters...
The new Noah Grants location transports you to the east coast with one of the most tastefully decorated coastal/seafood themes around. Clean black and white dictates the color scheme while creative lighting, tin ceilings, large booths, and huge bar with separate bistro table seating round out the beautiful interior. Nautical artwork is scattered perfectly about the space.
Noah's incredible menu offers something for everyone, emphasizing fresh oysters, a sushi bar and seafood entrees that delight. There are plenty of incredible meat options as well.
Craft cocktails perfectly prepared by the staff and an extensive wine and beer list add to the unbeatable experience!
I ordered the Shrimp tacos which come with french fries (really fries?). One reason for ordering the shrimp tacos was not wanting something fried (I didn't eat the soft taco) so why get fries. My friend and I both didn't understand pairing fries with tacos. I asked for broccoli instead, but was told Noah's does not do substitutions. Very disappointed so wouldn't get this dish again.
We got there at 6:30 and though busy at this time it emptied out by 7:15 which surprised us.
The new location is beautiful though I miss the cool bar at the previous location.
one thing I would change....the oyster smell in the bar was so strong. But the restaurant and bar were Beautifully done! Sushi was awesome. Fun bar. Clean. Staff was great of course. So excited that we have this awesome restaurant option in Zionsville. Had waited for this to open and it exceeded my expectations. Wish the bar was open for lunch!
I escorted a customer of mine and his wife to dinner. They are from Georgia, and come to our facility quarterly. Noah Grant's is always on the agenda for one of the dinners that we take them to while they are in town. My customer is a fan of single malt scotch, and loves the variety that Noah Grant's offers. We never leave without ordering oysters on the half shell. They are fresh and of good quality. Always enjoy ourselves at this restaurant.
This was our first trip to Noah Grants. The food was excellent. We really enjoyed the Oysters and the butter cake desert.
Our table was right by the kitchen so there was a lot of activity back by us and one really annoying fly!
We will go back, the food and service were outstanding.
I made reservations two days in advance yet we were seated in the somewhat cramped and busy front hallway. As I was ordering at ~8 PM, I was told they were out of sour cream. I felt like saying, could you send someone to the store? The shrimp cocktail sauce was about 50% Horseradish sauce (way too much) and my loaded potato wasn't (a couple of butter patties, a sprinkle of cheese and a few bacon bits). After my wife's soup arrived we had to flag down the waitress to get a spoon. All relatively minor items but, to me, they reflect a lack of attention to detail--the deference between a great and a good restaurant.
We were celebrating my birthday on a Sunday night. We were seated by the entrance, next to a large/loud party (making conversation difficult), and under a ceiling fan (on a cool night) that couldnt be turned off (bc it would also kill the light). Food was delicious, although we sat for 10 mins before a waiter showed up at our table. Other than that, great experience.
