Wonderful food and great service! Would definitely go again!
Amazing culinary experience and atmosphere! Service was superb! Highly recommend and we will definitely be back!
The chicken marsala was enjoyed by everyone at the table. Service was just OK but would definitely recommend coming to try if in the area.
Neil was a great server
Great everything but too loud.
My son and I had a great time. My trout was delicious, and his pizza was good. We were especially impressed with the willingness to make him a caprese salad (his favorite) even though it was not on the menu, and our very helpful and attentive waiter. It's sort of noisy, but otherwise a wonderful experience.
As ALWAYS... No. 246 NEVER fails to give GREAT service and food!
We were dining with a friend from NY and wanted to dine at an establishment that serves delicious food and provides great service...we end d up at No. 246. Our friend LOVED the food!!
We will be back the week of 7/23/18 with another couple.
My husband and I can dine here...DAILY!
Food was delicious. Server was a little too robotic.
The food was amazing the drinks were good. Service was good.
Love no.246!! Awesome restaurant that never disappoints. Great staff, great food, great-great-great!
Been here several times but this was the best meal. All of our party of 5 were satisfied beyond our expectations. Spaghetti and meatballs for 2 was simply amazing and a hit with my wife. This will become one of our frequent spots.
A pleasant night out with the friends. We had the chicken marsala for 2 and it was delicious that night and the next day at lunch.
Bartender excellent; knew his drinks menu. The service and food were excellent. They have a great variety of items on the menu - chicken, pastas, beef, fish, pork, etc.
The mushroom pizza was delicious, but it had more hot peppers than mushrooms. The menu was dirty, the plate already on the table when I was seated had crumbs on it, the place was super loud. I'd asked for a quiet table when making my reservation; even though there were better quieter more adult-oriented tables in the bar area, I was seated in the main dining where there were kids EVERYWHERE (but that's Decatur for you). The food is good, service only so-so, and ambiance disturbing.
Our 1st time at 246! The food was amazing & our waiter was excellent! I wish I could remember his name because he was outstanding with an “O”!!!!
The only negative here was a bit noisy that you really had to lean in to carry on a conversation, but that’s just what you get with a really vibrant, smaller dining establishment. Definitely will go back!
No.246 has never disappointed. They changed up the menu, which is delicious, but I was feeling the need for a favorite; they made it. I would not expect that every time but it sure was nice. I love the food and the staff is equally great.
Number 246 is one of my favorite restaurants in Atlanta. Friends from New York were in and said it was one of the best meals they had in awhile. The peach salad was AMAZING and the heirloom tomato app — man — we all said it was one of the best things we ever put in our mouth! Pastas never disappoint.
Every single thing we ate was delicious, down to the table bread. Will 100% be back.
Limited menu but the ambiance and service were great. Traditional homemade feel.
246 has become our "go to" spot in Decatur. Excellent food and service by Tamara was incredible. The fresh peach salad became an instant favorite. Pizzas are the best.
Fathers Day brunch
Food and service were phenomenal! Neil is a one of kind server; excellent job!
The patio was lovely, as always, and the ping pong table is the best ever distraction for our wiggly children. Cheese platter was on point, as was the incredible trout dish they just switched to. I will be back for it again before the summer is out!
Outstanding food. Get the black spaghetti. The Cesar salad and/or meatball appetizers are great starter options. We brought our own bottle of wine ($20 corking fee) but that was worth it to us. Great place - highly recommend.
Wasn't that impressed after all the hype that no. 246 has received. Noticed upon entering that they had an 85 Health Inspector score, I would think that a top restaurant in ATL would have an A, but I also didn't check to see why the got that score. Service was pretty average, nothing good or bad about it. Took a while to receive our drinks. Meatballs were good, loved the fresh basil in there. I got the cacio e pepe with chicken, which was crazy rich, I was full after barely finishing half the dish. Nothing really to write home about as far as taste goes though, besides an overwhelming amount of pepper. My wife got the black spaghetti; I've never tasted anything like it before in my life. She normally is really into those kinds of dishes (loves squid ink and shrimp), but she wasn't a fan of this. Restaurant was pretty noisy, we had to speak loud to hear each other. Overall, I think this is probably a good place for foodies/fans of Ford Fry to go check out and rave over, but I was left feeling pretty underwhelmed and a little bummed that we spent our anniversary there. The place gets great reviews though, so maybe we just hit an off night or it wasn't our thing.
Visited this restaurant based on others' positive reviews. We shared the cheese and charcuterie plate to start and that was good. Two of us had the squid ink pasta with shrimp and it was pretty heavy and not particularly flavorful. In fact the dominant flavor was from the over-browned (burnt) garlic. My wife had the agnolotti which she said was good. My cousin ordered a pizza and it was, well, a pizza. Service was fine although when I asked for a wine suggestion from the adequate wine list, the waiter promptly suggested the most expensive bottle on the list. What put us off the most were the high prices for the pasta and pizza which is why I can't give this place a good grade for value. Frankly, there are better, higher value places within a stone's throw of this restaurant.
Always wonderful dining here. Attentive staff, great drinks, and most importantly delicious food!
Food and atmosphere was great. Manager too our drinks off our bill because our waitress was so rude which was very nice of him. I would go back but just make sure I didn’t have that waitress again.
Overall experience was great, our waiter could have been a bit more friendlier . But overall a nice experience
Yet again the food was some of the best to date in Atlanta. Always a top choice for a date!
Great food and friendly service. Grouper was outstanding.
Slow service esp bar
This used to be my favorite spot in Decatur center, but my last couple of visits have been very disappointing. The pasta used to be highlight, but now all the pasta dishes come swimming in oil. The black ink spaghetti is good at the top and then it is a pool of oil and grease. The same can be said for the cacio pepe. The kitchen should be embarrassed to serve this to customers, but since it has been repeated our last 3-4 visits, I know it wasn’t just a one-time oversight. Those dishes should never leave the kitchen. That sloppiness would not take place at la tavola or boccalupo. I hope 246 returns to the previous quality and standards that first made my wife and I look forward to returning. However, after our visit tonight, it is going to be a while before we visit again.
We had a delicious meal on a Friday evening. The kids meals are huge and the waitress recommended buying two meals even though our kids are 2 and 4; that seemed to be up sale attempt. The beer selection isn't very large. I had the chicken Marsala and it was divine; hubby had the pizza that is heavy on the meat and he enjoyed it a lot. All of the portions are really big; we will be back for sure.
Very thoughtful Ford Fry Restaurant with a great seasonal menu!
Definitely eat inside if you are on a date or special occasion.
This was awesome. Great service. They catered to our kids and that really helped us enjoy the experience even more.
My husband and I went to no. 246 for our anniversary, and it was spectacular! Everything, from food to drinks to service, was above and beyond. If I could give 10 stars I would!
My husband and I both had the black spaghetti- it was deicious. In fact, everything had a ton of flavor. Great wine list as well. My only negative is it’s very loud - so hard to hold an intimate conversation. But the food and service make it worth more visits.
Had a special graduation dinner but they did nothing special. Extra charge to share with no notification. Waitress seemed annoyed that we were there. No drink refills.
We took friends there a couple of years and had a singularly wonderful dining experience. So for anniversary we decided to return. Menu was very different, service fair - had to ask for cocktail after appetizer arrived, had to ask twice for dishes to be split, and waitress couldn't explain specialty drink menu very well. Food was good. Just disappointed overall. Oh well, lots of other places to go.
