Simply AMAZING!!! Food, service, ambience, staff.... Incredible!
My wife and I love no. 246. This has always been a special place for us over the last several years. We went this last weekend for our 5 year anniversary. I can’t tell you of a better experience at any restaurant we have ever been to. This place has become even more special to us. This staff is incomparable. The care that you all provided to us was more than we could ever ask for. Thank you for making our special day more special! (Ps. The food is stellar too! We had Nancy Silverton’s meatball but no. 246 meatball takes the cake).
Great food and service. As good Italian food as I’ve had in a long time and prices are reasonable.
Wonderful meal and great service! 246 consistently impresses me with the quality of their dishes.
No. 246 does it again! This quaint restaurant serves up delicious food in a sauvé environment. Service was good, however I wish they had spent more time reviewing the menu and pointing out favorite dishes. The Marsala and Spaghetti were both delicious, as were the dishes others ordered. I had my nephews (ages 2 and 4) with me to celebrate my Birthday, and they were accommodated as well!! You were the perfect restaurant to kick off my Birthday Night!
The chef made Chicken Parmigiana for our table and it wasn’t even on the menu. It was delicious and we appreciate him going the extra mile to make our dinner memorable.
The service was good, however the pastas were a bit heavy. The appetizers arancini and okra were excellent. A number of people were eating the pizzas. If I were to go again, I would try those. We did reserve with open table for at other tables rthday, however that appears to have been left off.
Chicken Marsala was overpriced and not very good! Overcooked ! Garlic bread was old hard and half burned😝! I’ve been to ur restaurant before and was pleased but this time I was very disappointed !
I decided to take a friend to brunch for her birthday and this place was great. The host greeting us warmly, wished my friend a happy birthday and seated us. Our server knew it was my friend's birthday too and greeted us warmly as well. Her service was excellent, the food was great and the atmosphere was perfect!! Thanks No. 246 for a wonderful brunch!
Great time like always. First time on patio and great experience.
Ok food. Overpriced for what it is. Nothing special.
Solid food and service.
Tamara was amazing! Food and wine always incredible
There’s nowhere better for comfortable & delicious Italian in Atlanta. If you live in Decatur, become a regular. If you live farther away, this is a destination restaurant and 1000% worth the trek. From the food, to the cocktails & wine list, to the service....no. 246 not only delivers but exceeds even the highest expectations. Take your time, course it out, and try everything. It will be one of the best meals of your life! Not to miss? The brunch menu!
Great chef, excelent food, weekend brunch top notch, nice wine selection, good & creative cocktails, pasta dishes remarkable
I had an awesome time here, my waiter Neil was impeccable. Very attentive, personable and helpful with suggestions. The food was absolutely delicious, everything we ordered was very uniquely delicious. The drinks were also made to perfection. I've definitely found my Italian place in Decatur.
Fantastic!!! Homemade pasta was delicious! Highly recommend!!!
The Mafada was mushy. All the other dishes were fantastic
It was an amazing experience. I have lived in Atlanta for 2 years and have never been able to rate a restaurant a 10 but this one earned it. Food was delicious and service was great. I will definitely come back at least once a month!
Loved my meal at no 246! Amazing service and every bite was better than the last.
Ask for Casey he's the best server! Attentive, nice, and friendly. The food was excellent first time dining at brunch and it was amazing we definitely will be back!!
It seems half portions are available from what it presented on the menu. The options on the menu are portioned appropriately to their price. However, next time I would try to get a "half portion"
As a frequent patron, this was not our best visit. The trout preparation was much too heavy with the corn based sauce and the “hot fudge sauce” on the desert was stone cold. It was not so busy on a Saturday evening too make for an overworked kitchen. Our server was excellent.
Food is amazing! Great ambiance for a date night.
Bread and olive oil was delicious
Beef Carpaccio beautifully presented and very tasty.
Corn Agnolotti way to much butter (angioplasty dish)
Fettuccine with sausage in some kind of red sauce tasted unpleasant. I asked them to wrap it for me to take home just to be polite.
I will not return however the service and the drinks was very good.
no. 246 is one of our favorite restaurants in the Atlanta area. Food (the major draw) is outstanding and well-presented. Service is always top notch as well. The only problem: Noise. This is one of the loudest restaurants we've encountered and it really takes away from the enjoyment.
Not our first visit. The restaurant was busy and quite noisy for reasonable conversation. We normally sit outside, but the weather was a little sketchy. Food has always been excellent, however we tried the roasted almonds and olives which neither of us we’re found of, the dish was very salty and served hot the olives seemed almost bitter. The Chicken Marsala entree made of for any disappointment, so overall very satisfied.
Great overall experience at the restaurant, it was just a little too hot at our table by the end of the night
Two items of feedback: first, I made a reservation for a special birthday dinner and no mention was made of the birthday - that was disappointing; second,’the noise level was very high - too high - hard to have a conversation!
Ray, the new Manager, and K.C., our waiter, could not have been more attentive. Location is charming, classic downtown Decatur, kid friendly and encountering friends on the streets. Food quality was slightly below previous experiences, but we hope this is a one-time event. Still recommend No. 246, presuming food quality and wine pairings resume their prior excellence.
Wow! Wow! Wow!
Pleased with appetizers. Bread was to die for. Pasta was so so and would think twice before ordering it again. Too saucy and spaghetti was more like a bucatini without the holes. Meatballs were so so, exp3cted better...rather dense. Rigatoni was more like a noodle than rigatoni. Would only go back for appetizers.
Some of the best pasta you can find in Atlanta! Delicious food, stellar service, great ambiance.
This is one of my favorite restaurants in Decatur. The food is always delicious and never disappoints. We had a reservation for 7:15 but arrived early from our last author signing during the Decatur Book Festival. The hostess was very friendly and seated us early, which we very much appreciated.
A wonderful and original brunch menu with superb frittatas, ricotta fritters, candied bacon and at the lunch end of brunch, shrimp & grits and some jazzy pastas. The spiced cheesecake with pears poaching in red wine was spectacular.
Amazing food, our waiter was the bomb and curated the whole experience for us.
Wonderful. One of our favorites.
Food and service were impeccable. We had 2 baby girls with us and the restaurant was extremely accommodating. Great birthday celebration!
My wife and I had our anniversary dinner here and couldn't have asked for a better experience. From the outstanding service to the delicious food (black spaghetti omg), it was an amazing experience. 11/10 would recommend.
We had come as a couple several times and have always enjoyed the food and service. Tonight we came with our two daughters for their 28th and 31st birthday. Again, the servers have always been a pleasure and we enjoyed the 4 or 5 starters we choose and as always the pastas. They made a special dessert for our non dairy daughter that she loved. Thanks, 246 for making an enjoyable evening for us!
