The Italian experience here was amazing. The service, drinks, and food were divine. Definitely will be back again!!
Great food. Great service. Will definitely return!
The black spaghetti and lamb bolognese were amazing!
I definitely recommend trying 246. I have been here numerous times and the service is typically top notch and the food is always delicious.
Made a special request for a specific table when I made the reservation... it was ignored and I had to remind the hostess. It appeared as though the server had too many tables as we had to ask other staff to refill coffee, he never brought sweetener to the table with original round of coffee, nor did he ask...we got it from another server, we asked for pepper for our Carbonara and it never showed. He would go away and never come back. We had wave the credit card in the air to get our check. This is our 3rd visit... might be the last.
Excellent food and great ambiance for a birthday/valentine dinner!
Great intimate environment with amazing food. Their variety of dishes allows for your pallet to be satisfied, but yet intrigued by the taste. Cocktails are up to par as well. Highly recommend.
We have been going to no 246 for Valentine's Day for quite a few years now. It is a tradition that my husband and I have. In fact, we go to no. 26 for several special occasions. This time, our experience was particularly lackluster. The first course was rough -- the cold, salty, fishy lobster bisque was the first turn-off. For the second and third courses, the various waitresses brought out the wrong dishes -- twice. We were told by one of the waitresses that a manager would be by to speak to us. That never happened. Someone walked by quickly and dropped off another wrong dish. When they finally brought out our correct dishes, everything was cold and unenjoyable. Because of our proximity to other guests (the place was packed for Valentine's Day), we didn't want to keep complaining, especially because it seemed everyone in the restaurant was just too busy to care. However, the people sitting t our left and our right were both complaining about their experience. They also received the wrong food (and everyone complained about the fishy lobster bisque). Service was dry and inadequate. The food was mediocre at best. The experience left much to be desired. This was a disheartening experience, and my husband and I don't plan to return for any more of our special occasions. It seems the new management misses the mark completely.
Mind blowingly delicious. Had a 4 course meal for two and was floored at how good the food really was. Would rate 14/10 if possible. If you’re still on the fence about going, then you should just go to McDonalds and then cry about your life choices afterwards.
Absolutely fantastic. I have been living in the Atlanta area for two years now and during that time I have visited (and frequented) some of the top restaurants in the area. I find that "no. 246" has now taken the top spot on my list of "must dine at restaurants" in Atlanta.
no. 246 has my highest recommendation
nicely prepared and presented items. The pasta was delicious. Service great
Ariana was amazing!! Chef Dave is the best!! They both made our anniversary unforgettable.
No. 246 has always been a good time for my wife and me. We first went there on the recommendation of a friend for Valentine's Day 2019 and fell in love from the experience. We went back to celebrate an early Valentine's Day and our dating anniversary, which happened within a week of Valentine's Day. Casey was our waiter this time and was one of the most charming, personable, and professional waiters we've had the pleasure of meeting. The food was cooked to perfection, the flavors of the meals exquisitely balanced, and the drink recommendations did not disappoint. For those that are on the fence about checking this place out, in the words of Shia LaBeouf, "Just Do It!"
Katie was an exceptional host and could not have been more accommodating for our birthday dinner. So happy we went and will be back again for sure.
Went there for my wife's birthday. Everything was really good! A bit noisy, but we did go at a peak time, so what are ya gonna do? Definitely a fun place to eat and hang with friends!
This was great food, and even better service - hope to be able to visit again!!
Love the food at 246! My friend from NYC also loved her pasta. Always excellent and I will be back. I also love that they are dog friendly.
Food and service was amazing as always. One of our favorite diving experiences in atl
Excellent food and great service - will absolutely be back, and will look forward to it!
As always great fresh flavorful food. Salad and fresh pasta with a great cocktail made for another memorable experience at 246!
One of my favorite Italian restaurants anywhere. Every dish is outstanding, service top notch, atmosphere fun without being crazy loud, prices are reasonable given the quality. I make sure to stop there every time I am in Atlanta.
Great experience . Very friendly staff and service . Food was fantastic and high quality . Get the spaghetti and meatballs :)
Had a great time celebrating my birthday. The staff was friendly and the food was delicious. Will definitely return VERY soon.
No. 246 is one of our favorite restaurants. The food is great, but most importantly, Zach is our favorite person in the restaurant business. He is so friendly, thoughtful, and caring, and I would give him 6 stars if I could.
Extremely professional and courteous staff! Amazing food and cocktails!
My favorite Italian restaurant in Atlanta! We had Katie who had so many recommendations for us. She was a complete joy. The food is also stellar but duh. Ford Fry never disappoints. Can’t recommend it enough!!
Atmosphere and service always great—food is hit-or-miss. Meatball is next-level, it is so tender and flavorful. Salad was drowned in dressing, though, and carbonara was greasy. Potato side was heavy but crispy and delicious.
The hostess was very nice from the first contact of calling and pushing the reservation back a half hour. Then the GPS took us to a different location and I call for exact area and she gave great directions. The food was very good and the waitress was amazing and welcoming. She answered all our questions and resolved any problems we had as well which was very minor. The atmosphere very social and upbeat. Love the look of the place. It’s very spacious and comfortable but looks very small from the outside. I plan on returning next time with my girlfriend to celebrate her birthday soon.
Last Saturday night we ate wonderful food there, but we felt very disappointed with the overall experience. Our table, with a reservation, was placed in the doorway between the bar and main dining room. We were in the way, with a constant wave of people jostling by our table. It’s always loud there, but it was made louder due to our table’s awkward placement. A nice table by the window emptied five minutes after we sat down. We will be back, but I’m going to specify which table. I pity the poor people that get stuck in the doorway.
Very noisy: difficult to hear people on the other side of the table without leaning across. Crowded: servers (and customers?) bumped into the back of my chair all night (1 1/2 hours). Have had fantastic meals, to include parties, at 246 before, but this didn’t meet my expectations. But I’ll be back, just maybe not for a Saturday night party.
Great pinot noir!
Another great time at 246. We had the black spaghetti and spaghetti and meat balls The olive appetizer is also wonderful. Enjoyed working with Zach.
The BEST cacio de Pepe in Atlanta!!!! No lie, hands down, no one makes this pasta dish anywhere close to no. 246! The drinks were delicious, we chose to dine at the bar for the ambiance at most restaurants, the bar service was top notch. We also enjoyed two of my favorite apps, the meatball & the baked ricotta. I can’t tell you how many times I have recommended this restaurant to anyone asking about food Italian food. I used to drive in from Alpharetta to enjoy this gem, now that I live intown I have the pleasure of enjoying it more often.
I'll keep coming back for the black spaghetti! Definitely not for the faint of heart (they can get a little heavy-handed with the olive oil...) but the combo of sweet, shrimp, fresh-made squid ink pasta, chilies, garlic and pesto is 👌👌👌 Takes me straight to Sicily.
Our most recent visit to No. 246 was especially rewarding. The sea bass entree was perhaps the best meal we’ve ever enjoyed at No. 246, with perfectly crisped skin, a delicious sauce, and an excellent wine pairing. Zach was friendly and attentive, and went out of his way to ensure our party of four enjoyed a great pre-theater dining experience.
Amazing food and service. Will return. The Caesar salad was the best I've ever had.
Zach was a great waiter and the food was delicious! Made the birthday celebration memorable!
We dined at no 246 as a celebration meal for a family birthday and this was expressed on the reservation. The food was quite good. We ordered
Meatballs, which were very good but it would have been nice to have more bread which I requested but it never came...
Winter citrus salad- delicious!
Mushroom arancini- just ok
Fungi pizza- just ok
Black spaghetti- very good
Lamb bolognese- very good
Wood roasted 1/2 chicken- very good
Braised cannellini beans- amazing!!!
The chicken and the beans were definitely the stars!
We shared everything family style. All the starters came out together which was fine. The mains all hit the table at the same time right on the heels of the starters with no space between courses. After that, there were no water refills or offer for more cocktails or wine.
Following dinner, we waited patiently for dessert menus and this took some time. It would have been a good time to offer more wine or cocktails or water but the waiter was busy with other tables... He did bring us a nice round of limoncello to toast the birthday guest!
Dessert was chocolate pudding cake which was good but some ice cream would have been welcome to offset the dense chocolate. The pear Riesling sorbet was mildly flavored and underwhelming.
In summary, the food had some stars but the service was lacking. I know they were busy for the MLK holiday but I was disappointed with the service level, especially for a birthday celebration.
Loved the vibe. The food and service was excellent. Highly recommend
Terrible service. Reservation was at 7:30. Didn’t get seated until 8. Food didn’t come until 9:25pm.
Simply put, this was one of the best Italian meals we've ever had, start to finish. Excellent service, great atmosphere and amazing food. An overall fantastic experience. We will definitely be back.
