Food and drink were excellent. Ambiance was very nice, although music volume could've been turned down a notch. Service was a little slow and not super attentive. Could've caught them on an off day.
Russell did an excellent job serving us and walking us through the menu. Our food was amazing! I ordered the cacio e pepe & my husband got the black spaghetti. We also enjoyed the olives & 246 meatball. Loved everything about 246 & can't wait to come back.
Outstanding as usual the food is great the service is amazing.
First time here and we had amazing food and service!
we travel into town for business twice a year. A stop at 246 is always a priority.
service was superb!
Good spacing and covid protocols in place. Delicious food and drinks. The branzino was amazing!
New Year’s Eve fixed price dinner with wine pairing. Loved it!
We had one of the best, if not THE BEST times on NYE at 246. Not only was the food amazing so was the service with Lindsey and Jonathan. We are Decatur regulars and frequent 246 when possible. What a great menu and evening! Thanks to all.
Great spot! Everything was super fresh and delicious!
Food was top notch as always. We sat outside and they were accommodating of putting us near a heat lamp which was really nice.
The outdoor patio space is great! They even had a bonfire going which made it even more cozy. The service was very good and the drinks were ok. The black spaghetti puttanesca was just average. The temperature of our food was not warm enough considering we were outside in the winter. Overall the experience was OK. Not a place I would hurry back to if I’m really hungry. They were strict about COVID precautions and I saw all employees wearing masks. I was very happy to see that. Maybe I’ll try something different to eat next time.
We thoroughly enjoyed our meal last night!! From the time we walked in to the time we walked out, we felt so safe! Their COVID precautions were one of the best that we’ve seen in ATL! The waiter was very knowledgeable on the menu (food and drinks). And the food was amazing! I ordered the cacio e pepe and it was perfect! We’ll be back during our next visit to atlanta!
Great food, definitely recommend the chocolate pudding cake for dessert. The service was a bit slow, but overall very good. The outdoor seating was amazing. No. 246 has done a great job with following the proper COVID-19 guidelines.
I believe our waiters name was Russel. HE WAS AMAZING!!!
Overall, it was am amazing experience. Our table was relatively well socially distanced, but these days I'd always lean towards "more distance is better". We've started coming here once a month for our "anniversary" date. We will absolutely be back.
We had a great experience!! The food was FANTASTIC!! Our server was great, totally recommend!!!
This place was amazing. Food was amazing, service was amazing, and the Resturant was beautiful. We felt safe and socially distanced from other guests. We will absolutely be back.
Thank you for your kind words Patrice. We really appreciate you dining with us here at no.246.
Absolutely delicious! Perfect ambiance, super cute and chic. Open kitchen is always a great touch. Pretty bar. Service was awesome. Must go if you get the chance!
Excellent dinner date and I felt safe with their covid19 precautions!
Excellent food and great service. The meals for two is a large family portion, love it!
Delicious food and excellent service!
We arrived at the restaurant Saturday night to find a sign that they were closed for the evening. We did not receive a cancellation call or email. I hope all is well with their staff.
I showed up for my reservation and the restaurant was closed.
I even confirmed the reservation the day before.
My wife and I were really not happy about this as you might imagine.
This is not a restaurant I'll ever visit again.
Solid experience. Service was friendly but a little uncoordinated / awkward with timing of dishes and delay getting drinks from the bar. Overall good experience though and plan to go again.
Favorite restaurant in Atlanta! They have such amazing food and cocktails, and the service is always on point.
246 is one of my favorite restaurants. Great food, great service, and delicious drinks. And a beautiful restaurant.
My margarita pizza was burnt and did not taste well at all. I have not been back in years, due to ordering the same pizza and it was not good so I thought I would try again. I won’t be back. There are better pizza places in downtown Decatur.
I’m a long time 246 diner, ever since Clark was hired to build the wine menu. I used to say this was my favorite restaurant in Atlanta, and due to COVID I’ll let them keep that title for now. But the food is not what it once was.
I brought my mother, visiting from out of town, and my pregnant fiancée for a nice early Sunday dinner. Menu was familiar, even though I had to look at it on my phone (I’m big on putting the phone away when at the table). But as soon as the apps hit the table I knew something was up.
The cheesy bread (yeah I know that should have been the first warning) came with Ranch. Like is this the pizza shop? We got unsolicited Ranch dressing going down?
Our three entrees were the black spaghetti with shrimp for my mother, vegetarian spaghetti marinara for the baby mama, and rigatoni Bolognese for myself. Most importantly, baby mama was very happy.
However, I didn’t care for my dish. Too much fennel, or caraway, or something in the dish. It’s Italian sausage so I didn’t hold it against them. I’m sure it was a great dish, but not for me.
Then my mothers black spaghetti with shrimp was just simply bad. Came out looking like a stew and smelling like old fish. It’s terrible because I’d had a variation of that dish a year ago and it rocked my world. Back then it was less sauce, more garlic, more better.
I guess it was really the two pasta dishes that broke my heart. Atmosphere was pleasant as always. Server Elizabeth was exceptional, 100% performance. Even the SA was helpful.
Probably still my favorite restaurant, but now I’ve gotta say Amalfi when asked for the best Italian food around.
Very rude. Made a reservation for 11:00 pm for my anniversary because I worked late that night and when we got there less than 5 minutes after 11, they were very rude and turned us away.
Loved everything! It was my sister’s birthday and all the servers gave her a card!
We continue to argue over if we love the food or service more at 246 - y’all hit it out of the ballpark every time!
I love 246!! The food is always to die for and the wine list is superb. I like how they have them categorized by flavor profiles. This was my first time for dinner, my husband, daughter and I usually go for brunch. Dinner was amazing. I highly recommend coming!!
Management is unresponsive to common sense requests and service was quite lacking. One server for at least 7 tables outside. Food prices have increased at least 20% and this get is starting to lose its luster.
The food was excellent but wish we had a better waiter! I am not a complainer but we were there celebrate my husband's birthday and I was hugely disappointed with our waiter. The waiter refused to take out picture due to covid, which I understand except he had no problem picking up our silverware, wine glass, etc.. He was no help on what to order (no suggestions) and when we ordered a dessert we told him we were looking for something to share (4 of us) so we asked about (what we though was like a tiramisu) was instead vanilla ice cream with a shot of espresso, so why bring plates for it when it was like a mini Espresso float? Horrible! And I also thought they might bring my husband an extra treat for his birthday like most restaurants do. I really wanted this to be special but was very disappointing. The waiter next to us was extremely upbeat and friendly, I'm sure that would have changed how I felt about the restaurant. Like I said, the food was excellent, just bad experience on the rest. Maybe he was having a bad day or hates his job. But for a "not so cheap meal", sure was disappointing.
Our server Jes was great! Enjoyed the baked ricotta and the chicken marsala as well as the cocktails.
Great food. Their COVID precautions were perfect. The tables were spaced out and all the staff wore masks. Everything was delicious.
Great service!
Patio dining felt very safe. They have wipes outside to clean off the ping pong paddles before you play, and require masks if you leave your table. Food was delicious, as always.
Delicious food as always, and the patio is lovely.
Excellent fresh cooked and house made food, and great wine list! Appreciated the adherence to COVID precautions as well!
