   We celebrated our 5th wedding anniversary and the staff, from hostess to waiting were very welcoming and friendly. The food was excellent and our waiter did an amazing job of making suggestions for wine and after dinner “tonics”, like Limoncello and Amari. It was a wonderful experience! We’ll be back for sure.

   No. 246 was absolutely delicious - hands down the best italian I have had since living in atlanta. Great food at a great value, the hostesses and servers were also very friendly and gave great suggestions on food/beverage options. I will absolutely be returning!

    I love 246 so much that I went two nights in a row (Friday and Saturday), and both were great. I had had an issue before with getting our reserved table on time, but that clearly was an anomaly. Both nights this weekend we had impeccable service and amazing food. Lindsey went above and beyond to make sure that everything was perfect, and I have no complaints. Go to 246 and order the cheesy bread (or honestly anything on the menu), and have a wander through the wine menu!

    The ambiance was lovely. We sat outside in the covered patio. The outdoor heater worked well and kept us comfortable. The food was okay. We ordered the garlic bread which was a little too charred for our taste. The ricotta was good and the bread that it come with was delicious. We ordered two pastas (pomodoro and spicy rigatoni)which were most definitely over priced. The waiter was kind and attentive. For two appetizers, two pastas, and 4 nonalcoholic drinks are total was $100 which is a lot !

    Food was AMAZING and I had a great time catching up with old friends even though the restaurant was sometimes distractingly loud and our waiter seemed constantly annoyed by us. The wine helped us ignore the negatives!

    As soon as we walked in, the music was energetic, the staff moving around with a sense of urgency, and the crowd was lively. Our server was entertaining, enguaging, and informative. The food was great, the meatball app, pizza, and black spaghetti were phenominal.

    Our waitress Ashley was fantastic, beautiful smile. We have lived in Chicago and Boston, 246 food is as good as the best Italian restaurants in either city. Nice to have Atlanta have 5star Italian food. It’s the best

    It was my wife’s birthday. Nothing was bad, but when the food arrived it was warm approaching lukewarm so it didn’t seem as fresh as our past visits. Still good food, but not the way I’d prefer it to come to my table at a restaurant.

    Date night at No. 246 for my Birthday. Service was exceptional. Cory was very knowledgeable and helped make our evening one to remember. Absolutely recommend the garlic bread! It is the best garlic bread I have ever had. The EVOO gelato and tiramisu were great as well. This is a great spot for a date night for a special occasion, but be prepared to spend some money as it is quite pricey.

    246 never fails to satisfy! Service was once again flawless, the pasta and pizzas are the best in Atlanta, and the wine list satisfies any palate. We continue to be amazed that it took so long to visit this Decatur 'jewel" and are already planning our next visit! Thanks for another enjoyable time! P.S. Love tables 1 and 2 by the window!!

    Second trip to No. 246 as new Atlantans and it’s the sophomore trip that usually knocks a little of the initial love fest off its pedestal. Not here, however. Friendly bar service and the food was as delicious as the first visit. Tonight it was a caesar salad to start (Mexican actually in its origins but now somehow a frequent dish on Italian menus) and the fritto misto. In lieu of romaine the green was, I think either chicory or kalette (look it up) and dressed to perfection and topped with bouquerones (Spanish anchovies). The fritto misto was just as good as the first time with calamari rings expertly breaded and the sweet orange peppers whose citrusy-pepper flavor reminded me of biquinhos from Brazil. For me nothing but a good red gravy for dipping will do and No. 246’s is about the tastiest I’ve ever had in a restaurant. My only wish was that the Cacio e Pepe was a little less creamy- at my favorite Roman restaurant of the same name and that my Zia Silvana in Rome makes- there’s never a puddle of sauce in the bottom of the bowl; they add just enough pasta water to make the sauce stick to every bit of pasta. As well, though the garlic and oil flavors of the scampi were delicious, I wouldn’t have minded if the gamberetti themselves were a little meatier in size, maybe U-15s. Though I am supposed to eat as little gluten as possible I couldn’t resist running a couple of small pieces of their bread through the scampi sauce, especially when it’s this good. Speaking of “senza glutine” we opted for the gluten free penne and it was really, really good and made me wonder if it was the brand Rummo. They make the best GF pastas and they do it coincidentally in the small Italian city of Benevento in Campania which just happens to be the city where mia madre è nata e cresciuta. During dinner I spotted one of my favorite amaros, Ciociaro on a shelf and finished dinner off with a shot over a big cube with a little squeeze of lime. Una cena squisita!
