Easy to find with an exceptional wait staff. Our entire party enjoyed their meal, and all agreed that it will be added to our "favorites" list!
Being here at Ninos tuscan steakhouse was an amazing experience. The manager greeted us at the door and seated us. The food here is amazing. I got the rib eye medium and my gf got the veal which wasn't as good as my steak but still good. The service was excellent but the food did take a while to come they had a huge party which would explain it and the manager even came over to apologize but overall amazing experience.
"Nino's Tuscany Steak House" is a magnificent restaurant. Honestly I am a bit hesitan to write to much about it out of fear that more people will discover this wonderful place. It is a truly an oudstanding Italian Steak House we'll worth the price. All the best to management, chef, waiters and kitchen staff.
The food tasted great, however entree portion sizes were closer to what I would think of as an appetizer. Wasn't necessarily just that it came off as a little pricey for the quantity, but more so that the amount of food was insufficient to qualify as an entree.
Server was oddly quiet. Never suggested any drinks or food items. This seemed strange as over the course of our meal, other servers could be heard making suggestions in a friendly manner. When a server (not our primary one) asked if we wanted anything else, I asked for the dessert menu. He brought main server back and he asked "You had a question about the desserts?" Eventually I got him to tell us the names of the desserts verbally (though he provided no descriptions or adjectives). Overall it just seemed strange (and frankly it was off putting).
The only thing I'm going to remember from Nino's is the arrogant Maitre D who spoke too fast and didn't like to answer questions.
My boyfriend and I had Christmas dinner at Nino's. The owner checked us in and I told him we booked it through open table. I later found out that he did not check us in and Open Table sent me an email stating that I was a no show. Anyway, back to the dinner, the waiter took our order, we asked for one appetizer, but instead got two and they were not the appetizers we wanted. When we told the waiter, he became very defensive.
The atmosphere at Nino's was very intense. The owner micromanaged the staff and they looked visibly scared. I did not feel comfortable and the waiter was not friendly once we told him about the mistake. The food is average. I would not recommend this restaurant based on my dinning experience.
I absolutely loved it here! Everything was perfect! The tuna is a must try! The staff is just great and very welcoming! Everybody makes you feel like you are a VIP! We had the scampi alla piastra as an appetizer and it was beyond tasteful! I'm going here again and soon!
Our server was very attentive and told us the specials of the day my gilrfriend and I share a Cesar salad made at the table and for my main i got the gnocchi on a creamy sauce and she order a Dover sole prepare at the table on a w. wine sauce.
Exelent I definetly recomen this place
The food was amazing. The wine list was great, and wine taste spectacular!
having travelled in Tuscany we get excited when we see a menu with Tuscan specialties, so it was a no-brainer when we saw Ribolito on the menu. We booked a pre-Carnegie Hall dinner. Upon entering we realized we had fell for this once before, and did not like the food then either. The Ribolito which is supposed to be a hearty vegetable soup (almost a stew) thickened by bread was a watery, almost tasteless broth with vegetables and no bread. My linguine con vongole was a salt lick that could have brought the deer down from the woods. My husband's meat sauce was tasty so if you are forced to eat here stick to that. The best thing was a plate of biscotti which I would order to go and serve to company. Unfortunately, the tea that was ordered to go with it was not delivered till way after we had asked for our check and were getting ready to leave. Trying to get the check was an ordeal and we just made the curtain. Hopefully, next time I will remember.
love ninos properties and when in NYC , always a great choice
I took a friend there for dinner for her birthday and the food, service and atmosphere were incredible! It was nice not only being able to see the menu and what I was eating - lighting consisted of more than just a small votive candle on the table - but also not having to yell across the table in order to have a conversation - 2 things that are much too common in restaurants today. We had the lobster bisque soup which was very good, she had the osso bucco and I had the seafood pasta. Both dishes were amazing!!! We are definitely going to come back (even if it's not an occasion) and if people are looking for a good Italian restaurant with good portions and not expensive, we're sending them to Nino's.
I found this restaurant on line because it was located near my hotel. It got good ratings and looked like it had a nice variety of selections. The food was very good, but the wait staff was a bit inattentive. We asked one of the busboys for our entrees as we had been waiting for a good bit and didn't see our waiter. And when we were done I had to flag down our waiter to bring the check. The restaurant was not 100% capacity so I don't believe the waiter was overwhelmed, just not very interested in my party of 3 ladies.
Very nice. Staff traets newcomers like old friends!
My wife and I like to go to New York for vacation. One of the the things I like about going there is to try new experiences. Nino's was a shot in the dark on our part, and it was excellent. It is conveniently located on 58th St, so it is a short walk to theaters, Central Park and Rockefeller Center. The food was excellent, and the service just the right level of attentiveness. The restaurant is small, but in my opinion, made it better. It was fairly quiet,
We will defintly be going there again.
Disappointed - bland salad tough shrimp, tough chicken, late
dessert that we sent back.
It was a nice dinner menu, the reception, atmosphere, and wine list were all above average from my point of view. However, as we were dining, and considering not all at the same pace, the waiters kept clearing and seemed eager to have us finish the course. At one point one waiter was so eager that he reached across and took a plate and inadvertently dropped a knife on my plate while I was cutting my viand. I felt 'hurried' and made the dining uncomfortable.
I visit New York City two three times a year. This was my second visit to Nino's. The food and service was outstanding. The wait staff was very attentive. The piano music was a treat. The general manager Benny stopped by our table two times to make sure everything was acceptable. At the end of our meal, Benny offered us complimentary after drinks which was a total surprise and much welcomed. I will return next time I'm in New York city.
The waiters could not do enough for us. First class. Particularly enjoyed the polpettini with lemon and rosemary.
We had originally planned to eat at Keen's Steakhouse after the theater, but it was impossible to get a reservation there early on a Sunday evening. Instead, based entirely on positive reviews, we tried Nino's Tuscan Steakhouse. It turned out to be a wonderful discovery. The place doesn't have the physical charm of Keen's (the historical sense of old New York), but the food was just as good. We tried the filet mignon and a fish special--and, honestly, the food couldn't have been better. It was not cheap, but it was worth it: superbly cooked. The staff was attentive and courteous. The terrible music playing when we entered was switched to classical without our asking, and the restaurant was quiet and intimate. We would definitely return. An excellent find--and perfect location (on 58th) for a dinner after the show at City Center. I recommend it without hesitation.
Food was great as was service. Dinner took too long as we were there two hours and not good if you are going to play!!! Will absolutely be back.
Exelent place for a date
we start the evening with a glass of wine montepulciano semidry medium to fullbody antipasto for the table and oysters Rockefeller and for our main
A bottle of gavi with home made pasta and mixed seafood and a Dover sole oswaldo one of our servers even show me how to filet My fish at home using a fork an a spoon.
over all a wonderfull expirience thanks we'll be back
Reservation for 3 at 7:00, we showed up in time, we got seated at 7:30. (The group ahead of us had been waiting 30 min. and were threatening to walk out when the hostess finally seated them.) Appetizers were prompt, but the main course arrived at about 9:15 pm - which may explain why open tables don't materialize when needed. The decor and the staff created a nice, refined white-tablecloth vibe ... and then the keyboard player/DJ fired up his kit. No quiet conversation here; we ended up talking loudly, in order to be heard over bad karaoke-like renditions of stale pop songs, with a smattering of butchered nighclub standards thrown in for good measure. Talk about incongruity - it was like a Monty Python sketch. Food, btw, was excellent.
Love that you can get the pasta entrees in appetizer sized portions. Perfect for the girl who is watching her figure but still wants to eat pasta!
We had a small family get together of 20 people. Food and service was great! Waiters were fast and professional. No problems at all. I think this restaurant was the perfect place and the treatment we received spectacular!
This was my first time at Nino's Tuscany and I brought a group of ten here on a Thursday night mostly due to its proximity to Carnegie Hall and based on other restaurant reviews. We were all completely thrilled with the restaurant, the service and the incredible food. Everyone loved their dishes, and each of us ordered different entrees so we had a good representation of the overall menu. Appetizers were exceptional, the antipasto was served with dramatic flair. Serving sizes were perfect and service was friendly and flawless. Sorry we had no time to try the desserts. Planning another visit in in a few weeks! Happy to have found this gem.
My husband and I went to Nino's Tuscany randomly for the first time, and we were pleasantly surprised! The ambiance was "local neighborhood" feel; the food was excellent; the portions large; and the service was very attentive without being intrusive. We definitely will put this restaurant in our rotation of favorites!
We took our parents here to celebrate their 60th anniversary after having had a wonderful experience three weeks prior. The food is excellent and the service is very attentive without being intrusive. They added a few special "treats" to our dinner and had the piano player congratulation my parents with a song. Benny and his staff were fabulous. We travel in from NJ frequently and Nino's is now on our list of regulars!
We go to Nino's Tuscany as often as we can...and we are never disappointed. The service was very slow this time, which is unusual, especially for a Tuesday night. But the food and the piano music made up for the slow service. We will be back!
Great little place. Went for our anniversary and it did not disappoint. Good quality food, piano player, decent prices.
