This place is fantastic. Hands down the best chicken dish I have ever eaten. The atmosphere is very inviting, the food outstanding and the service top of the line. Our waiter, Christian, could not have been better. Attentive, recommended a fantastic wine, gave a great presentation of the food and ordering, and very attentive. We were given some great recommendations for appetizers and dinners, with all being superb. All four of us had a great dining experience. I will be back for sure and highly recommended this restaurant to others.

The restaurant was quiet and we were seating right away. Our waiter Christian was very attentive and helpful answering questions we had regarding our food. He checked up on us frequently and always so polite and pleasant.
I ordered fried calamari that was likely breaded and came with spicy sauce that was super delicious. For entree we ordered salmon which was cooked to perfection and served with creamy mashed potatoes. To finish off we ordered tiramisu which was divine. We also ordered sangria which Christian made specifically for us and was delicious! I'm definitely recommending this restaurant as one of my favorites!

I had a great lunch with my work team at Nino's. The food was very good, reasonably priced and served in a timely fashion. Also, the atmosphere was very good! We chose to order off of the lunch prefix menu which was a great choice if you have a group. I strongly recommend it!

I found my chicken dish on the salty side. Service was below average. It felt like the busboy was serving as a waiter. But they added a 20 percent tip to the bill for a table of four, a first in my lifetime of dining experience. Not a surprise that the restaurant was 70 percent empty on a Friday evening.

I have been going there for many years and the food has always been so good! If you're looking for a great Italian restaurant that doesn't have small portions and big prices, this is the place. The portions are big and more than worth the price. From appetizer to dessert, I have never had a bad meal and have always recommended Nino's to people. It's a great place for a special occasion or just to have a great dinner.

Nino's used to be a go to place for an annual dinner with a special group of friends. However, this year the place really seems to be losing its luster. Service was just ok, the food wasn't nearly as good or as plentiful as in the past, and the only bright spot was seeing Irving, the 100 year and 7 month old piano player. This may be our last dinner there.

We needed a place to have dinner before the theatre. By checking the website we saw that they had a wide-ranging affordable prix-fixe . We were greeted warmly at the door and the food was delicious. Service was efficient. Noise level was low and the tables were spread out so that you couldn't hear others conversations. Nino's is an old-fashioned (in a good way) Manhattan restaurant. It is a not a trendy hip restaurant where its just all show and no substance. You walk out saying " Gee I had a good time"

My guest and I really enjoyed dinner at Nino's Tuscany. When we entered the restaurant we immediately remembered that we had dined there before and were thrilled to be back. The pianist wasn't playing that night but that was okay. We were greeted by Sylvia who was very pleasant and very happy to see us. She made us feel very welcomed at Nino's. Our table was perfectly placed in the restaurant and we could see around in the entire restaurant. We both ordered from the restaurant special prix fixe menu and when I tell you the choices were great, I couldn't decide what to order. I decided to have the antipasto for my appetizer and every bite was perfect. I had the pasta Bolognese for my entrée and thoroughly enjoyed it as well. Of course for dessert what else, but tiramisu, oh my goodness, one of the best I've ever had. I highly recommend that everyone visit Nino's Tuscany during restaurant week or any other time. Sylvia and her staff will treat you like kings and queens and you will feel like you've been transferred to a fine dining restaurant in Italy. It was amazing and I am definitely going there again with many friends so they can have the wonderful dining experience that I had. I thank Nino's Tuscany for a great dining experience and I thank Open Table for allowing me to make reservations that always turn out perfectly.

I have read some quite negative reviews for Nino's Tuscany but have to disagree, ultimately anyone can have a bad dining experience but we have eaten here maybe 4 times and have always received excellent service and great food. Their menu choices during this past restaurant week have been the most extensive of any other restaurant, you really were spoilt for choice.
My husband started with the cold meats and cheese, a very good portion as an appetiser and I had the meatballs, served with a delicate lemon sauce flavoured with garlic - the sauce is a winner for sure, I made sure to mop it up with some bread. My main dish was baked salmon, perfectly cooked which came with a lemon and caper sauce - again I was delighted to have some bread to mop up the sauce. My husband opted for the chicken dish, served with Italian sausage and there was nothing left on his plate, very tasty indeed. My husband was really happy with the tiramisu he opted for dessert, it was not soggy as you can sometimes find and disappeared in a flash. I had the chocolate gelato, two scoops of delicious, creamy chocolate gelato, a really good finish to a delicious meal. We will definitely be returning for more delicious food.

My wife and I totally enjoyed dinner at Nino's. The servers were absolutely attentive. The ambiance is very nice. There were a number of items that we ordered which were prepared table side, a lost art in Manhattan. We felt very special.

We dine at Nino's most times we come to New York, and we've never been disappointed. It's convenient to midtown hotels, has served us consistently good food, and the service has always been friendly. My wife and I find it intimate enough for a dinner for two, but we've had equally good luck hosting larger groups there. Definitely recommended.

muy buen atencion, aunque al llegar nos sacaron por que llegamos 15 min antes de la reservacion, y tuvimos que esperar fuera de el restaurante mientras se llegaba la hora. el lugar muy bien los meseros muy bien la recepcionista muy bien, en platillos pues algunos muy buenos y otros no tanto pero en general el lugar esta agradable.

We went to Nino's for New Year's Eve. I read about the restaurant on open table and the restaurant's web site. It seemed like a good fit for our family of four. When making our dinner reservation that afternoon, I noticed that some restaurants indicated they would have special/limited menus for New Year's Eve. Nino's web site did not. We arrived at the restaurant and were seated by a hostess, who was not very welcoming. We were handed our menus and that is when we noticed the limited availability. The server heard us discussing that the full menu wasn't available and told us that it was a limited menu due to New Year's Eve and the kitchen being short-staffed. We ordered two appetizers, four entrees, and three alcoholic drinks. We were stunned when our bill arrived and it was $500.00. We asked our server about it and he explained that the menu had special pricing that night ($99.00 a person, flat fee, plus drinks). We paid the bill feeling we had no choice and left. As we stood outside, we saw a menu posted on a window with special pricing description. It looks like the pricing may have included a selection from each course (app, entree and dessert), and music/entertainment for the evening. Had we known this, we may have stayed there to ring in the new year. As it was, we left feeling very stunned and paying entirely too much for our dinner. Neither the hostess nor the server mentioned this pricing to us. We had to find out on the bill. I think this is poor on the restaurant - especially because two people in our party are 12 and under. It was not a good value at all.

This was our second trip: the first time was a pleasant surprise but after our recent meal we vowed never to go back. Everyone was very friendly but also very forgetful -- it took nearly an hour for our order to be taken and even longer for us to get bread for the table (which strained the patience of our small child), and nearly everything we ordered was missing ingredients listed (bread soup without bread, for instance). The biggest disappointment might have been when the main dishes arrived without any vegetables (which we then had to order separately). Or maybe it was when the very dramatic desserts made at the table got confused (strawberries got mixed up with the gelato so we had one that was all berries and another that was all beige and creamy). Given all we went through I thought they would have taken a few items off our bill, but instead they even charged us for extra soups they gave us accidentally. (That my husband argued about.) Not sure what was going wrong, but it felt like a very expensive mistake to go rather than a fun splurge.

The food was fantastic. We had the prixe fixe menu before a show at Carnegie Hall. It was a great value, great food and beautiful presentation. The staff were attentive and very, very nice. I would definitely recommend and return to have another meal.

A group of 4 adults and 4 preteens. We were at the Museum of Natural History. We made the reservations at 1:00 pm for 2:30 pm on the same day, Friday. They sat us immediately and took care of all 8 of us in short order. They even split the entres. Great food. Great service. Great Italian place!

We reserved a table for 2 for 7:15pm. When we arrived there was a bit of a confusion, many people with reservations, but no tables empty yet. We waited until approx. 8pm at the bar and then we were brought to our table - cool. The bar was anyway a nice place to be. The food we selected was delicious - well wort the wait. Bottom line - making reservations is necessary, but don't get upset when it takes a bit of time. Anyway, the quality and taste of the food was worth the wait...great place, with very kind service. Although sometimes a bit confused - keep cool and enjoy.

We've been going to Nino's Tuscany for many years but not for the food, because you can get better food in many Italian steakhouses. We go to see 100 year old Irving Fields, composer, charmer and pianist, play the piano there, three nights a week.

We went there Wednesday night as the guest of our good friend, who also admires Irving, but lives in California now, and seldom gets a chance to see him. It happened to be my husband's birthday, and another friend of ours called Nino's and pre-purchased dessert and after dinner drinks for the three of us, and charged it to her card, as a birthday present. When the waiter asked what we wanted for dessert, and we said we didn't want anything, he told us that someone already sent it to us, but we should choose what we wanted. We asked who it was, and he said "some lady". We enjoyed dessert and after dinner drinks. When the check came, dessert and drinks were paid for, and our host asked again, to no avail.

It wasn't until two days later, when my friend called me and asked "how our meal was and did we enjoy dessert" did I find out that it was she who paid for it! How embarrassing is that, that we never even called to thank her because we didn't know the gift was from her!!

You can't fully blame the waiter either, because the restaurant had few guests, the hostess is the wife of the owner, Nino, and SHE should have 1-told us and 2- told the waiter. They do not run a professional restaurant at all. No wonder they just closed another one!

My friend and I went there for our annual holiday dinner (we have gone there for the last couple of years). We have also been there for non-occasions and I have taken friends there for birthday celebrations. The food and service are always the best and no matter how crowded it is, you can still have a conversation without yelling across the table. Also, I've always liked the fact that it's not one of those restaurants where you need a flashlight to read the menu and then see what you're eating. From appetizer to dessert, everything I have ever had at Nino's has been amazing!

Great hidden gem for an authentic Italian meal. We didn't have their steaks but they looked incredible. The service was outstanding. They even accommodated my request for a more private table. I had the rigatoni and I could have eaten several bowls as it was the best rigatoni ala vodka I have ever had! My only complaint is that I was drinking Diet Coke because it was the night before the marathon and I couldn't have wine. I assumed they offered free refills. I had three glasses and they charged me $3 for each one. Not very good in my book. Still recommended though.
