Nino's - Atlanta
Nino's is always exceptional. Love the bruschetta!
Its hard to find a very good Italian restaurant these days because most of the "new" corporate type Italian
restaurants have employees who can hardly read and therefore, corporate decides what the patron should eat. Nino's has been around for a long time and I remember Nino's when I was just starting out in life with my first good paying job. That was almost 40 years ago.
I am not one who likes to comes into Atlanta city for dinner because of the traffic, lousy streets, and crime.
Occasionally though, I will make the trip.
The food at Nino's is beyond what I have missed over the years in the REAL ITALIAN FOOD area. I totally dislike food that comes out of a box/bag, get reheated and thrown onto a plate, then to be called "real".
The food at Nino's is the genuine thing. I had a veal dish last night which brought back fond memories with Parma ham, pounded veal so tender, all I needed was a spoon to cut it. My wife spaghetti with meat sauce and meat balls which were so tender a spoon would have done to job of slicing into. The angel hair pasta was just absolutely perfect. We indulged in hazelnut gelato for desert, also very good.
Our server (Mark) did an excellent job which I told him, because everything was so well made, that Nino's regained two customers.
We had a group of eight of us and we were seated in the small private room. The service was fantastic the food was amazing and we had a wonderful time. Can’t wait to go back!
I am afraid that my dinner was made with bad shrimp. I will not order that dish again, as it made me nauseated. Also, the bread on our bruschetta was burned. We have been to Nino's multiple times and love the atmosphere and service - so we will try again.
Old time Italian restaurant with consistently good food! The service is top notch. I felt like we were back in the old time movies when they had many restaurants that were staples like Nino's. Highly recommended for old school Italian!
Amazing food and amazing service, I love this restaurant and will always go back.
Atlanta’s best Italian restaurant . You owe it to yourself to eat here at least once. Tops
I have been there many times and always have a good dinner. I had the linguine with red clam sauce the first time I went and tend to keep ordering it but I 've tasted lots of other items and all have been good.
We enjoyed the food that was authentic Italian. Sat in the tiny bar area and service was okay. Not a ton of atmosphere, just good food. The restaurant was full.
Loved our experience at Nino's! Our waitress, Grace, was the best - the food was incredible - the noise level rose towards the end of our dinner as more people came in to dine - but we will return very soon for another delicious, creative meal. Many thanks, MAH
Nino's is Atlanta's iconic italian restaurant with something for every palate. The food is outstanding, the setting is intimate and the service at times can be spotty, but still above par. This is a family owned restaurant and you'll likely meet one of the family members. It is one of the best italian restaurants in Atlanta.
Always a great meal and always incredible service.
I think I left my debit card with the bill. Still waiting to hear if it’s been located. 806-576-9941
Nino’s is always absolutely delicious! Our neighborhood gem with authentic Italian cuisine. The best almond cake ever too!
Love this place! Food is always great
Service was bad because someone gave 1 waiter the entire patio. Host seated us right by the heat vent. Luckily we could open the patio windows. They are known for their red sauce but I thought it wasn’t remarkable at all. My husband makes better read sauce. If you want great Italian food at reasonable prices, go to Bambinellis.
First, the service: Grace, the waitperson, was outstanding. Friendly smiles, super service and fun! Loved her! Second, the food: wow! This is my first time here and it was an authentic Italian meal! Absolutely delicious from the warm, soft bread to the calamari to the entree and the tiramisu - all of it was fabulous. You must go here for a fantastic dining experience!
The waiter could tell we were on a date and gave us plenty of space. We didn't feel rushed on a crowded night.
We have been going to Nino’s since the late 70’s. We live in Savannah now. Any time we are in ATL, we make it a point to dine here. They NEVER let us down! We also just made our twentieth trip to Italy this fall—-Nino’s is like being back there.
Very slow service. Seemed disorganized.
Great food. Reasonable price. Small quant homey environment.
Sever was the older guy. He wasn’t the most attentive to my younger guests.
Very disappointed in our last visit to Nino’s. Despite reservation, was placed in the small room with another party that was very loud. They used two different waiters for this small space. It took an unusual amount of time just to be waited on. When the food came we were very disappointed as well. My veal parmigiana was over cooked and difficult to eat. The eggplant parmigiana was OK but nothing great. Due to the lack of service, we just ate what we could and left as soon as we finally got the check. As a frequent customer, this is not the norm for this restaurant.
One of our favorite restaurants. Good good and service. They usually will make what you want.
The service is always outstanding, as are the authentic Italian dishes. The atmosphere is cozy, and the restaurant has a neighborhood feeling. We frequently choose Nino's for birthdays and anniversaries partly because they go all out to make it a special occasion.
This is my second time here. This time we were in the main dining room. It was quite noisy and hard to hear our dining guests. The server seemed rushed and I felt he was trying to push us out fast. I ordered an appetizer pasta but got the full meal. The salad was over dressed but tasted nice- not worth the 8$ though. The calamari was crisp but little flavor. As it is a favorite of one of our friends I’m sure I’ll be back but not my first choice.
Simply a splendid dinner! From the bread to the Chicken Parmigiana the meal was superb. I ordered the grilled asparagus as a side and it was prepared to perfection; I'm not even a huge asparagus fan. I finished off my experience with the coconut cake and coffee. An all-around excellent dining event!
Nino’s has no attention to detail or concern for the customer
What a delightful night. Celebrated Nino’s 50 year anniversary with superb food, wine and live music great fun!
Good experience.. we eat here often and you get a good meal
Authentic food, wonderful service, cute environment! Was so happy with the restaurant. We felt like we were in Italy!
Our first anniversary. We had our first date here. Special memories. Thank you Ninos!
The restaurant from reservation until we left made the entire experience special to each of the guests. The food was exceptional as well as the service, I would highly recommend Nino's. They can make any of their dishes with gluten free pasta, which one of my guests were over the moon about as her diet requires it. The wine list made those drinking happy and we all walked out remarking how amazing the service was.
Ninos is our favorite place for Italian. Food is amazing especially the lobster fra diavlo. The new cannoli cake is amazing. We always get great service at Ninos.
This is the the second time at Nino's. The staff at Nino's were friendly and attentive. We had a couple drinks and bottles of wine. All good. 2/3 meals were satisfactory, good... not great. The veal chop was under cooked and tough. Maybe bad meal selection on my part. They've been in business for 50 years, so they must be doing something right. Could have caught the kitchen on a slow night.
An amazing dining experience. I've lived here for years.
Took the wife here and it didn't disappoint! Food was delicious and service was excellent! Awesome Italian cuisine; can't go wrong selecting this spot.
The food was absolutely delicious. Our service was top-notch
I love Nino's! My bf and I came to celebrate his new job. The lighting is intimately dim and the servers are very personable. We had a reservation but it looks like the wait wouldn't have been too long had we not or we could've sat in the bar area. They gave us a cute booth near a wall filled with wine bottles so of course we had to indulge! Wine selection is great and affordable. We enjoyed their baked clams oreganata prior to our meal coming out along with the complimentary bread and bruschetta (all delicious). I enjoyed one of their specials that consisted of salmon with penne pasta tossed in a creamy vodka sauce. I can't remember what he had (lol I was focused on my food) but he enjoyed his dish as well :). Unfortunately, we were too stuffed for dessert but plan on coming back to try it out as well due to the wide variety. If you love Italian you must come here!
Food was excellent, dining experience excellent although our waiter seemed less than thrilled be waiting on us....perhaps it was our mispronunciation of the Italian dishes that irked him. Hey, we tried.
