It was so fun for our kids and us adults enjoyed it as well. Such a great family experience that kept our kinds interested throughout the entire dinner. An amazing concept and over all just an incredible experience for us.
The signature dishes are excellent, stick to those for the fun. The ambiance of being a Ninja village is great, the gastronomy of the dishes has dropped over time but it is still a fun outing for someone new.
Thanks to the friendly waitstaff (and magician) at Ninja! We had a great time.
Our server made this a great experience went over an beyond as this made my daughters birthday truly special! Kiaaaa!
Rooms are secluded, soup tasted like mud water, and salmon is too sweet
We always have so much fun here and the food has always been good. The cocktails are all a little sweet for my taste, but you can always get wine, beer, prosecco, etc. Also try to get there right on time as there isn’t a very good space for waiting. Overall, though, we love this place!
was not what we expected. our server was less then energetic and barely in character. we spent most of the time listening and watching the other tables expirencing the fun of the restaurant. we both had ny strip steak. which was mostly fatty. not worth the money paid.
The experience is always enjoyable with all the scaring and food presentations. The theme is also very nice. The food is nothing to die over, it’s more for the experience of the restaurant.
As for the magic trick part, I would recommend you skip it. Depending on who you get it may be very good or very bad. Which may just leave you and your party in a very awkward moment as the tricks aren’t very good. At the end they ask for a donation, which I had to come prepared for the second time because the first time none of us had cash on us.
The food was truly terrible, even when I set my expectations low from the get go. The only redeeming value was our enthusiastic waiter. Far overpriced for what you get. Can't recommend.
This was a highlight of our family's trip to NYC! The food was pretty good, but the experience was OUTSTANDING!
I had planned on dinner here for a friend visiting from out of town. I had heard it was fun and funny to have "ninja's" attacking you in the restaurant. Needless to say it was funny, however it is an environment that is more geared towards kids/kids birthday's. The servers also seemed to be focusing their entertaining skills on the tables with children. I was there with two other adults, all three of us in our late twenties. The food was fair, the calamari EXTREMELY greasy, however we made the most of our time there. I would recommend to groups with kids, but would not recommend to friends my age or groups of adults. I guess I should have assumed it would be a little cheesy!
Took our children, ages 2- 8, and they loved it. Their only wish was for more ninjas! Food is good, but go for a fun night out.
A fun dining experience! The food and service were both good. Creative decor and presentation.
Huge portions. Awesome atmosphere and concept. Waiter provided amazing service. Pricey but worth it for what you get. I only wish they didn't allow the magician to ask for tips (we would have tipped him anyways) and wish there was refills on drinks since the food is so salty!
Can’t tell you how much I enjoyed this restaurant. Was way more than I had expected. Service and atmosphere was outstanding. Definitely recommend for a unique dining experience when in the city.
We came here to celebrate my friend’s birthday and it was a really great experience. We had 11 people and we were seated in a little private room. The waiters were friendly and super entertaining and it was cool because the food had special presentations (dry ice coming out of the plates, sparklers, etc.). Overall, it was a good dining experience. They even gave the birthday boy a Japanese bandana. Also, the bathrooms are really nice.
I thought the service was excellent, Contacted me via phone to tell me table was ready and did not wait at all for anything.
This was the scariest experience of my life. I’m scarred forever. Headed home to try and make peace with my experience. Perhaps I can drink this trouble away. Enter restaurant with caution. Someone will scare you by shoving a knife into your throat (from behind you!) Also, the magician was very aggressive with asking for tips. And was incredibly frustrated that we could decipher all of his stupid tricks (which needless to say were not innovative at all).
Fun experience little costly but was worth every penny. Kids really enjoyed it and the food was A+.
Very disappointed. We were a group of 5 including 3 18 year olds. Very underwhelming. Did not live up to the hype. And the magic show is about 2 minutes.
Went for my daughters 10th birthday. Make sure to have a reservation on the weekends. We only waited for 3 minutes with a reservation!Fun place for the kids, from the decor of the place to the food presentations to the table side magic show. Everyone was very friendly and the food was delicious!! Pricey but good! Came out very fast and hot
Great Service. Great Food. Great Atmosphere. Great Magicians.
Although I didn’t enjoy the bronzini, my waitress accommodated me and offered the salmon instead which tasted way better. We enjoyed the magician the most.
this was my fourth time at ninja ny, and it always gets better
Ninja NY was a great time! Servers were very nice and Entertaining !
It was a great experience. Definitely recommend this place for kids
Love it the best restaurant
We really enjoyed our dinner at Ninja for my son's 10th birthday. The food was awesome and so were the little interactions they came with. A few cons: the ninjas were just ok in spirits, as soon as I got off the elevator one of them gave me a fake sword stab with a "ha-ya" and it was pathetic. He was so obviously over it. The waiter was just ok too, nothing special to him, he too seemed over it and not that into it as if the whole scaring part is just not that fun to them. We let them know in advance it was for a birthday and they asked anyway as soon as we sat down (with the birthday boy)if there was a birthday. After dinner, they delivered and brought over our very expensive dessert with lit sparklers. They did not ask for his name nor did they care to just stay quiet when it was time to sing to him. They were overall, kind of dry- the wait staff that is. The magic show however, done by Mike Patrick was awesome! He was great with the kids (our whole purpose for the outing) and had us loving him with his magic and humor. Overall, a great experience but of course you're throwing down the $$ for an outing like this, so maybe just kick it up a notch with the actual theme of the restaurant humor guys. The place is awesome!
If you order the 4 course sets, be prepared to have doggy bags to go home. They give you too much food and it makes sense if you are paying a premium of 69$ a set course but its just too much food. I didn't even get to eat my 1lb steak in the end because it was too much food lol
Very animated service. Great for kids. Lots of special effects with your food and drinks
Fantastic, fun and very enjoyable evening! We will visit again.
Aside from the Ninja’s scaring you every 10 minutes. Overall my son and I enjoyed it. It was different.
This was my 3rd time there, but my dates first time and as always the experience was amazing. My date was amazed at the experience and of enjoyed it just as much this time than I did last time.
This is my favorite place to go to for dates or special get togethers. Two words: Magic & Ninjas!
Amazing and fun!
Great service. The waitress made sure we ordered enough for the table and made some recommendations. Drinks were spot on. Happy adults and kids!
It was fantastic! Ninja Ryan was an amazing waiter. My 13-year-old son and 17-year-old daughter loved it, as did I. The food and presentations were terrific. Highly recommend.
Kids were expecting more from the ninjas. A little boring for them. Kids were 7, 9, and 11 yo.
Has a fun time with crazy ninjas in the mix. Good atmosphere & lighting. Friendly staff.
