Somewhat hard to get to, but good free valet parking. Inside is very nice. Decent privacy, tables not too close. Attentive wait staff. Adequate menu options. Service was very good. Food quite tasty, with fairly large portions. We were not hurried. Somewhat expensive, but well worth the cost. We look forward to returning. It is certainly one of the best restaurants in central NJ.

I have dined at Ninety Acres many times. The food is generally good if not overwhelming so. Despite its pretensions Ninety Acres is not a great restaurant. On my last visit my cauliflower soup was good and hot but my trout was tasteless and unremarkable.

However, what I find most distasteful is the service. While the staff is clearly trained they seem to be without passion and go about their job in a perfunctory manner doing what they were trained to do and say. Twice during the meal while there was a pause in actual eating for conversation and with food clearly on our plates the same young women came over to clear our plates from the table. She was clueless.

I've had better meals and better service elsewhere.

I thought the overall experience to be outstanding. I have always enjoyed a 5 star experience, here, and after reading some recent reviews was concerned. Perhaps because it was a Tuesday evening and not as busy as a weekend (by 8 there were still several open tables), the attention to details were great. My choices for the 3 plates for $75 were delicious and very generous for a tasting menu. The fois gras torchon, pan roasted black bass, and the venison were all excellent, as were the by the glass wines that I ordered to pair with them.

Thoroughly enjoyed the tasting menu with some chef friends. The service was great and the food was thoughtfully prepared. While it's expensive, the range of menu items and their presentation made it worth the price.

This is among the finest restaurants in the central jersey area. The level of service is unmatched! Bread basket is worth noting...yum! Each couple shared a appetizer...beet salad and cavatelli with ricotta and tomatoes. We all had the fried chicken with mashed potatoes. The portion was giant...4 pieces each. And so delicious.

We made reservations for a special occasion because we knew this spot was pricey. Although not somewhere we can afford to go regularly it was definitely worth the experience. Awesome staff, delicious food and a great wine and coacktail list. If you're willing to spend the money I highly recommend going here, but make sure to make your reservations well in advance!

Personally, we felt this place was overrated. My husband and I fine-dine out frequently between New Jersey and New York and it this was not nearly what we had expected. I am sure visiting during the summer months & taking in the view would be very grande, but the food was lacking a bit in flavor and although had some unique combinations, we found them to be a bit too eclectic for our taste buds. And, no sophistic scenery or well decorated establishment could replace a mediocre meal experience. Our wine sommelier recommended a wine based on our requests and we were sorely disappointed with the selection ( mind you, it was an $80 bottle - and to be still disappointed?! ) If you are interested in visiting just for the experience, I would suggest ordering pizza's and wine and enjoying the scenery and you will not be let down. We just expected more "wow" factor from the menu. Inside ambience was nice and welcoming & service staff was very attentive - so giving credit where credit is absolutely due!

Had fond memories of dinner a year ago. The food, particularly the beef, was only fair and way to expensive. Appetizers and desert were ok. My cocktail, the last word, was just not crafted properly. Very disappointed but glad the quality of service was excellent.

I took my husband to Ninety Acres for his birthday, along with our son who is in his 20s. It was a first-time for all of us.

Everyone we met along the way was warm and welcoming: the valet at the door, hostess, bartender, wait staff. Our server, greeted us and she immediately acknowledged my husband's birthday, which set the tone nicely. She had just the right amount of check-in with our table and was helpful with our selections. Our dishes were outstanding from appetizers through dessert. I also enjoyed the NJ chardonnay on the menu!

I would highly recommend coming here in the daytime to see the view. We had an evening meal and I would have loved to have seen the surroundings as we drove in.

The dinner was pricey, no doubt. However, it was worth it for this very special occasion.

In town on business, we were looking for a great restaurant, with good atmosphere, high caliber menu and all around superior quality. Ninety acres exceeded on all accounts. We ate and shared the three course meals and felt personally catered to. Every course seemed to exceed the one prior. Phenomenal ambiance and great staff. We even ended up with an Uber driver issue at the end of our night, which the hostess personally called and solved for us. I can't begin to describe how fantastic this night out made our quick business trip to NJ.

The cocktails were very good and the servers were attentive. We had the 3-course prix fixe and the server recommended the sirloin and ribeye for the 3rd course. The first course octopus was very good, the open-faced ravioli (recommended) was bland, 2nd courses of scallops and halibut were delicious, but both 3rd courses were under seasoned and totally lackluster. The sirloin dish consisted of TWO minuscule slices of over-cooked steak—1 of which was an end piece, and a side of frisée, pepper slices and some kind of mashed root vegetable. The ribeye dish consisted of 3 under seasoned slices of beef. We will not be returning.

We were seated by 9:20 for a 9:00 reservations, 1/4 of the restaurant was empty. It seems there was a shortage of waiters but plenty of support staff. we waited 15 minutes before we had to request a waiter/waitress since no one approached our table or acknowledged us.

Excellent does not begin to describe the wonderful dining experience we had last night. Each entree we had was finger licking good!! Portions were just right and let's not talk about the fabulous dessert. OMG....it was heavenly. Highly recommend Natirar. We will be returning for another spectacular evening.

Had our anniversary dinner here second year in a row. Food is fresh farm-to-table, unique in its menu but not so different that picky eaters can't find something. Fantastic service, and rustic yet elegant atmosphere. Food and drinks were delicious. Do NOT forego dessert!

Our second visit; again we had the evening’s fixed price ($75) three course tasting menu. All of the food was excellent. A nice combination in each case of flavors and textures. The only slight criticism is that the third course was served on cold plates and oiled very quickly. By contrast, the other two courses (especially the fish) arrived at the table piping hot and was so much better as a result. Considering the ambience and food quality, the prices are quite reasonable, including the by-the-glass wines and draft beers.

Ninety Acres is always a nice place to dine. This night was no exception, but we did encounter one mistake. Service was impeccable. Appetizers were great - open ravioli and pan roasted quail with black trumpet mushrooms. Again, very, very please with those starts. We both chose the venison for dinner, one medium, one rare. Mine was medium, not rare. It tasted good but was a serious departure from correct. I politely noted this to our waiter, John, who immediately offered to have a new one prepared. I opted to eat what was served, so they comped my dessert. The sauce with the venison had a bit more cinnamon flavor than I'd prefer, but it wasn't a "problem" with the dish. I only note it for those considering the plate.

All in all, still a very nice dinner, well served.
