   We love Ninety Acres normally, and were married there previously. This visit was average. In all fairness to them, it was Christmas Eve when we went. It was arctic cold outside, but unfortunately it FREEZING inside as well. We wore our jackets. The food was…. Ok, we have often had better. The service was great as usual. We’ll go back but not any time too soon.

   My wife and decided to spend Christmas Eve at ninety acres. It was a cold windy night but the inside was warm friendly and busy. We were greeted promptly and our hostess checked our coats and sat us at our table. While it was a busy night it did not take away from our service. Our server Veronica was pleasant and attentive and always checked on us to make sure we were doing okay and our needs were met. The manager Greg was also at our table and was great at filling us in on all the possibilities at ninety acres and just a great conversationalist. Very pleasant and informative. We ordered a bottle of wine and had a very interesting discussion on Italian wine with not one but 2 sommeliers. Very knowledgeable and guided us to a great bottle to go with the price fixed menu. Speaking of which, each course had many fantastic choices and the chef was very creative with each. The way he marries flavors and the combinations made for a very favorable and enjoyable experience. Going out Christmas Eve was a new experience for us but my wife and I agreed we would not hesitate to return again.

   My wife and I went for Christmas Eve dinner. It’s a fixed 3-course menu. The choices are very limited for the appetizer, main course and dessert. Food was excellent but not the value for $125/person. Wine per glass is $17-$35. I had tuna crudo, filet mignon and a panna cotta. All good but still felt a bit unfulfilled afterwards. I’ll go back again for their regular menu which looks to be pricey too but has a lot of selections.

   The entrées were terrible. No flavor to any of them. We ordered the osso bucco veal shank and it wasn’t tender. I ordered the scallops and there was no flavor although they were very fresh. My daughter ordered pasta which again had no flavor. It’s extremely expensive to not get a great meal.

   All four of us struggled with choosing from the menu. Nothing was appealing. The descriptions are filled with words, mostly unrecognizable, and the ingredients listed don't whet the appetite. We all "settled" on what we hoped was least risky. Nothing tasted horrible, but nothing tasted delicious either. There are high expectations when going out to such a special venue. This evening missed the mark.

   Service was impeccable. The food was amazing. We had grilled octopus which was cooked perfectly and accompanied by a delicious sauce. The beef carpaccio was paper thin and melted in your mouth. Several of us had the scallops which were even better than the appetizers. The scallops were served with a delicious sauce. We finished with dessert—the sundae and the donuts. Both were perfection.

    Absolutely lovely from pulling up for valet parking, welcoming, beautiful elegant but not stuffy atmosphere, excellent gourmet delicious dining the entire meal!! Extremely professional, friendly, knowledgeable staff created such a special and warm experience for birthday dinner.
