Great service, food and drinks. Loved it
New summer menu. One of my faves. Going back again next weekend for my real birthday.
I have been to Nineteen XIX for business functions before and it never disappoints. This was the first time going on a date for lunch. The menu is small but there is something for everyone. We chose to sit in the lounge as it was less formal but still a great experience.
It was a girls night out to celebrate 2 birthdays. Our server was enthusiastic, knowledgeable and fun at the table. Owner Andrew Fung came out to the table to welcome us. The food was outstanding, fresh, creative and beautifully presented. With two locations, one in St. Albert and his original location in Terwillegar Andrew and his team up the quality of restaurants available for us to enjoy in these locations.
Food was very good!!portions a little small but would recommend this place.
Pricey but you get what you pay for,
They never disappoint!
Great Food, excellent service, good prices; all around a great place to eat
We had planned an early Anniversary dinner and decided to try something new. Very good experience overall and the food was excellent - we will be back for sure.
The food was really delicious, but the dining room was way too loud and not good for conversations. We had to sit outside so that we could actually hear each other. For the price I wanted it to have a bit of a better ambience.
Great place to go for delicious food. Fish and chips we had was a little too salty but their crab cake is to die for. Will go back again.
Liam was our server and he was outstanding, he knew the menu and made excellent recommendations. We had prompt and professional service. The meal itself was excellent but the portions were super small for the price. We spend $200 and ended up eating at McDonald’s after.
Birthday lunch. Great choice
Food is always good. The restaurant is good for dating, special occasions, and even daily dinner.
Lovely restaurant atmosphere with delicious food! The service was great! The music was just loud enough that you could talk and not hear your neighbour. Would recommend without hesitation and repeat a visit!!
Food was good but was way over priced. There’s tons of places in the city you can get the same quality food for under $30 a main.
That being said, the service was some of the best we’ve ever had.
My husband and I really enjoyed the delicious food and lovely presentation. The anniversary wishes were a nice personal touch and we really appreciated it.
We'll be back!
Very nice elegant place to take your date food was great nice wine selection a bit over priced but nothing out of the norm good place to try something different
It was pleasant. Their website did not show that lunch isn’t provided on Sunday’s. The Chef was kind enough to make us something from the lunch menu. It was good
The food was excellent. The chef Andrew was very attentive. However I have one suggestion, I did bring a bottle of wine, having phoned twice to see if I could do that. In the absence of leaving a recorded message because no one answered the phone on two occasions during business hours, I brought a bottle of wine to the restaurant. The young person at the front desk told me I could not do that. I had promised a good bottle of wine to the two guests that I brought to the restaurant. At the table the young lady who ushered us to the table said that I would probably find the bottle of wine I brought on the wine menu. I had brought a bottle of 2012 Rochioli single vineyard pinot from Little Hill. It was not on the menu of course. An experienced person, interested in customer service, would have told me at the front desk that that privilege wasn't restaurant policy but since I had the wine there she would open it anyway and charge me corkage. I brought the bottle of wine never having seen the wine list at the restaurant. I would suggest that the web site should indicate the policy and also publish the wine list.
It was our first time there for dinner and we would highly recommend X1X to anyone. Great spot. We had the special Halibut and it was great. The cocktails excellent.
We had a nice time in the meal was very good just the price was a little excessive especially the drinks and dessert
Great food and service. Background noise was a bit too loud and table seemed deeper than average making it hard to hear my date.
Great dining experience! Loved the Tuna twist appetizer. Service was friendly, knowledgeable and efficient. Will definitely be going back again.
Had the black garlic scallops what a beautiful dish! So flavorful!!
Very nice atmosphere, service and food. Great wine list as well. Will come back.
Nice place, ok service. Food is good but nothing special. I went for lunch and I thought it was a rip off. I am a gourmet and truly don't care for big portions. But the size of lunch was absolutely laughable. The chicken leg was the size of a wing, near a spoon of coleslaw and 2 spoons of salad (which had too much of a sweet dressing that I wasn't even asked and I specifically asked twice about no sugar). For all the emptiness on my plate the cost was $22. Tap IPA $8. HST and tip added up to $40 for a lunch that left me pretty much as hungry as I started.
Really great service & food. I would recommend it to my friends as a perfect place for a date or a dbl date.
Interesting menu selections - excellent execution and highly enjoyable. Highly recommended.
Very good food, no complaints except the music was too loud. Why is it that restaurants used to play old geezer music from the 40s, skipped over 'my generation' ie rock and roll, and went right to contemporary music, which i despise?
Food was great, however, our table was near the entrance and it was busy with people coming and going, made conversation awkward.
Always an amazing experience. Or server Jen was out standing and the food is second to now. One of the best restaurants in the city.
We have always thoroughly enjoyed our dinners at Nineteen but this was our first brunch experience. My partner felt the chicken and waffles were okay - mostly because the chicken was drumsticks and wings - not a solid piece of chicken which could be cut through easily with the waffle. My eggs Benedict were okay - lacking taste but okay.
A little on the pricey side, but good for a special occasion as the service and ambiance are top notch.
We got there 5 mins earlier than my reservation but got seated right away, next to a window looking into the kitchen (pretty cool!). We proceeded to order, you're looking to spend around 100$ for two people, so I think this is a place for special occasions only.
Always a 5/5 for me
Horrible experience. Made a reservation, got seated, and waited 30 minutes without any service. It was lunch!! I left.
Have been here multiple times before, but will never go back. I was a solo diner this time, and it was clear that they didn’t value my business.
The waitress was horrible!!!! Was obviously annoyed with us multiple times for no good reason. Didn’t come to get our orders, collect dirty plates or bring the bill. We had to ask everytime. I love the food here, but will rethink the visit next time.
We brought friends to XIX who were visiting from Vancouver, who had never been to the restaurant before. We all thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and the food - they commented on how lucky we were to have such a great restaurant 'in the hood!'
Great service and amazing food quality & presentation!
Tuna twists are a must have!
