Nine on Nine Ratings and Reviews
The 4 of us wanted to have a great dinner prior to attending the 8PM theater presentation at the Benedum. 9 on 9 was the perfect choice! Excellent, unobtrusive service. Carefully selected variety for the menu. Delicious espresso beverages and desserts as a fabulous cap to a wonderfully prepared, presented and enjoyed dinner.
Food was will prepared and nicely presented.
Serving portions were ideal for sampling and sharing without overstuffing.
The wait staff was attentive and knowledgeable; they inquired about and accommodated our plans for a show after the meal.
An altogether pleasant experience.
We had pre-show dinner reservations here. However, after sitting at the bar and enjoying service and conversation with Joseph, we decided to take dinner in the bar area. We dropped back to a stand-up table and had a great meal. Loved the scallops and fish tacos. And a very nice wine list, with a Bordeaux that was outstanding. We'll be back!
Past experiences in this restaurant has been very good. However on this visit we were seated quickly waited for 30 minutes for drinks to come and was served our entree after waiting for 1 hour. We had theater tickets which was known and had 10 minutes to eat our entree due to late service. We will hesitate to dine here on a theater night in the future. I will say, the food was good.
My issue was that the restaurant doesn’t seem to be properly vented and became very Smokey to the point where it was bothering eyes and making hair and clothing smell. I had a similar experience there in November. It’s a shame because the food and service are wonderful.
Unfortunately the kitchen ran out of filet, which all 5 of us ordered and the replacement options were not satisfactory in comparison. Service was slow and not very attentive. The salad was good, but portions were small as well. There are other outstanding restaurants in the city that I would recommend over this. I was left underwhelmed and unimpressed after having high hopes based on the restaurant week menu.
Also it was my friends birthday, which I put in my reservation, and nothing special was done for her which was disappointing.
We had theater reservations and wanted a nice quiet dinner prior — and we were very glad we chose Nine on Nine. The service was excellent, and the food was delicious. (The brussels are the best!) We had a table right by the large window in the corner, and it was very comfortable. I even received special treatment for my birthday, which was a really nice surprise.
Based on earlier evening meal experience, we chose Nine-on-Nine for our 50th Wedding anniversary outing. The food , wine selection, ambiance, and the staff combine to provide a perfect dining experience. This was my third visit,- once with a social group, also a small business meeting and most recently with my wife. Nine on Nine gets ten out of ten from us!
Enjoyed a great meal and drinks in the bar area before going to the theater. The bartender is fabulous - so outgoing and engaging. He was the best part of the experience. That being said, the food was delicious. We arrived during happy hour, so we loved the prices of cocktails and wine! Looking forward to our next visit to Nine on Nine!
The atmosphere was great-- candle lit and dark, cozy. The food was amazing. We both got the filet mignon tournedos and it was perfectly cooked and beautifully plated. Great wine list. Didn't go to the attached bar but it looked fun. I also recommend the Brussels sprouts and any of the desserts. They do have a lot of small plates which can be fun with a group but my dinner was more of an entree which was great for my party of 2. I wouldn't have wanted to share the steak, it was too good! One tip, if they ask about what type of water you want, be aware that the spring water is a $12 bottle. I would have gladly had tap had I known. Otherwise, phenomenal experience. Will be returning
I and my husband made reservation in this restaurant before Nutcracker show at Benedum. We ware very excited for this evening.
Unfortunately our dinner was very bad. The food was not tasty at all, the portions ware very small and everything was so expensive!
We came hungry and we left this restaurant hungry and we spent over $ 100.00 dollars.
We never gowing back !!!
We would never recommend to anyone!
Food was expertly prepared, delicious! We had the lamb lollipops and diver scallops. Service was friendly & adequate & server made good recommendations. Our only complaint was the odd size of the 2-person table. It was long and narrow with us seated at either end. We could barely touch hands across the length of the table. We'd go again, just ask to be seated elsewhere.
Came in for dinner and drinks before a show. Had a reservation but spots open at the bar, and the folks had no problem with us sitting at the bar. The bartender, Joseph, was attentive, funny and provided great service. There were two large parties whose orders were in ahead of us, and they gave us a heads up that it might be 30 minutes until our food was ready. We were unconcerned because we had plenty of time. When our food wasn't out 31 minutes from then, a free round of drinks were placed in front of us with a sincere apology. I consider that fantastic service.
The food was very tasty. I had the fish tacos, best I have ever had. My wife had wagyu sliders which she liked. Sweet potatoe side was sweet and delicious, no need for dessert!
I would recommend and would gladly go there again.
We go to Nine on Nine occasionally and have always had a good experience in the past. We were there on a Wednesday evening with friends and found that the service was not as good as we had before. There was an error in the order in one of our party and the wrong meal was brought resulting in a delay for that individual. The server did decrease the bill which was nice. However, no one stopped by the table at all during our meal even to offer more water. When we were finished and ready to leave, our water glasses were then filled.
