Nine Fine Irishmen - New York - New York Ratings and Reviews
What can I say.. we were seated when we were ready- our server was Kerri, who was absolutely fantastic! We went to order a starter each, and she told us that they were really big, and better for sharing! Boy was she right!! The Guinness went down like nectar, the mains (my wife and I had the rib, father in law had NY steak, mother in law had fish and chips) were unbelievable! So much taste. No long waits.. food was on the table quickly considering they weren't exactly simple dishes. The only minor complaint was my father in laws steak- slightly undercooked- but I think that was our fault for not stressing the well done bit! All in all a fantastic experience- it'll be our first port of call next time in Vegas!
Brought a party of 8 for two birthdays. Service was terrible and took several attempts to get orders right. The bar was of a Jameson! How does an Irish themed bar run out of Jameson. Food tasted fine, but gave several in our party stomach issues later. Would not go again or recommend, especially with large parties.
Made a reservation for 5 was told didn't take seating until 5:10. Still had to wait later.
Table we were given was stuck in a corner very uncomfortable.
Staff gathered nearby frequently being quit noisy and distracting.
Food tasted good but could have been enjoyed more perhaps with a better experience at this establishment.
Food wasn’t the best this time. The Shepard’s pie was dry and very chunky. Service wasn’t the best, as the server didn’t know the drinks available and then forgot to come back and take our drink order during desert. We Would have stayed a lot longer but ended up leaving.
We were celebrating my daughter's 21st birthday. The waitress we had was unbelievable in her recommendations on both food and drink. We made the reservation early so we could go to a show at 7PM. They had us in and out in plenty of time to make it to the next hotel to see the show. This was not our first time at Nine Fine Irishmen and of course, will mot be our last!!
Our experience was wonderful as usual! The staff did their best to accommodate my request of being where we could see the stage. We were so lucky to get our favorite table. We could see the band and the dancer. Both were superb. The food was excellent as usual. We always look forward to having dinner here. It is one of the highlights of our trip!
We had a my vegas coupon so we had good value. The waitress was very nice and chatty. However, it took a good 45 mins to get an appetizer the other couple had ordered and our food was over an hour. The good was delicious though. Then when we had given up on the other couples' last drinks and we're ready to leave she brought them. She did comp their drinks and their appetizer. However, it was noted on reservation that it was my 50th and my man told her but their was nothing for that. If you want fantastic food and don't mind waiting a long time, you may like it. Prices were reasonable
Our server and food were very good. The atmosphere was cool. The fine print on the menu says an 18% gratuity will be added to the bill for a party of 6 or more. Unfortunately because we were all talking we didn't notice it on our bill. The server did NOT share that info with us and we ended up adding over 20% more. So basically we tipped 20% on the 18% tip. We caught it on our way out but after the credit card was run through. So now we all waited around for the correction. I know it's Vegas, but just be honest.
One of the few places to actually impress me (instead of hanging on the "this is Vegas so we'll give you what we want" mantra 90% of the restaurants in this town do), this place delivers on all accounts. We were very lucky to come in and have a 2nd floor balcony seat overlooking the ornate bar area, and even luckier to have a server who, I wish I remember her name but she's "been there 14 years", treated us like family, giving us the best options on the menu and even taking time to illustrate the history of the restaurant, like how many things were salvaged from around Ireland and the world to bring to Vegas and how the bar itself was constructed in Ireland and shipped whole halfway around the world. The food was impressive- good authentic selections, and the beer... it's an Irish bar, it's good. One of the rare finds in Vegas where a restaurant aims in being a restaurant and not a tourist trap. Enjoy!
The food was fine. Not bad - not great. My first contact after booking on Open Table was to have them call me shortly before our trip and say the restaurant had been completely reserved, so I would have to change dates. Luckily, we had other days that worked, but they didn't offer us anything in the way of compensation for inconvenience. We were seated at a small table right at the top of the stairs, so every time someone went up or down, our "space" was disturbed. If this restaurant were in my hometown, I might go back, but there are so many options in Las Vegas, I don't think we'll be back.
Average dining. The appetizer of cheese dip and breads was exceptional. Other than that the food was mediocre. Fish and chips were less than average. Shepherds pie was gross. The ground beef in it was mush. Service was good although one dinner was brought to the table 5 minutes before the other. One more exception…bread pudding in a cup. Poured out in front of us with 2 different sauces. It was the best we had ever had. I would go back just for that.
