Although I received a booking confirmation from Open Table this restaurant had closed some weeks previously. Very frustrating
Birthday dinner :)
Great food and friendly staff. Would dine there again
Convenient location, across for Penn Station. Great, large space - safe and comfortable. Limited menu however the food is fresh and delicious. Staff is friendly and attentive.
Definitely returning!
Niles remains a very special place to dine! I took friends for lunch and they absolutely enjoyed it! The hostess was courteous! The service by "Miguel," was polite and prompt! The meals were nicely prepared, presented, good portions and tasty! The atmosphere was pleasant and comfortable! All at a great value! The manager "Maggie," was gracious! I recommend Niles, for meals, drinks, special occasions and a good time!
Great food...nice drinks...we had a great time!!!!
Crabcake appetizer and French chicken dinner entree was excellent. Pauses between courses was longer than I like but tolerable.
Great service. I was at Nikes with my daughter & 7 year old granddaughter. Food was great , service was excellent & a wonderful end to our visit to The Lion King.
Had a client lunch at Niles. Place is clean, well lit , easy access to Penn Station. Service was great , yet gave us room to talk with my client. None of the uptown hustle bustle. Food was really good and reasonably priced for a NYC restaurant.
I have dined at Niles on and off for a long time as my office was across the street. I now work in NJ and find it really convenient and quality is the same as I remembered - great value.
Really enjoyed this restaurant. First time visit and would definitely go back. The wait staff was great. The crabcakes were delicious and so was the pomegranate martini! I also had the lamb which was really tasty. Also, you can’t beat the location; across from MSG.
We thoroughly enjoyed our dinner at Niles. The food was tasty and the presentation was creative. It is across the street from Penn Station and very convenient to MSG.
The service is wonderful, the food is great, and it’s conveniently located right across from Penn Station. I’ve met friends at Niles at least 6 times and all of us have always been happy.
Food was average. Salmon burnt and overdone. Steak fatty. Potatoes cold. But ambiance bar and restaurant is very cozy quite and comfortable
Always excellent for a full dinner or a quick bite. Great food, service & location!
Breakfast is a very quiet affair. Hardly anyone before 8:00. Food quality is good and served quickly
Food was great and service was excellent!
My wife and I brought another couple with us. We have been there before. Food and service was excellent. The location across from MSG and the LIRR is very desireable.
As always, coming to Niles is like coming home. We ate three meals in row there this weekend and they were all excellent. Even our fussy vegetarian son was happy as the chef adapted the day's special tortellini recipe to fit his needs at lunchtime.
Great food, atmosphere, location. Will go again next time in New York. Hands down the french onion soup is outstanding along with the filet mignon.
Pleasant surprise for a hotel restaurant in Manhattan! The roasted French chicken is not to be missed. My dining companions gave similar feedback in the scallops & quinoa bowl. Jorge A. paced the service just-right. As metro area natives we actually got a tad concerned about the speed... then realized that everything came just-right, making for a lovely meal with good fellowship.
Pre-show dinner before seeing Billy Joel at the Garden. Food and service was fantastic. Servers were helpful.
A group of us have been getting together for lunch at Niles for several months now. The consensus was that this was the best place in the neighborhood for our needs. Some of the group have entrees (often the salmon, which several people recommend) and others have salads or sandwiches. There's someone for everyone. It is somewhat loud in the busiest part of lunch time, but quiets down as the afternoon goes on.
The service was terrific and the food even better. I ordered a filet mignon very well done. The waiter asked if I would lime it filleted so it would cook more evenly. My friend ordered a skirt steak medium. Both steaks were cooked precisely how we ordered them and amazing! My new go to NYC restaurant! 5 stars all the way!! Mat
Great food, service and location for concert at MSG!
Delicious food. Definitely will return
Had concert tickets for MSG and wanted an early dinner nearby. Saw Niles on line and decided to try it. Both my husband and I had a lovely dinner. The food was excellent; service was attentive without being overbearing. All food courses were brought out in a timely manner. We didn’t feel rushed, yet we had time to sample an appy, entree, and dessert and have plenty of time to get to the concert. We will return.
Bartender's service was excellent
Waiters were hard to find
Food was amazing. A little too quiet but didn’t matter
We had a great dinner here! The food & drinks were fantastic, and service was spot-on. Great atmosphere and the pricing was very reasonable for the large portions. We will definitely be back.
Food was very good and was priced well for New York City. Due to the low ceiling the conversations from other tables carried over including one very loud talker from 2 tables away.
It was a wonderful experience! Great service, good food, reasonable prices.... and steps away from our event at the garden! Would highly recommend .... thank you for being a pleasant surprise !
Always accommodating .Food good.Convenient to Penn Station, Madison Garden events & honor reservations made in advance
Nice quiet place near MSG for dinner before a concert.
Had a great time here before and after the hockey game. Part of Stewart hotel!!! People were great. Thanks!
Great place, a block from MSG
Needs updating but otherwise
Great food, service, value
Our go to place. Dependable and delicious!
A comped round of drinks does not make up for slow, inattentive service and insipid food.
Excellent food and service. Staff recognized my wife’s birthday... very nice touch!!
Wonderful food and good service. Will definitely be back!
Niles is my go to place for business lunches or a bite before heading to MSG. Great variety of food options no matter your mood. Going as often as I do I appreciate how often they shake up the menu. Very reasonably priced and the service is first rate. I have never had a bad meal here.
