I love Niles. Staff are always friendly. Food is great. Perfect spot for a casual bite👍🏼
The food at the Niles was actually very good - the french fries were addictive. Good food all around and convenient to MSG for a concert. I was a little thrown off at the low ceilings - it felt like a basement and it is attached to a hotel. I would eat here again and recommend it for a pre-concert meal. They were able to get our concert goers their food first so they could get there before the main act went on.
Loved the minimalist decor & simple but delicious menu.
Food was done well. I had the shrimp and scallop dish. The seafood was done just right. The service was friendly and accommodating. I never had a bad meal here.
The food was amazing and a great place to connect with a friend from college.
Great location; just minutes away from MSG. i enjoyed the food; very tasty.Ambiance was perfect at the time and very cordial service.
Noise level was quiet because only two other tables were occupied--allowing us to relax after the train ride to New York and enjoy what was to be our best meal in four nights in town. We both had fish, and would have it again if we're in your neighborhood again.
Tasty food. Drinks were okay, somewhat weak. Excellent service
The restaurant inside it beautiful. We opted to eat outside where the street noise was loud.
The food & service were excellent!! I visited Niles the last time I was in NY and had to come back.
I met a friend for an early dinner, it was delicious as always.
Niles restaurant is in the Stewart Hotel. It is 1 block from Penn Station and Madison Square Garden. It was very stylish, everyone was very friendly and efficient and the food and drink was excellent!! It is my new favorite restaurant for this area!
You have to go here! everything about our experience was lovely. We were greeted so pleasantly and seated immediately at a nice table that was distanced from others. Our server treated us to fresh cold water and a basket of delicious rolls and took our drink order right away. The hostess was aware that we were planning for the 8pm MSG concert and timing couldn't have been more perfect - not rushed, but not ignored for hours (pet peeve of mine - recently at another restaurant we waited 1 hr 50 minutes from the time we sat down to receiving our meal!). The ambiance is clean and sparkly and the location is literally right across the street from MSG. So now the food - which is the real reason you need to go - let me just say that it was so good that I wished I had more just hours later. I ordered the shrimp tacos and the shrimp were meaty, crisp (fresh crisp not fried crisp) and perfectly seasoned in a sweet/spicy sauce. The accoutrements were all perfectly proportioned so that every bite was delicious. My husband had the burger which he said was good, but I have to also rave about the fries as I'm a bit of a french fry snob if there's such a thing - they were hot, crispy not greasy, and most importantly, salted just right. We were floored by the beet/orange/arugula salad, it was so good, and if there's only one comment for improvement, it would be that it could have been larger. It's not unusual for salads to serve only one person, but we assumed (hoped) that it would have been large enough to share.
So this is now a favorite, and although we don't visit NYC often, we will plan future MSG shows around making sure we have dinner here first!
Went to NiLES with my family before the Eagles concert at MSG - was pleasantly surprised at the ambience-nice bar, nice restaurant seating area. Service was great, especially in consideration of a short timeline between our reservation and leaving for the show, and the food was excellent. The fish was fresh, the chicken paillard was excellent, and they accommodated my daughters dietary needs. Absolutely will return and it won’t require concert tickets to do so
Pre concert dinner
Very nice place! Food was delicious. Service was excellent. I am definitely going back!
Great food, value and ambiance near Penn Station.
This is my favorite place to have dinner before an event at MSG. Happy to be back @ Niles and MSG last night- I missed both places. Niles has great food that is affordable, wonderful service and are used to accommodate people going to events at MSG. I hope to be back more frequently now.
Great place if you’re going to a concert at Madison square garden
The service the other night was slow though
We waited a long time to get our entrees but they were all very good
Food was really good, service was ok considering the place was pretty empty. One thing to note they do not outdoor seating (at least they didnt the night we went). Overall a nice surprise for being right outside of Penn Station.
I arrived early for my reservation and they just opened. The woman who greeted me was very nice and seated me right away. Once the rest of my party arrived, we ordered and had a nice time. We didn't feel rushed or pressured to leave once we finished eating. The food was delicious and the guacamole was really good too!
Never disappointing, Niles delivers good food, a welcoming staff and comfortable , quiet space for meaningful conversation. The location, across deform Penn Station and MSG could not be more convenient.
The food is great and the service is excellent
We’ve stayed at Stewart Hotel many times but not eaten dinner at the Niles. Food and service was great. Recommend the scallops.
Great place for lunch meeting. Large space, quiet, great staff, no rush.
Niles is back open, and as welcoming as ever. The perfect spot for a business lunch - food is great, with a diverse menu, and the service is always friendly and prompt. A great spot for drinks after work too!
This was my first time for lunch with a friend. I've thought about trying it for quite some time, and I'm very pleased that I did. We both enjoyed a salad with grilled check which was fresh and very nicely presented.
Our waiter, Alberto, was very polite and did a very nice service during our lunch making certain that we were pleased with our meals.
Very good food and service. Would recommend the burrata and thin spaghetti. Good wine list as well. Sad to see the place almost empty but we got very good service in exchange
Excellent service. The food was very tasty and the prices are reasonable.
Terrific venue. Great location. A little oasis from the bustle of the City. Overall fabulous. Great food, great service, lovely setting. Very health and safety conscious.
I have been to Niles many times since it’s convenient to MSG and Penn station. The food and service is always good. I had the burrata appetizer that not only looks beautiful- it is delicious. I had the spaghetti with seafood in wine sauce which was perfect because it was not a heavy dish and so yummy.
So happy to be back @ Niles, popped in for lunch Food & Service excellent as always
Niles is a very classy intimate restaurant. The food is exquisite, the service is friendly and very helpful, and it's a perfect place for a special dinner event.
My only quibble is with the lighting, which was on the low side and I had trouble reading the menu. Other than that I give Niles high marks!
Birthday dinner :)
Great food and friendly staff. Would dine there again
Convenient location, across for Penn Station. Great, large space - safe and comfortable. Limited menu however the food is fresh and delicious. Staff is friendly and attentive.
Niles remains a very special place to dine! I took friends for lunch and they absolutely enjoyed it! The hostess was courteous! The service by "Miguel," was polite and prompt! The meals were nicely prepared, presented, good portions and tasty! The atmosphere was pleasant and comfortable! All at a great value! The manager "Maggie," was gracious! I recommend Niles, for meals, drinks, special occasions and a good time!
Great food...nice drinks...we had a great time!!!!
Crabcake appetizer and French chicken dinner entree was excellent. Pauses between courses was longer than I like but tolerable.
Great service. I was at Nikes with my daughter & 7 year old granddaughter. Food was great , service was excellent & a wonderful end to our visit to The Lion King.
Had a client lunch at Niles. Place is clean, well lit , easy access to Penn Station. Service was great , yet gave us room to talk with my client. None of the uptown hustle bustle. Food was really good and reasonably priced for a NYC restaurant.
I have dined at Niles on and off for a long time as my office was across the street. I now work in NJ and find it really convenient and quality is the same as I remembered - great value.
