Great restaurant. Great location. I love having meetings there because the food is excellent and good value. It is never too noisy. And the atmosphere is always inviting.
a nice place for a good meal with friends. Service was excellent and food was very well prepared and tasted wonderful.
The food is over priced. It’s like diner food served at a nice restaurant. Most customers are tourists. Will not come again.
The price was very decent for the area, the ambiance and decor are lovely, and the plating/presentation of the drinks and food was so stunning. Everything was delicious. We also had excellent service and guests of the Stewart Hotel get a discount.
Met our daughter for dinner prior to Billy Joel concert across from restaurant at MSG. Perfect location, good food, reasonable prices. Daughter a little late but we were seated anyway and ordered drinks and app while we waited- never felt rushed or like the server was annoyed. Would definitely go back!
Great place to go right before MSG. Wonderful menu - so many good choices! Food was delicious.
We couldn’t have been any happier with our meal. We shared the cheese platter for our appetizer and will order it again I enjoyed a lamb entree done to perfection. They made a sweet potato gallantine with a spiced apple compote that was so flavorful that my mouth is still watering! The rib eye my husband ordered was equally as special. I will be back!
Perfect spot to have breakfast meeting near Penn Station
One of the best meals I've ever had - and the service was outstanding! Danielle, the restaurant manager, made sure that my BFF and I had an excellent table in a quiet spot that was ideal for conversation. Akash, our waiter, was superb. I ordered the burrata and tomato salad, followed by the grilled chicken paillard with asparagus and the mixed berry dessert - delicious! My friend had the orange and beets salad and scallops (appetizer portion) plus the mixed berry dessert - and she loved it! The chef customized our desserts with "Happy Birthday" written in syrup on the serving plates and a candle in each berry serving. The wait staff presented the desserts complete with a low-key rendition of "Happy Birthday!" What a lovely surprise! We had such a great time - enjoying the dinner and wonderful conversation. The staff did not rush us. And Akash snapped a souvenir pic of us on my phone. Thank you, Danielle, Akash and other wait staff/chef and staff at Niles NYC!
We've had several meals at The Niles. It seems like everytime we go it gets better. Last time we had a blast at the bar with Connor.
Great service.. food was delicious! Great meeting spot
For the food. Ambiance and service are not great.
Food was excellent. I would definitely go again...too bad the service was so slow. I waited over 30 mins for my meal.
Very well located near Penn station. The food and service were quite good especially in the context of the location.
This was a dinner preceding the Billy Joel concert. Seated us immediately even though the restaurant was extremely busy. Everyone was courteous and professional. Food came out in a timely fashion, however I feel the hiccups may have laid with the server. Errors made: drinks were not correct, one of the two main courses was not the plate that was ordered, even though it was delicious and one of the appetizers did not come out-we had to remind the server of our order. Despite all the bumps I’d give this place another shot, because the food was good and ambiance nice.
Perfect for the Garden, but LOUD.
Niles is very conveniently located, near MSG and Penn Station, short walk from Port Authority and Times Square. The restaurant area, farther back from the bar area, is not too noisy and thus allows for conversation. The food came quickly, it is well prepared, and the service was good. There also appeared to be a semi-private area for small groups.
If you are going to Madison Square Garden it’s very convenient but service is slow so leave yourself plenty of time.
Incredible! Great atmosphere, excellent value and superb service (thanks, Rigo!).
Always liked the restaurant but the barful
of very loud bros waiting for the game to start at MSG made conversation even way in the back extremely difficult. Not the restaurant's fault, but I'd think twice next time. Young woman checking us in and the waiter were great.
Good near the Garden!
Excellent quality of seafood - surprisingly so. Room was a weird pink hue kind of looks like a high school cafeteria but the tables are well spaced and made for good conversation among friends and family. Would definitely recommend.
I enjoyed the food but it was way too pricey. I wouldn't recommend it really unless it was a special occasion.
Our group of ladies converge on Niles about once every other month. We hail from the Hamptons, North Jersey and the Upper West Side. We love the place, the food and the vibe. Your location is perfect for us. It’s a mini vacation.
Perfect location and attentive staff. Food is fabulous. One of the best in NYC!
Tired and hungry after a flight from the UK, we were very well looked after. The food and wine were good.
Always our favorite midtown nyc restaurant.
We had brunch on Sunday.
Great excellent choice of food.
No rush atmosphere.
Quiet hotel restaurant great breakfast great for pre game drinks perfect place to hang before the game
Excellent food. Not too terribly expensive. Bar area was very noisy; we sat close to the back of the restaurant where it was quite a bit quieter.
Good place to go before a concert or game at the Garden
Our go to place whenever we go to the garden for a show.... friendly and great food
Good food, moderately priced- across the street from MSG. Even sat us before entire party arrived.
Definitely recommend. Nice bar area too.
Everything was wonderful.
Perfect place for after work dinner with co-workers. Food was excellent. Service was very good, helpful and friendly. We were able to eat, drink, speak and no one rushed us. We will be back!!
Excellent food. Great service.
Very convenient location. A block from Penn Station.
I highly recommend Nyles
Awesome service was fantastic.
Nice dining,,especially convenient for those staying at The Stewart Hotel.
Best place ever. Enjoyed delicious lunch. Good service too.
As always, Niles did not disappoint. The servers are kind and very warmly welcoming. I sense they are over-worked because at times it is hard to get their attention. We enjoy the menu and are comforted by their rarely being a change, but , as our vegetarian friends often note, there could be more vegetarian entree choices. The lone Quinoa Bowl is oddly taste-free, I've noticed. I'm not sure what to do about that; people who prefer plain vegetables and grains with no onions, garlic or spices certainly will enjoy this dish's wholesome purity. Adding an optional sauce like the curry one used for the scallops and shrimp dishes might be a good idea.
We like Niles but our vegetarian sons do not, alas, because the vegetarian options are so few, and rarely-- if ever-- change. But our friends are all happy to come meet us for B'fast lunch and dinner when we are staying at the Stewart, so we dine there frequently when we come to NYC for the weekend. The staff is so welcoming and we like the food and quiet ambiance. It always feels like coming home when we return!
Great food, slow service
