Everything was great except for the fact that our table was too close to another couple. It was hard to concentrate on our own conversation because we couldn’t help but overhead theirs. The food was great. I know it’s fine dining but maybe slightly bigger portions?
Took my girlfriend there for early Valentines day. We asked for a window view and were denied while the window tables sat empty for a majority of our stay. You have to specifically put it in the notes when you reserve....but you still may not get it. Food was not $50-60 a plate worthy. Menu was very limited and appetizer was puny.
At the end of the night they did not bring out a dessert I had requested, yes, in the notes. Asking the server to do this took a little of the surprise out of it. Overall....I would not recommend this restaurant.
Have waited 40 years to try Nikolai’s. Well worth the wait. The service, from the valet to the restaurant was superb. Our waiter, Vassil, was an experienced professional and made the whole experience fabulous. He knows his trade.
We had the 4 course meal and everything we ate was perfectly prepared and very flavorful. Could not believe the outstanding food quality and presentation.
If you have not been here, you need to try it soon. It is a very special experience.
Great views and amazing food. Our waiter Tyler was very attentive and gave great recommendations. Service, atmosphere and food were all 5 stars.
The most outstanding customer experience I’ve encountered, they were very undertstandin and patient despite my tardiness as I am unfamiliar with Atlanta. The ambiance was very elegant, romantic, and airy. The food was cooked well and everyone makes you feel welcomed. Everyone who comes to Atlanta should experience Nikolai’s !
Our waiter, Vassil was excellent. He answered all our questions. He didn’t interrupt our conversation, yet he was there when needed. He taught us how to toast in Russian. I requested a table by the window and it was a beautiful city view.
I really enjoyed eating at Nikolai's. The food was delicious and I have never been to a restaurant of this caliber. I'm not sure of the prices on the items and if they are comparable. Enjoyed every moment of the meal and the waitress was very informative on each selection including the wine. I would recommend to do this for any very special occasion.
Been there 5 times over many years
My favorite of all restaurants!
My husband and I had dinner here for our first trip to Atlanta. It didn’t disappoint! Our server Morgan was so sweet and we found she actually had family in Ohio where we are from! The food was amazing and the view was beautiful at sunset! Highly recommend checking it out!
The food was typical hotel fare. Nothing exciting. Very much overpriced. The only good thing was the view from the 28th floor onto downtown Atlanta. Don't waste your time and money.
We came here with friends who had never experienced Nikolai's Roof previously. The view is always excellent as is the food. We shared a good bottle of wine that was the least expensive on the menu. A couple of us picked the chef's special menu and enjoyed the peroski as an appetizer. I had the salmon as my entree, and it was delicious. We also had the Grand Marnier souffle for dessert - deliciously warm with lots of cream topping. My husband also ordered the bread pudding that we shared. We were too full to eat my husband's birthday dessert of mousse, so we had it boxed up for another day. This is a great place for a special occasion, since the service is slower than we like, but had an old world feeling.
Great food, great service. The tasting menu is a great value as well.
Definitely coming back.
This place is delicious. Came here for our anniversary and couldn't have asked for more.
I got the 5 course meal and it was phenomenal. I highly recommend the Beef Tenderloin!
However, our first two waiters were very rude for no reason which almost made me want to get up and go elsewhere.( Dont know why we 3 people)
Happily was taken great care of by the 3rd waiter that came and assisted us the rest of the night.
The service was impeccable as was the food. Thanks!!!
Very great staff and service wherein they make you feel like royalty.
We had a fantastic evening at Nikolai’s! Tyler was a great waiter and took very good care of us.
Chef, Daniel and the Staff are WONDERFUL! Food is delightful and well presented. Dining at it's best, not done this well in many areas and I have to make this a stop to dine when in Atlanta!
Love this place and the sexy food!!! I love when the chef combines unique ingredients to make a wonderfully crisp and clean dish. No complaints just that I wish I would have found this restaurant sooner. I’m in love!
Oh and I appreciate our waiter Tyler...I mean what a doll!! He even had the chef provide the recipe for the amazing dipping sauce. We really felt like we were being taken care of from start to finish. Can’t say we have had that experience in awhile. : )
It has been a while since my last visit but everything was excellent. From the staff to the food, everything was excellent. The views, the ambience, service and of course the food was outstanding. If you live in Atlanta and have not been to Nikolai's Roof, then you must put this on your list for any occasion.
Servers are friendly. Taylor did an amazing job. Food are Delicious. We had a great time.
Never fails to deliver, great food matched with good service, Chef Stephanie does an outstanding job
Wonderful place to celebrate our wedding anniversary!
Everything was awesome, however the scallops were amazing ( you should definitely try them). Complimentary valet is a plus and the view is beautiful. Vassil was our server he was very attentive and an exceptional host. I will definitely dine at Nikolai’s again. I had the duck breast for my main course excellent!
A great special occasion restaurant. We did the New year's eve 5 course meal with wine pairings. All the food and pairings were delish. Our server Morgan was excellent.
We choose this place for our New Years Eve celebrations. We wanted someplace special and Nikolai’s Roof
fit the bill. The atmosphere was really romantic and the service was great. After dinner we sat and listen to the live music and they provided party favors and Champagne. Overall a nice experience!
It’s an interesting venue. The food was good, pricy for what it is. The wine list was very underwhelming. That was disappointing.
Service was solid.
Overall a dinner at Nikolai's is a wonderful experience. The menu is creative and offers the choice of a 3-, 4- or 5-choice tasting experience or you can simply order a la carte off the same menu. We chose the 4-dish selection and all but one were excellent. Presentation was a bit off, as was the service. Since the restaurant is located on the 30th floor the view was extraordinary. Restaurant decor is also beautiful. Definitely would go there again.
Great service and food. Beautiful views of downtown Atlanta. Highly recommended for an upscale dinner out in the downtown Atlanta area.
This has to be one of the best culinary experiences that I've ever had. My wife was blown away by the atmosphere and the view of the city. We will 100% be coming back.
After making a reservation, in which I requested seating w/a view for my husband’s fiftieth birthday (a once in a lifetime moment) I was highly looking forward to this dinner. Upon arrival, the main dining room was full, and we were seated at a table in a back corner, with a view of a column and fake wine cellar (this was only one of two NOT in main dining room). The staff was apologetic- but, this was completely NOT what I had planned months for. Completely dissatisfied with unwillingness to make it right. We were told we could wait an hour or more and we MAY have a better table. The food was outstanding, but the whole experience was a tremendous let down. I wIsh our reservation hadn’t been confirmed at the time offered- we could/would have made better arrangements.
The food was great we had the 3 for 65. Our server was great and they even brought a cheese cake for my birthday and my wife’s friend whose birthday was upcoming the following week. Definitely a go back to spot
It was amazing! Everything my husband and I could ask for was apart of our night. We couldn’t have been more pleased. It was a special Christmas dinner for us and we loved every minute of us. From parking to being seated at the best seat in the house, it was AMAZING!!!!
The waiter was very nice, he kept us well serviced, and he also explained the ingredients that’s inside our meal. The food was awesome and it was seasoned very well.
Great service and food was fantastic.
The bartender Sherry is amazing!! Drinks are so delicious and she is so much fun to converse with. The bar side is always romantic and quiet with seating by the windows. We love going early before dinner so we can visit her before we eat. The beef tenderloin is the most amazing steak you could ever have!! Our favorite place by far!
It may be expensive, but it's absolutely worth the cost. I didn't know food could taste so good!
Server was excellent! Had a loud party of 8 that changed the atmosphere of the whole restaurant. The duck was overdone and VERY CHEWY!! The amuse bouche was very good. The chocolate cake was excellent!!
This restaurant is described as one of the best in Atlanta. It definitely does not live up to expectations. The food is definitely not gourmet standard and the servings way too big for a multi course meal. Go to the bar for the view but don't bother with the food...
My wife and I had a wonderful time at the restaurant. Our waiter Vasily helped us a lot in designing out three course meal. All of his suggestions were great and on top of that he was a very nice guy.
Wish the menu would be a bit more Russian even though the Piroshki were perfect. It be more interesting and daring if they would go down Vladimir Mukhin's route of Russian fancy cuisine.
But we will be back!
The food and our waiter were wonderful. The matte d on the other hand, was horrible. I would have given this restaurant a 5 star rating except for his attempts to ruin an otherwise lovely evening. If arrogant and condescending was the attitude he was attempting to achieve that evening, then he deserves a 5 stars rating as well.
