Nikko Japanese Restaurant
Nikkos always has the best sushi and great ambiance with a dj that makes you feel like you are going out even if you only want to do dinner or great place to get the night started!
Needed another server for a party of 16 - eye roll.
Food is always great. The atmosphere is awesome. I love the music, and the owner walking around talking to people and dancing. It’s so fun. Our server was just ok. She wasn’t super friendly, and we pretty much had to flag her down when we wanted something. It won’t stop me from going back though
Glad we had a reservation. Great food, good service, fun energy but a little too loud once the Dj started (8pm ish).
Had a great time, the music was energetic which made the people energetic, will defiantly be going back
Always fantastic! Love Nikko!
The music is good; it's just TOO loud. You can't have a normal conversation. Everything takes soooo long. Getting checks, getting receipts; it's the longest dining experience. It can be fun for celebrations and birthday parties, but it's the same story every time.
My sons birthday
Delicious fresh sushi and a wide variety to choose from but it was so loud. I felt like I was in a nightclub and it was hard to hear the other people we were with
Great place for a rowdy group to go and have fun
Chelsea the bartender is amazing. I love eating here when we can! The sushi is amazing and my favorite dish is the appetizer shrimp.
Always great sushi. Enjoy the variety and seevixe.
We went there for dinner on New Year’s Eve and was disappointed in both the food and the service. I know they were busy however the food was mediocre at best and the service was not much better. Since when do appetizers/sushi come at the end of your meal. Will not be going back !
I have been here several times before and was truly disappointed this visit. Everyone food was cold and service was slow. We asked the waitress for the manager twice and no one ever came. It was early so only a few tables were being served.
Excellent as always!!
Great food; music too loud if you’re interested in having a conversation with anyone you’re having dinner with.
We had a wonderful dinner tonight here. the shrimp, scallops and lobster dinners never disappoint! and I LOVE their soup and fried rice. We were sooo filled we passed on dessert. but we thoughtly enjoyed our dinner and eating experience. I am not sure if they hostess checked us in when we arrive. (she took our name and looked at her board, and then brought us to our table.....but halfway thru dinner I got a confirmation email from the restaurant to confirm our 5pm reservations....So, since we were eating I hit confirmed on my watch. This was at 5:30p)....So, I am hoping they honored our OpenTable reservation. Anyway, beyond that we had a great dining experience.
Good music but way too loud for my liking I couldn’t hear anything the waitress said over the music and I had to yell so my date could hear me. Friendly staff and food wasn’t bad.
Love the lobster roll
Service was horrific. We had to ask to be waited on. We had to ask for napkins, silverware, water.
Overall great dinner for girls night out and great music.
Best place for large groups. We celebrated a friend’s 30th birthday party.
We had our company Christmas dinner and it was fun and food was amazing !
I was a little disappointed in my servers lack of attention.Glasses were empty for over 10 minutes before another waitress needed to be flagged down to find our server.I requested a birthday cake and recieved two mounds of ice cream..not even garnished with candles. I even requested the cake within the reservations. Dancing was encouraged but with very little room to actually enjoy the experience.I did enjoy the food so much.Thank you for comping.
I always recommend Nikkos to friends and family coming into town for special occasions, large parties, and girls night out. I myself have been there 4 times just in November. So it was only right that I plan my best friends birthday dinner there. I had a group of 15. When I made reservations online where I even put in comments that it was for a birthday party. We arrived on time. My friends were loving the atmosphere that included the DJ while we waited to be seated. However we were seated in the back room. We couldn’t hear the music, couldn’t see the entertainment that is usually provided by the owner, our table was shoved against a wall (so if you had to go to the restroom, you had to make 8 people move). There was a huge projector playing a game so we at least thought we could ask for it to be turned to the local game. Not! We were told the game is also being played in the main dining room and someone must have requested this game. Well it only seemed right that if they are getting all the entertainment that we could at least get some type of accommodation in this small box of a room you’ve shoved us in. It took 1.5 for our entree to come out. We ordered appetizers that came out with our meal. I ordered my favorite lychee martini and NEVER received it. A friends shrimp was burnt on one side but they turned it on the pretty side. The presentation of the plates weren’t what I was use to either. Hardly any zucchini and squash, just a bunch of cabbage. I raved about this place to my friends but I was disappointed and embarrassed. This experience ruined the mood for the evening.
The food was ok. My strip steak was tough and the fried rice was dry. I enjoyed the DJ!
Kinda slow service. Probably because it was slammed packed with birthdays and other events. Dj was there so it was extremely loud. Not good for a first date or quiet evening out. Sushi wasn’t bad. Took kinda long to get but again, probably because it was so busy. I recommend making a reservation unless u wanna try and find a seat at the bar.
Not sure why they had a dj at 7pm....way too loud
Great Sushi and the coconut shrimp appetizer was out of this world!
Went here for my daughter's Sweet 16 and they were more than accommodating for our large group. Friendly staff and of course Nikko was so much fun!! Thank you for helping make her Sweet 16 special!
Energetic vibe and great people watching. Food was very good also.
We were celebrating my friends retirement
Nikko Japanese Restaurant & Sushi Bar by Joanna and James Nix not only have excellent food and beverages but provide a vibrant atmosphere and well trained staff. Our table of 6 had excellent and prompt seating and service. Food and drinks received promptly and very tasty! The 6 of us shared multiple food combinations of sushi and other appetizers. Joanna Nix is not only a great chef but also visited all the tables. Her high energetic personality, costumes, hats, and upbeat DJ music made our out of country relatives and guests evening a very memorable one. Prices were reasonable. We will definitely return!
I thought it was a great visit. Great and quick service.
This is my first time at Nikko and I was very impressed. The service and the food was good and the ambience was nice with the music playing as well. It did get a little loud later in the evening and I was there on a Friday night. But not one time did they try to hurry me along to leave and I b this is my first time at Nikko and I was very impressed. Consistently very good. Broke away from sushi, which is amazing, to try the beef soba, and it’s a new favorite. Gyoza dumplings are excellent. Went on a more quiet week night, and it was really nice to have a date in a big booth and sit next to each other. Friendly and quick service.
Had to wait 30 minutes to be seated even though we had a reservation.
