First time here, searching for seafood on opentable, made reservation. After trying unsuccessfully to order several things, wine, appetizers, etc. waitress fessed up that it was their last night in business and limited menu/wine list. OK, we compromised and stayed and had a delightful dinner. Steamed clams, with flavorful broth, mains of sea bass and salmon very well cooked and garnished. Worth the price, too bad, not many seafood centric in Burbank/Glendale/Pasadena area.

we were told that the restaurant is closing. if that is so, it is a shame as the food was very good- we had oysters, fried shrimp and grilled fish with salads. all good and good service.

The Halibut was not fantastic which I would have expected at the price point but the appetizer "Monkey Brains" was excellent as was the steak that was ordered.

My wife and I visiting on the Saturday evening before Valentine's Day. We were seated at the time of our reservation at a nice table in a cute alcove. We had a Grilled Artichoke and a dish called Monkey Brains for our appetizers. Both were just ok. My wife ordered the Miso Salmon. The dish was underwhelming. My Sea Bass was a bit tough and overcooked. All in all, a very average dining experience.

We went on a Saturday night at approx 7:30pm. This is important because when we ordered they were out of several items. My wife ended up ordering the Halibut because they were out of the Chilean Sea Bass. I ordered the Steak & Lobster tail, but had to get the Ribeye because they were out of NY Strip. Well the Halibut was dry and had no flavor. My wife commented the best part of her meal was the vegetables. As for the Steak & Lobster tail, well the Ribeye was probably the lowest grade of beef they could buy as it had big long veins running from end to end and nearly wouldn't cut with the steak knife. The lobster tail was a joke, as it was only half a tail. Turns out they ran out of Lobster tails as well. I only found that out because I asked. They really didn't want to tell me, but they reluctantly gave me a discount on my meal. ONE BRIGHT SPOT, the Poke Stack was really good. I wouldn't waste your time, there are too many other great places to eat. You've been warned.

Hoping this would be a good seafood addition to Pasadena. But we think their menu is a bit too challenging and they should reduce it. Keep things simpler and focus on fresh fish and shellfish. In Pasadena it needs to be quality over quantity.

Coconut shrimp looked great but had very little coconut flavor and seemed very over cooked. Seafood jambalaya was huge, but crab leg was very hard to eat and had little flavor. Lobster tacos did not seem fresh at all and had little lobster flavor.

Found the place last week and this was our second visit. Both times the food was fantastic, but the service was absolutely phenomenal.

Not fair perhaps, a birthday party going. Food was really really good. Ambiance needs a little work. Service was good but they were busy. Prices were outstanding. Kiss of death is saying a great value but honestly was worth it

We read a few good reviews so we took a chance. We were not disappointed. All items prepared well. Food was hot when delivered. Pace was excellent. Our server checked on us just enough, but not overbearing.
We dined a little late on Sunday night, but even so, everything was in order.

Highly recommend for both the grilled fish and fish and chips. Sides were also delicious and well prepared.

And prices were very reasonable.

We wanted to try some place new and Nikka Fish and Grill sounded really nice. I seem to recall a Thai place was in the spot some 20 years ago... The restaurant is nicely decorate and felt warm and cozy. Kind of empty though and for a short time, we were the only ones there at 6:00 on a Sunday evening.

We started off with a bowl of clam chowder that was delicious and I opted to try the Fish and Chips with halibut while my wife had the fish tacos. Both entrees were tasty, filling, and under $20.

Service was pretty attentive since at the most, there was maybe one other party in the restaurant most of the time we were there. I wonder if this place is going to make it, I hope so because we did enjoy the food here.

A new seafood place. A fish-house style space--small but with a menu for every appetite and price range. From sandwiches to special preps of the day's finest seafood, I hope this new Pasadena spot prospers. Youthful servers who are just a delightful--and know their stuff. The kitchen is quick and much more sophisticated in its creations than an arriving guest would imagine. Smallish portions but a wide variety, perfectly prepared. A small but appropriate wine list with most varietals at three price points--as in, something for every budget. Worth many a repeat visit.

This is such a great find. Every time I've gone, I've had a wonderful experience. The food is terrific and unique, great, friendly service and good prices. The clam chowder is probably the best I've ever had. The owners have done a tremendous job.
