Great vibe and tasty food. Octopus was tender, but wish I had more on the plate.
Loved it had drinks and apps amazing 🥰 I am from NYC and this place would survive in Manhattan , will be back!
Great ambiance! They had 5 or 6 entrees and were out of 3 of them, only options were a salad and a burger which is not what we came to a fine dining restaurant for. Maybe just an off night. Would try again.
A bit underwhelmed. Forced to sit outside in the cold, then they had excuses for not having enough fuel for the heaters.
I can't believe we haven't tried to place before. The patio with the heaters and blankets, the rooms inside were cozy and romantic and beautiful. The food was great and the service was perfect. I can't wait to go back.
Great service and delicious menu
While it was nice to have outdoor music it was insanely loud so that we had to scream over each other to hold a conversation. It really ruined the evening.
Nightcap has amazing food and excellent drinks. I’m not quite sure what is the identity though. Upscale dining option? Or after dinner drink spot? I think it’s best suited for after dinner drinks even though the food is excellent. Kinda feels immature but that could be COVID related
An outstanding combination of delectable food, clever cocktails and superb service.
We went for brunch, I recommend the ricotta pancakes and fried chicken with a bloody Mary!
The owner works extremely hard to make your experience exceptional and she checks on every guest to be certain it is.
Went for brunch sunday morning. Brunch food was delicious (I have also been for dinner and the dinner food is excellent as well). The host and servers were all extremely friendly and helpful. The atmosphere is awesome as well, we had a table outside enjoying the live music they have a couple times a week. Overall great restaurant with even better people.
We haven't been out in a long, long while and have truly missed having dinner and drinks at Nightcap. We had such a terrific time there on Saturday. The food and the service were perfect. Our server Chris was awesome and so helpful.
This is one of my favorite places in all of Austin, mainly because of the people - makes all difference. The locations is awesome, and outside seating safe and wonderful. I would highly recommend for drinks and social hour. The Old Fashion is divine, and while the wine list is limited, it has a bit of each varietal you will ever need.
Excellent food and service! The Brussels, octopus, beets and chicken thighs were superb.
Overall we had a very posture experience. End of our dinner was less positive then then the start. Server forgot two of our entrees and we had to wait an extra hour for an appetizer then our deserts came 45 minutes apart.
Overall - we had a good time; but could have way better flow of dishes coming out from server.
I love the experience at Nightcap. The staff is attentive yet know when to leave you alone. Will definitely be back.
The food and drinks were all so fun and creative, and everything we tried was absolutely delicious. Even if that weren’t the case, I would go back just for the vibe and staff who were all so friendly and engaging without being annoying. Can’t wait to go back!
Love this place - house converted restaurant.
Small menu but great food. Gets a little noisy at night with music.
Love this place. Great food and drinks.
The food was fabulous and the ambiance was hip without being pretentious - I loved it!
Great food Amazing atmosphere good service and food
Not bad, not great, fun style for non-Austin types
We booked via open table for a dinner reservation for 2 people at 7:15 - when we arrived we were shown to a l shaped couch sectional outdoors and a coffee table... for our dinner. I noticed lots of open 'normal tables' for 2 sitting empty and told the lady that we'd like to sit at a normal table for dinner. Not an unrealistic expectation I believe. And they said we can give you a table but you'd have to get up at 8:30pm to make way for another group and we'd need to find you another spot?!! COMPLETELY unacceptable to even consider offering that to people. I've now told our friends TO NOT go there. When people book a dinner reservation, they should expect to not have to sit at a couch withh plates on their laps and should expect to sit at an actual table for a dining experience.
Service and ambiance were great. Food was bland and overpriced.
Perfect mix of quaint and vibrant. We dined on the patio- the Texan/Southwestern decor, string lighting, and 90s r&b created an extremely enjoyable ambiance.
The food was the real main event! The quail was great, the brussel sprouts were the right blend of flavor, charring, and olive oil...and OMG the lavender cocktail was a delight.
Needless to say, yes I recommend this gem!
Descriptions better than the actual food. This is basically a fancy TGIFriday’s.
The food was absolutely god awful as were the cocktails. The service was good but our server had her nose hanging out of her mask the whole time, making us very uncomfortable and needing to hold our masks over our face whenever she came by.
The food was amazing and the service was outstanding! I can't recommend this fine establishment enough!
Very good place — perfect to chill out in a cool part of the city
Had a amazing time, we had never been to Austin and thought to try the place. Our server was great gave us lots of recommendations on drinks. He checked in on us but never was over baring. The food was perfect to taste. And the one drink we had even though we were skeptical at first was actually very good and we hope to come again.
Food i just ok. Ambiance is great. Go here for drinks/dessert and skip the food.
Highly recommend for a date night or a place to have some fun cocktails with a few friends! Stayed here for a good two hours because the ambiance, service, drinks and dip board was so awesome! Definitely going back.
Place was so cute had a great vibe to it. Everyone who worked there was so nice, welcoming, and helpful. Ordered the chicken which thry warn takes 30 minutes and took almost over an hour
My fiancé and I came to nightcap for his birthday. They had balloons for him at our table, it was such a sweet touch. Everything was so great, from the atmosphere to the service to the food. Will definitely be coming back!
Great food and cocktails. Excellent and very friendly service makes you feel super welcome.
Food orders were lost, then some never came at all...took us 45 minutes to get chips and an hour before they brought us silverware and napkins. Basically spent almost 3 hours waiting for brussel sprouts, french fries and bread before we left and went to a good truck. Had we not been hungry maybe I wouldn't have been so disappointed. Goto Bar Peached instead, it's across the street.
What can i say, this place was like making love to your SO. Savory, sweet, spicy, and bit of letting your intuitions go. Great energy for conversation. You don’t have to yell over music or people. They do a really great job of making you feel like you are the only ones there.
The food was very good. Our waiter was considerate and brought potato ships to munch on while we waited for our appetizer. Unfortunately, we had to request silverware in order to eat it when it arrived. We also had to stack our plates in order to make room for the entree.
I don’t know as if I’ve ever had a dining “experience” similar to last night. My girlfriend and I showed up for our 8:30 reservation. Granted, this place was slammed, and my girlfriend and I are very patient people. We were seated approximately 10 minutes after arriving. After another 20, our waiter Sebastian made his way over and took our water/drink order. Another 15 goes by and we get our drinks. We order our food. 5 minutes later our waiter returns to let us know that since it’s so late and near closing, which was 10, they were out of pretty much everything on the menu. So we left. I felt like an inconvenience to the Nightcap staff the entire time I was there.
My ratings on the food were merely because we couldn’t be served. The place was packed (and was still seating reservations as we were leaving), so I’m certain it’s good. I just can’t attest to it.
Friendly staff, good food, well made cocktails. The upcharge to premium liquor was a bit steep, but the cocktails were good.
Our server got a bit busy when we needed our check and didn't see her for a while, but she nice and apologetic for the delay.
We enjoyed the quail and the chicken. Our waitress was very professional and attentive. We enjoyed our outdoor table by the street. We are definitely coming back!
