NiDo Caffé Ratings and Reviews
This was one of the best meals I’ve had in a long time, and I got often to find restaurants. The fruition da mare was incredibly flavorful. I asked to speak to the chef at the end the meal to complement him, which is something I never do. But he had left as we arrived very late in the evening. I would recommend this place to anyone!
We had a reservation for two, when a friend requested to join last moment and was meeting us at the restaurant halfway through our planned meal at NiDo.
When we got to the restaurant, it was half empty and it was 8:30, so they couldn’t have possibly thought the rush was still coming. After explaining the situation to them, the employee seating us refused to seat is for 3.
We left and will likely never go back because of that employee’s arrogance and lack of willingness to accommodate.
It had been quite some time since we were last at NiDo and we had great memories of it. We felt it had slipped since we were last there making it just an average restaurant. Our bruschetta was below average, small pieces with just a small amount of a tasty topping. The giant meatball was OK, but may have had too much filler in the meat. The egglant Parmesan was a perfect small size for a petit appetite. Finally, a pasta dish was acceptable but not outstanding. I would call this a neighborhood place rather than a destination.
One of NiDo cafe’s main problems is inconsistency. Sometimes we have had wonderful meals and service, others mediocre or even substandard. The menu hasn’t changed much in years, and the specials have been variable. It is not clear who is managing the restaurant. We will go back because it can be very good, but the inconsistency is increasingly problematic.
Restaurant allowed 2 screaming 3 year olders to run wild inside restaurant without confronting 2 mothers drinking and ignoring or attempting to control their childrens' behavior. They treated the restaurant as their children's playground. No apologies or consideration by management to our table for enduring their behavior for almost our entire meal. When we complained we were told that they were "regular" customers. Well so WAS I, but no more.
Excelente comida y servicio. Postres divinos cómo la panna cotta con nuttella y el tiramisu. Y la comida divina. Él raviolis relleno de higo con salsa de gorgonzola estaba exquisito y el ambiente y la atención de los mesoneros estuvo excelentes
NiDo Caffe has always been one of our favorites. Every dish that I have ordered has been fabulous. It is always served on time and the ingredients are extremely fresh as well as delicious.
The wait staff is superb, always being very attentive but not over the top.
We look forward to our next dining experience at NiDo as we know it will always be a good one.
We arrived early at 5:30pm for a pre-theater dinner. We had reservations but the restaurant was fairly empty still. It got busier as the night went on. However, service was impeccable throughout. Our glasses were always full, fresh silverware was brought out in between courses, and wait staff was very attentive. Pasta was homemade and delicious. Sauces were excellent, not too much. We split the octopus salad as an appetizer and it was a highlight. Panna cotta for dessert was light and a sweet end to our meal. Prices were quite reasonable. Highly recommend as a cute date spot to enjoy a nice meal. We'll be back to try the mozzarella bar!
We came across this restaurant one day just driving by and now it had become our favorite restaurant!!
It's comfortably casual and you can eat inside or in the patio.
The service is excellent and it's friendly waiters are great!
The food is delicious!
I highly recommend it.
I had been to Niddo several times and i enjoyed the food and so did my guests. this time was different. i noticed a salad that i like (arugula) was not on the menu. i asked waiter if they could make it and he said no. then he went on offering the specials and the swordfish had as side dish the salad that i wanted. ) i again asked the waiter. this is the salad that i want can i just have the salad. he again said no and made no attempts tocorrect it. the swordfish my friend ate came w the salad which they refused to serve me. i decided not to order anything. i was very upset. i dont think this is the way to treat a customer. i was the one who suggested the restaursnt and paid for it and the obly obe who didnt eat. i complained. no one apologized or tried to male any type of accommodations. not coming back again ever
