We like the variety of salsas. The veggie tacos and the fish tacos were both delicious, as was the cactus appetizer. Tasty margaritas, too.

While the food and drinks are great, and the members of the wait staff do the best they can, the management is absolutely abysmal. I made a 7:30 p.m. reservation about 36 hours in advance, and four of us arrived at about 7:35. We were not acknowledged at all for about five minutes (as the restaurant does not have a host), and when somebody did speak to us, he told us there was not a table available. Our reservation was listed in the system, which he showed us, but they did not have a table available. We waited for an additional 20 minutes, standing in the entryway. Nobody offered an apology, a drink while we waited, or even acknowledgment that we had made a reservation that was not being honored. We were finally seated about 30 minutes after our reservation time. Our server did not offer an apology, and when I asked whether the manager might consider comping our first round of drinks given the situation, I was told "no." I would love to love Nico's for the yummy tacos and great margs, but the total lack of acknowledgment and respect really put a damper on what would have been an otherwise great evening. I recommend you choose a different place for a fun dinner out in uptown.

Pretty poor service, ignored and no one seemed interested in really making us feel welcome or appreciated. Food was cold when delivered and who charges for chips! Too bad we were hoping for a nice evening.

Met up with a friend at Nico's for lunch on a Sunday. It was pretty quiet and we were seated immediately. We ordered Barbacoa, Chorizo, Pastor, and Pescado tacos. All were very good eats. I'm looking forward to going back on a Monday for 1/2 price Margaritas.

Our margaritas were tasty, as were the chips and guacamole. Surprisingly, for an early weekend dining slot, they were sold out of the squash tacos, so I ordered a quesadilla instead. It turned out to be a delicious second choice.

I've been to Nico's before but this night the service was not good at all. Our server never asked if we wanted drinks when we sat down and didn't seem familiar with anything on the menu. He did not come back to check how our food was either. Fortunately, it was delicious, as I expected it to be. It was quiet but the temps may have kept people home. Our table was cold as we were near the door. There were other options for seating that would have been better on such a cold night.

We were looking forward to trying a new Mexican restaurant. The food was very disappointing. It lacked flavor and was not authentic at all. The food wasn't even hot when it arrived at the table.

I love this place. It is warm and cozy. The food is prepared with love.
The Carne Asada outstanding - tender and tasty. Margarita's are best in the city with 100% Agave. Alejandro provided an exceptional customer experience!
