Nico's Taco and Tequila Bar
The house is adorable, but the tables, windows and bathrooms were filthy. Our scallop tacos were cold and tasteless. The quest and chips were excellent. The service was very good .
Nico's was awesome. The food was amazing, the patio is a great place to sit on a summer day, and the service was exceptional. We will definitely be going back!
Fun and tasty night at Nico’s. The everyday 9:00 pm Happy Hour features half-price tacos and half-price margaritas. Not only was everything really good, it was a really good value too.
If you're there for dinner on a Saturday, stick around for the 1/2 price margarita happy hour that starts at 9:00 if you can. 👌💯
Excellent experience! Food was amazing. Tacos and salsa really great!
Not sure. It was quite noisy and the service wasn't great. The food was good.
Fresh update to old Muffuletta site. Great menu and moderate prices. Nice addition to this neighborhood.
Staff and food were fabulous! They could offer a wider variety of tequilas. Surprised not to find Herradura and El Jimador on their menu.
We were in town for a convention. Found Nicos on Open Table. We are in one of the rooms upstairs. Our waiter was a little quiet in the fairly noisy room but service was fast. Drinks were delicious and we all enjoyed our dinners. Definitely recommend.
Wonderful food, lovely atmosphere. The only challenge was that they didn't have our Open Table reservation. Fortunately we were there early enough to get seating pretty quickly.
Food was great, but service was not. They did not seem to care that we had reservations - or that we were celebrating a birthday. (I had included that bit in our reservation)
When we first got there, we told a waiter that we had reservations. He said, ok, give me a second to clear a table. He then went on to take an order from one of his tables. Someone else then saw us. I explained that we had reservations but she didn't seem to care.
I didn't realize that the restaurant was on two floors. Had I known that I would have asked specifically for a table on the first floor due to physical limitations on my part. From my seat, I could see a massive hole in the wall that was only partially hidden by some drywall.
It took forever for the waitress to come to our table. This continued throughout our meal. Our dinners came at different times. Just poor training I'd say, and a lack of caring for their customers.
I might be tempted to go there again because the food was excellent, but only if they have a change in management and staff.
Awesome margaritas and always go for the tacos. Run very well and even when busy, you can expect top notch service.
We were there on a Friday night, so the noise level was to be expected. Our margaritas were superb! We each had a different entrée and both were delicious. We will definitely go there again.
Great restaurant only thing I wish they had blended Margaritas great food.
My only disappointment was that our server kept coming back to our table, in an effort to clear every single dish, cup, plate, piece of silverware to get us to leave. Not happy and feel that was rude
I prefer a bit less noise. Otherwise this is a fun restaurant with good food and friendly staff.
Food is always fresh and delicious. The drinks are fabulous too. The wait staff is very attentive and helpful. Love going there!
The restaurant itself it great atmosphere. Server and food were mediocre especially for price. Margaritas were top notch. Would go again for drinks but not food.
great having Eloté this far north in the middle of winter.
We had a great experience. We had a reservation but had to wait a bit for the table to clear- not a big deal at all. Well worth the wait. Staff was very nice, food and drinks were great. Will definitely go back again
Fair portions, and the happy hour menu is as price-fair as it is compact. It seems to be about fair value for quality Mexican food in the Twin Cities. We'll be back.
I’ve been to Nico’s twice now and have had stellar, quick service both times! I can’t wait to go in the summer when they have their front porch open for dining/sipping on their delicious and creative margaritas.
Great place and a really cool environment! Great tacos!
very good authentic MX food. They have a good selection of Margaritas. The restaurant is in an older house - funky, but hip - if you like that sort of thing. We did, and will be returning.
Overall our experience was good. Our food and drinks were good, although drinks may be slightly over priced.
Totally enjoyed the evening from the beginning with impressive and enthusiastic service by Erick our waiter. He had good recommendations and descriptions for our food choices. Erick was always near by to make sure we had everything we needed and that we were happy with our food. Great Margaritas! Can't wait to return.
Nothing very memorable here. Lots of great Taco places in the twin cities that stand out beyond Nico's. The service was ok, not great. I will likely not come back.
Excellent food and ambience! Service was friendly and helpful!
Reservation defaulted to other location so be careful.
We loved Nicos and can’t wait to go back! Best guac I’ve ever had!
The place was nice and the food they had available was pretty tasty. The only problem was they were out of multiple dishes and it was primetime on a Friday night. Seemed odd and was disappointing.
I’ll be back! Thanks for the great food, drinks and atmosphere!
Perhaps short staffed, one waiter, extremely loud music playing which prevented conversation, noise level of other patrons high to speak over music, food was fine, we ate as quickly as possible, would not revisit.
Saw kitchen staff go to use restroom and throw their apron on floor on dusty radiator, then put on apron and go back to work.
Unique atmosphere with excellent mexican food. Very authentic.
Service was so-so, they kept forgetting to bring out dishes we ordered and the waitress when she finally would come back to our table would notice. The food itself is not great and I wouldn’t recommend it and will not be going back.
We went for restaurant week thinking it would be a good place to take our 8 year old daughter and infant son. The food was very good. I enjoyed my Pozole and the Chorizo Tacos were some of the best I've ever had.
We'll definitely go back as it's an easy place to go as a family and the food was good.
Went to Nico's for a date! The food was fantastic (even if tacos aren't the most graceful food to eat), and the drinks were delicious. The Margaritas are solid. There was only a small hiccup with forgotten sides but otherwise the service was on point! They really know how to keep you happy and help with any questions with the menu. Definitely would recommend Nico's!
Great service, authentic Mexican food, a little pricey lots of add ons like rice and beans etc
